Today I Die Again is one of those pixelly arty indie things that you either love or love to hate. Takes all of 20 minutes to dick about and find your way to the end so you'd be annoyed if you paid for it even if it is quite clever. Good job it's free for today then!
I played the Flash version of this awhile back. It is... eh. The ending is very wtf and the whole thing reeks of art-wank.

I like it a lot, but I can't figure out what to do after I get the word 'fight'. There's these blocks at the top of the screen that I have to get rid of somehow (I think) but I can't get rid of them.
Got Ascendancy last night. Plays just like the old one. Feels soooo good to play it again. What a great game.
I imagine it could be difficult to play in larger galaxies since it can be tricky to select some things like planets, ships, and stars. AI is better than it used to be. I am kinda impressed. It took some work to out tech and out fleet the AIs. I think I have a good lead now. Put it on the harder atmosphere setting next.
The console releases (at least the Jupiter) are a bit random. I've had the Jupiter become available in year 8 or 9, and had it not show up in the first 20 years at all.

Drag the chick at RAMMING SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED into each of them while you have fight in the poem.

Awesome, thanks! I got confused because you can also
tap the blocks to make them dissapear, but then they respawn, but if you keep doing it sometimes they stay away.
I, too, downloaded it today to my iPhone 4 and it fired right up. I even had Aralon and Real Racing 2 running in the background (and I didn't restart my phone, either). I only played through part of the first map, though.
Are there any good asynchronous strategy/board games that people (particularly anyone on here) actually play?
Carcassonne is amazing. You can find me on there using my username at gmail.com. It is the gold standard for awesome asynchronous play on iOS and I consistently have 5 or 6 games going at once. Though, I turned off the sound for the notifications. The voice says "It's your turn now!" and scared the shit out of me when it went off one night at 2 in the morning.

Heard the proposition that RIAA and MPAA should join forces and form "Music And Film Industry Association"?
Dungeon hunters works great on my iphone4. Picked it up for $4 and regretted it. For a $1 it's probably worth it. Seems like a solid game, just not fun.
Does Galaxy on Fire 2 (GoF2) have an option between tilt controls and the on-screen joystick?

It seems VERY cramped on my iPhone 4. I'll give it a try on my iPad -- hopefully the extra real estate helps
And how do you do that without a finland credit card?
When you go in to Create New Account, there is a payment option of "None" on the far right of the options list. Then just pick a random Finland address and download it.
I'm not sure if the in-app purchases work once its on a device signed in to your American account, but when I switched back to my US account, it converted the prices of the mana potions to US$.
I'm an Animator, account name is Inksplat if anyone else joins up and wants to add me.

Whoops. Accepted you then deleted you accidentally!
Sent you a friend quest in return. :P If you expand my friend thing, don't hit the little minus sign!
Have to go to the same place where you sent the friend request to accept it. Hopefully they'll add in push notifications, or at least something that shows you have a request from the main menu.
Not sure if we can use eachother's Beacons since we're not on the same team, but feel free to try using mine if you need any red spirits.

Cover Orange is a pretty good game in the same vein as Angry Birds and Cut the Rope in that its a physics based puzzler where the object is to move oranges (with faces of course) into some area where you can cover them up before the rain cloud comes to kill them. The quicker you do it the more points you score. Comes with 120 levels out of the gate so it isn't short and is free right now.

Sooo not into this whole location based stuff.
Sorry, I don't want the Internet to know where I am. I will tell you if I wish.
I never even touched that thing in the facebook app.
That said, the glyph drawing looks pretty cool for spells.

I got my company running well now. I have a surplus of almost 100 million and the latest gaming console is the Gamebox (Gamecube).
Will more consoles open up later? like more advanced imitations of the ps2, xbox, etc?
I seem to have run into a hole where my crew can do everything so whats the point in continuing.
Make your own console.
Also there is a console that gets release that is also a space probe. Kinda cool. I think it comes out after the 20 years game time, though.

Aaand it won't run. It crashes. Yes, I restarted the phone. Apparently that's the main peeve with it too given the reviews.

Well you said you reset it, but: which method did you use? Hold the lock button, or hold the home+lock buttons?

Check it out.
It no longer allows iTunes file transfer, which kind of ruins it for me, but it comes with some decent freeware games.
I'm not updating so I can continue to play Dungeon Hack on my phone.

I just dragged xcom over from my steamapps folder, and it works perfect.. That's awesome.
Yes.
BTW, combat gets super hard later on. I kinda wish it had a physical joystick.

Not seeing any way to do that yet. Looks like you'll have to either make a new account or just stick with Architect and add me anyway. :P

you can still transfer files in using a piece of external software, and they did a bunch of bugfixes.
Let's play Mario Kart or something...
It works, but the mouse control is... wonky.
