I currently have both a 360 and a PS3 running through my HD tv via hdmi. I'm wanting to add a new section to my website for Super Street Fighter IV replays with commentary by me, and was wondering if there is any good way to stream the images and gameplay happening on my TV to my PC for editting.
Right now I'd usually just film the gameplay using a video camera and transfer the files to my PC, but this isn't proving as sharp as I'd like. Any suggestions??
What you want is something called a capture card. I can't recommend a specific one as I haven't really investigated them, but an example of one that works with HDMI is here: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/
It looks expensive and I'm sure someone who does records Let's Plays of 360 or PS3 games would have suggestions.
