DDV every time you mention a story involving one of your friends they are trying to commit suicide, or going to jail, or sitting in a car staring into space for hours, or just saying really stupid shit constantly
I am baffled that you haven't gone nuts and shot up a mall because your family/social circle is 100% composed of numbnuts
They're cool guys to hang with sometimes, but yeah, I definitely need some new friends.
I've got a job interview tomorrow. I am so goddamn nervous. I wonder if I should get my hair trimmed, and I wonder if I should bring a resume. Even though my resume is effectively bare of work experience and the message such a document would convey boils down to "I work gewd."

yes and yes. both are gestures that say, "I'm actually putting some effort into trying to get this job"
Of course, that you got an interview without a resume in the first place raises some red flags, but if you did submit a resume, you should bring extras just in case. Being prepared and all that.
Also I'm loving this two dog thing. One dog is pretty independent and the other's not, but they both seem to work really well together.

How do you tell your parents that if they go on vacation without you, that would be your vacation.
I think I'm getting a Bamboo for my birthday, which should be sweet.
Now I just need a new, dependable graphics card so my display doesn't keep freezing and making my restart my computer.
Speaking of tablets and the acquisition thereof, a local big fx studio is liquidating all their hardware on tuesday. With a bit of luck, I, and a few of my cooworkers might be able to snag a few 21 inch cintiqs for ludicrously cheap.
It would fit in well alongside my 12inch cintiq, 6x9 wireless intuos 4, and 9x12 intuos 3.

In the near future I am going to have some art commissioned, and instantly I thought of you. I love lurking in this forum and checking out the genius. So I figure why not exchange some of that genius for money?
For a local arts fesetival, I am making a pulp magazine homage full of schlocky stories featuring derring do and fisticuffs in fantastic locales - it's gonna need a cover at least, and possibly more. However, it's still in rather early stages yet, and my budget is uncertain (probably most of it will be going in to printing - right now I'm waiting on quotes from printers). Besides, the launch of the zine isn't for about two months. So, what sort of rates could I expect, if this all worked out?
PS if you are interested despite the rather tentative details, please PM me!
I just found out that several of my closest friends are going to be leaving town forever within the next six months, many before the end of August
This is going to be a great year for productivity, I guess. Horrible lonely productivity
Welcome to my world. All of my friends went off to college last year. But a lot of them are back for the summer, so woohoo!
It's one of the harshest facts of life that your friends and you are going to grow up, gain vastly different world views, and then go their seperate ways. The most important thing to do is to let them go and find new ones.
Of course this is coming from a guy who still talks to a friend he made 12 years ago and hasn't actually seen in close to 9

Well, I would too. I'd first want to get to Watts. It'd be nice if I could find a place to live down there that isn't $900+ per month.
For that matter, it'd be nice if I could find a job down there. I've been sending a lot of resumes out to that area for the last 6 months or so without so much as an email in reply.
I haven't played oblivion forever. I bet there's some pretty awesome mods out nowadays. It was just starting to get big when I stopped playing. What mods are you using Tam?
I'm still trying to figure out if I should get the unofficial patches.
I'll probably go with OOO, the Elven Map, No Psychic Guards, and the one that makes everyone look younger.
Nice, I didn't have the elven one, but I did OOO and No Psychic. So I'm a fan. I also did a couple weapon packs just because I felt the game was a little lacking there. I did 2 playthroughs with no mods though, so it's obviously not that bad.

"fuck off"?
And remember not to say it in an angry tone, best if you're not coming off rude.

Need to somehow put off getting an intuos until August, or at least july. Buying things when you want them is a sign of moral weakness!

You and me 4:5 inch graphire 3, we can do it! Nobody's gonna stop us!

If its so awesome, why are you on the internets during it?
:P
Is that that program Rebecca Guay founded?
I so want to take that class someday. Would that I had money.
