    I did not expect that. Every cross seemed to have awfully slow back spin on it, and it was just awful to watch. Then that happens.

    When the Under-17 WC was in Ottawa a couple of years back PRK qualified. They're "fans" were the best - there weren't many but they had T-shirts that said "do it for Lil'Kim" and a great photo of Kim-Jong Il.

    Portugal is in the top 3 teams I don't like and as I look around the only reason there's only 4 Portuguese in my immediate vicinity is that several took the day off or worked from home to watch this match. I better not cheer when Ivory Coast scores their second

    Is there any form of instant replay in soccer? Also, given the pervasiveness of flopping and other shenanigans, why don't they review the footage and give post-game cards where appropriate? You'd think that a red card for faking a fall would put a stop to that behavior pretty quickly...

    Its being debated for critical calls (goal or no goal, penalties possibly), but how often to do it and the like is being debated. Being uninterrupted is really important to most in the sport, but I think you'll see it eventually (possibly like in the NFL where you have a finite number of challenges)
