This seems really nice. Or it would be if the website wasn't slow as shit. I blame Lewie for killing it.
Even if it might be pretty bad, I'm somewhat interested in Ninja Blade because I've been wanting something similar to DMC for a while and it seems like it might be that.
Seems like I've heard good stuff about Elven Legacy. Turn based strategy, right?
I've always got room for another good TBS.
Yeah it's part of the Fantasy Wars series. Spiritual successor to Fantasy General and balls hard all in all.

Just to be sure: Is it normal that it asks for payment info and lists a price when the page before looked like it had accepted the code and that it'd be free?
EDIT: And I guess it's also switching from euros to pounds for no apparent reason.
So has anyone actually gotten a free game out of this deal yet? I've managed to register and one time I got far enough for it to indicate that the code has worked, but I was unable to actually purchase the game before the website went wonky again.
After the website being stupid for awhile and a couple problems with the "Capsule" itself, managed to snag Zombie Driver and so far it works flawlessly, pretty good game too.

So I can register, choose a game, download their proprietary software, download the game, uninstall their proprietary software, and never look back, right?
Or does their stuff need to be running to play games purchased from their site?
Because I'd be down for snagging some Painkiller or Zombie Driver, but I don't need another digital distro platform.
I'd check the website itself, but it's not loading for me right now.

Their horrible software needs to be running, I fear.
It was pretty good this morning, it's just the amount of traffic they're getting is fucking it up.
I did manage to buy Trine despite timing out several times during the purchasing process, it just takes persistence. Now I'm having trouble logging into their software, however.
I managed to get Cryostasis downloaded, but I had to manually run the exe since I couldn't log into their Capsule thing. Seems to work fine after that.
Not even a free game is worth dealing with the broken servers and another mandatory client...
Thanks for the heads up, Lewie, but I'm gonna pass this one.
That is a damn solid list of games. I've already got most of them, though, and have no intention of installing another client. It's a pretty cool promotion.

I'm with Storm on this one. I just wish I'd known prior to registering. Not quite so free, after all.

well i mean you would've known if you had read the op
Newish DD service Green Man gaming is giving away a game for completely free. You can pick any game from their service, and get it for free.
Register here. Then add the game you want to your basket, and then apply coupon "1FREE-PROMO-WORLD" and that game will be completely free
Highlights include:
Beat Hazard
Crash Time 3
Cryostasis
Dark Sector
Darwinia
Elven Legacy
Dawn of Magic 2
Grand Ages: Rome
Infernal
Kings Bounty: The Legend
KrissX
Men of War: Red Tide
NecroVisioN: Lost Company
Ninja Blade
Obscure 2
Painkiller [Black Edition]
The Void
Trine
Uplink
VVVVVV
World of Goo
Zombie Driver
It's not a fantastic service. It has a client that is needed for install. It's gimmick is that you can trade games back when you are done with them, but I'm unconvinced.
Still, free is free.
VVVVVV and The Void are both fantastic games that might have passed some people by.
People are suggesting you can just run the .exe file after you download a game using capsule. Would I be able to just move all of The Void's files out of the capsule folder and uninstall capsule after that? If so, that would be awesome, largely because I hate using more programs than I have to.
He says he knew nothing about this promotion beforehand, but that they have promised to pay him in full for all downloaded copies.
He knew nothing as in he didn't know they were giving them away for free or he knew nothing as he didn't know these guys were selling his stuff at all?
well i mean you would've known if you had read the op
Which I understood, but its being made to sound more like Steam, where you need to continue running the client even after download and install. Is that not so?
I've heard absolutely nothing about Crash Time 3, can't even find any reviews. It appears to have cars in it, however. Does anyone have any experience with it, or should I grab Trine instead?

Oh shit! Is this a flimsy excuse for me to reiterate how awesome Dark Sector is? Because it seems like a flimsy excuse for me to reiterate how awesome Dark Sector is. It's so awesome. But be warned that there's a major bug with running the game fullscreen at a widescreen resolution. Windowed mode is fine.
This also reminds me that I haven't played The Void yet, even though it's been sitting in my Steam list since release. I should probably get on that.

You fight a zombie helicopter, LewieP's argument is invalid. Unless the port is shitty. Then well....

It's going to be hard to choose just one.
Site is geting hammered too much for me to get in.

Dawn of Magic (1) had some interesting concepts, but utterly half-assed execution.
Worth a shot, I guess?

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
