I like my Avengers stuff being Earth-centric, but I'm lately finding myself curious as to how well Tony's new rig would hold up in the current cosmic setting.
Hey'd be ok in power level amongst the Guardians I suspect, but compared to Nova's strike team he's really small fry.

Reeeeeeally small fry. Unless they pull an Independence Day and extremis can hack into all alien technology too.

Even then in terms of power comapre him to Quasar, Nova or Gladiator, they'd tear him to pieces. Think about it, someone with Thor's power level is on that team and it's debatable whether he is the most powerful guy amongst them. The Worldmind can probably hack just as well if not better than Tony anyway.
Still, I really like the idea of Cosmic Avengers, I'd love to see the big Earth heroes interacts with the Guardians and Nova Corps.
I've come to associate the Avengers brand with generic bands of heroes who have no real cohesion, mission, or motivation. So, I'd rather any new groups of heroes develop new names and group identities rather than piggybacking on the Avengers name.

I'm fairly sure it can, in WWH he hacked into a Kree starship.

Looks like with these teasers:
We might have a Heroes for Hire series launching in December.

If Cho can hack alien tech then Tony definitely can
Wierd choice in Falcon. I mean, Elektra's an assassin so hriing her makes sense, but Falcon? He's neve been into that kind of thing at all.
Hopefully this won't go down the Avengers road of just being a bunch of randoms thrown together. I'd much rather see Iron Fist, Power Man, Elektra, Paladin etc in this book, a real mercenaries/working guys book (Danny even fits in that now, he's given away his billions and is basically an average guy now).

Here's what I would like to see, but not really be a huge harping point for the book, like what JMS is doing with Superman trying to make it deal with real stuff.
Superheroes need money. Tony Stark is flat broke (and this really needs to be addressed, it can't be swept under the rug), Reed probably doesn't have a lot of money to just throw out to people, since the FF is a business (unless this was ignored from Waid's run), and since the SHRA was repealed heroes can't work for the government and be paid (or was this completely ignored post CW? It was even mentioned in CW#2). And the economy is bad. So hiring heroes for random jobs, with maybe a core team of three or four people, with hired heroes on the side, I like that idea. You don't go over the top with references to the current economy, but you at least acknowledge it. Danny can't keep every hero on the payroll, but paying enough for a job to cover rent for a year or 6 months, that would be a nice thing to see.
Granted this would be highly dependent upon whoever writes the book and their use of subtlety, but I think that would be enough to make the book stand out from other hero books in the MU.

Or just bring back New Invaders.
I would buy this book. Hell, I liked the previous H4H quite a bit.
It seems the Power Man & Iron Fist mini Van Lente was going to write in January has the subtitle Heroes for Hire for the two heroes, maybe it expanded to include others? That would kind of tie into Marvel's new strategy of releasing a mini to test the waters, then an ongoing.
I enjoyed the H4H that spun out of Civil War, but I think it was probably a YMMV situation. It had lots of Misty Knight and Colleen Wing action, but towards the end was quite a bit about Humbug. Still, you can find the three volumes on Amazon for pretty cheap if you buy them from third party vendors.
What is Misty Knight's status on killing people? Only when necessary, or never ever ever?
Because Paladin & Elektra could make a pretty big body count.
(Blazing Skull should be the next member, the team has no tank)
In Misty Knight's promo there is a dude with a bullet hole in his head, don't know if that counts for anything haha.
in Immortal Iron Fist her and Colleen Wing were killing Hydra goons left, right and centre. She was pretty cool with it then. Besides you'd have thought she was cool with the killing seeing as she carries a big fuck off revolver.

First half is about tie-ins to events, and Brevoort seems to miss the point that it's not a matter of having essential reading tie-ins to the event, but rather just not having so many branching tie-ins out there to begin with.
Also the Heroes for Hire title spins out of Shadowland.
And here is an Avengers timeline of upcoming events similar to Rip Hunter's whiteboard in Booster Gold:
Seems like those Ultron-like robots we see in Iron Man and Captain America Reborn are going to show up soon.
Someone with better eyesight's gonna need to pick this thing apart.
I am excited for an another Ultron based megaevent though.

save the image and zoom in Furu gosh
It has most of the stuff we already know, like Chaos War, the 5 lights, Hope coming back, BP as new Man Without Fear, and things like Steve's Vision (from Reborn), something about rings meaning Mandarin, etc.
There's something called Nova Antiquus on there, I guess that's from Secret Avengers, since it's right after the start of the Heroic Age.

"Wingman for hire" is HILARIOUS.
What is in December? Christmas.
Santas for Hire, and that's the end of that chapter.

I dunno...Falcon just doesn't seem like the kind of guy to take money for doing good deeds. And H4H seems too low-class for Elektra.

His Deviantart gallery, looks like he drew the Psylocke mini a few months back
Looks like they're playing it as Batman without a huge fortune, hiding out anonymously in Hell's Kitchen and taking over DD's job as protector.
I pretty much have to buy this comic now.
The cast of it was moot
Get it
But I guess I'm kind of interested in what happened to him after Dark Reign.
