Newish DD service Green Man gaming is giving away a game for completely free. You can pick any game from their service, and get it for free.
Register here. Then add the game you want to your basket, and then apply coupon "1FREE-PROMO-WORLD" and that game will be completely free
Highlights include:
Beat Hazard
Crash Time 3
Cryostasis
Dark Sector
Darwinia
Elven Legacy
Dawn of Magic 2
Grand Ages: Rome
Infernal
Kings Bounty: The Legend
KrissX
Men of War: Red Tide
NecroVisioN: Lost Company
Ninja Blade
Obscure 2
Painkiller [Black Edition]
The Void
Trine
Uplink
VVVVVV
World of Goo
Zombie Driver
It's not a fantastic service. It has a client that is needed for install. It's gimmick is that you can trade games back when you are done with them, but I'm unconvinced.
Still, free is free.
VVVVVV and The Void are both fantastic games that might have passed some people by.

I don't pay attention because food and bills are a more important thing to worry about. And nobody specifically brings things to my attention. So slag off.
Are the games you listed the only ones free, or are they actually the highlights/best ones available? Because I wouldn't mind giving Beyond Divinity a shot.

Every single game on the site can be had for free, those are just the ones that jumped out at me.
It's Men of War: Red Tide, which is a substandard standalone expansion. Fun to play through with a friend in coop but otherwise the original Men of War is a much better bet.

Yeah, when you get to the Buy screen, put in the voucher, click Add once -- nothing happens -- then click Buy. If it does it right it should skip you over payment and go straight to confirm.
Though the client crashed when I opened it to download my game. And now my username/pass isn't working.
I would assume that yes, they are getting absurd amount of traffic. But I do love it when people bring these kinds of things to my attention. It's like a single day of Hanukkah in the summer.
I watched every one of CannibalK9's videos for his The Void LP except the last, and while I don't remember all of it, I think I may know too much about the game to not make it as interesting as if I went into The Void like a newborn babe.
Are there any opinions on if it's still worth playing like that?
I think I'm stuck on deciding between The Void, Trine, and VVVVVV.

^^^ DBM that was your first thought upon seeing 'The Void' on the list too? hi5s! How's the LP (I only watched the first couple of eps)
Anyways the game seemed really unique and fun in its playstyle from what he showed off, so I got it
Edit: I can say with certainty that VVVVVV is really awesome but also really short, The Void seems meatier
Don't forget King's Bounty and Grand Ages: Rome, two pretty awesome games that are also up there. And really Men of War: Red Tide isn't a bad option. And I heard Brigade E5: New Jagged Union got modded to hell and back to fix its issues. Anyone know if that's true?

That was exactly my first thought upon seeing The Void there. If you've only seen the first few, I would just say buy it (which you obviously have), there's tons of great stuff that you see and learn about later in the game.
The Let's Play is pretty fantastic, I recommend it highly; although if you're planning on playing the game, you might consider playing through first and then watching up to where you are. Or maybe beating the game and then watching.
And I was a bit worried about the length of VVVVVV, so I think that's narrowed it down to The Void and Trine. From what I saw of Trine, it looks like tons of fun, and sounds right up my alley of puzzle/platformer.
Does anyone know how long it lasts, though? I'd really like to capitalize on the amount of time I can waste playing the one free game I can get here.

This is awesome! Downloading Painkiller Black Edition because I feel like shooting some things.
Interesting.
I wonder how many unscrupulous people are going to make multiple accounts.
Oooh, I nearly got to the checkout that time. Timed out with a gateway error right after I put the code in.
That certainly beats the "we will help people steal games on a mass scale through our digital distribution service" alternative.
edit: they really ought to get their website onto their game distribution servers or something because I literally downloaded 400 megs of The Void in the time it took me to make this post. Holy shiiiit. That even beats Steam.
Thanks for the heads up. I think I'm going to pick up VVVVV. There aren't Mac versions on the site, are there? I was able to register, but now the site won't load at all.

Actually, World of Goo...
Unemployment don'tcha know. :P
It's been available for a penny more than once.
It's bloody good btw.

Spiffy. I'll have to put this to use after the weekend, as I've reached my monthly limit.
I kept putting the voucher in over and over, because there wasn't any on-screen confirmation. Apparently their system did not like my repetition, heh.

I just spoke to Terry (developer of VVVVVV).
He says he knew nothing about this promotion beforehand, but that they have promised to pay him in full for all downloaded copies.

I gather that it is terrible.
Review here.
I think I'll just buy The Void instead.
