spells come out faster but with less damage, aka. more stuff to do
Also, built in chalice?
as i posted above, i think it's a huge nerf compared to his old passive. Sure you had to get an archangels staff with him, but that's a pretty good item and gave great ap anyway, and his passive added fairly massive amounts..now..eh.
Built in chalice is sort of a lame passive. I mean, okay, he has part of an item for free. Great.
a. it's significantly better than his previous one for about 90% of the game
b. having about 700g worth of an item for free is pretty incredible, especially when it means you literally never have to go back to fountain except to buy

his passive was only relevant during a teamfight, in which he maybe got off 3 abilities that did not really scale all that well with ap anyway

infinite laning is far better
You could already have infinite early game laning with a few mana regen runes, which most peoples caster pages have anyway..Against a caster heavy team his passive could give him around an extra 200-ish ap pretty easily(stole a maximum of 90 from each champion) this combined with the change to his ult seem to make him hugely weaker late game.
it's not completely horrible, i mean there are worse passives (i'm looking at you nidalee) but it seems like a one step forward, two back to me.
I guess I just never really feel like a tank when I play shen, no matter how I build him. I just end up getting focused down pretty much instantly and that's that.
Am I supposed to still be trying to use feint all the time? It seems that's what this nerf is telling me. "Don't use vorpal blade to heal. You're supposed to get raped by any ranged character" ?
edit: And to be clear, I'm not saying shen is a bad champ or not a good tank, just that I don't know how to play him anymore.

Use vorpal blade to harass. If you can't use it to harass, use it to heal.

You have to have a team to know to hit the ones you taunted. Taunt isn't a good initiator really, cause the guys in front are the tanks. You need to taunt the ones that get out of place or try to run.
Yeah, feint sucks now, level last, I use it reflexively occasionally and usually regret it cause it is energy that could have saved me with a dash.
i'll have to play some veigar once this goes live. i'm kinda meh all in all about everything but the dark matter changes.

I'll try Vivi after the patch. I'm wondering why they needed to buff Ashe? I'm pretty sure she's already good enough, with a 'free' frozen mallet effect in frost arrow, plus volley (though I think the nerf will help balance her early game) and the retard arrow. Who knows, maybe the bug fixes will be more of a nerf to her than the actual changes.

they nerfed her with the exception of her new ability and late game volley
Would've been nice if Alistar's Headbutt would remove spell shields... but I guess Poppy's charge is just that more powerful. :?
edit: Grand Skyfall now breaks spell shields and is blocked by spell shields.
So... it breaks the spell shield after its blocked? Kinda worded strangely.
Having limited experience with Panth I can't be sure at all, but perhaps before it would just ignore them? And now the wording is set to mean that a spell-shielded enemy won't take damage/slow but it will strip the shield?
Okay, Veigar's new passive totally changes the way to play him. Before, the best way was to stack Tear + Codex built into DFG and Archangels. Now he doesn't need that kind of mana regen so RoA and Zhonyas will get him into high-end AP levels for the same gold. He also doesn't need Clarity in order to start farming AP early so you can grab a not-useless summoner spell and increase your survivability.
I don't like the change to Baleful Strike or the change to his ult (makes him even more of an anti-caster specialist; no tank stacks AP and no legit carry stacks ap) but that passive change alone might make up for it. Even with Tear->AA / full MP5 runes / MP5 masteries / Clarity, the limiting factor on Veigar was still mana regen unless you were killing champs with PB every chance you had. This could make him less restricted in mana which translates to longer staying power in a lane.
Wasn't expecting all the Vivi changes but they seem interesting. And I like the Ez change cause I haven't built him ap in forever and the heal was useless. Ashe changes though... omg vision abilities. I love them so. I thought it would never make it in after they took it out a few test realms ago.
What's everyones opinions on Kog? He seems fun, not sure how viable he is though. Short CD artillery skill shot does sound like it could be a blast. Loving sniping running low hp people with Ez, Kog just seems to take it up a notch.
Call MIA. It's better to call it and then say "nevermind," as you find yourself wrong, then to call it exactly as their stun goes off on someone in another lane.
NO Berserker Boots I recommend in the stronger terms possible not to buy Berserker Boots until level 30, at which point you shouldn't buy them either, but you at least have the experience base to inform your opinion. Buy Mercury treads.
Pretty much never get Zerkers. Pretty much every character is better off with Merc Treads or Swift Boots. A few exceptions are some dodge characters and sorcerer boots for a caster vs a team with few ccs.

Because Mercury treads are just that good.
35% (after the patch. 40 for now) reduction to the duration of all CCs AND it has MR which is difficult to get on an otherwise cheap and useful item.
CC kills you.
Ask the tristana that constantly got wrecked because she had greaves instead of treads and I had morgana root and then soil with rylai's scepter for another snare while my whole team caught up.

Man. Teemo may still kind of suck as a serious hero, but I've had some fun games with him tonight. 14/1/7, 4/2/8, 11/1/6. All victories, in a row.
"First good teemo I've seen" (maybe the only compliment I've gotten while playing league of legends~~)
That 14/1/7 game was hilarious, too. I was playing with a friend who, sadly, sucks. My singed would have ... Probably half as many losses as he does, but I do games with this guy. And I love him, and he knows he sucks, and he's trying to get better. Maybe one day he will? I don't know. But anyway, to start his feed-a-thon he basically kills himself. But(!) My harass with Teemo is so strong that I can get a kill out of it. He apologizes, I tell him it worked out. He proceeds to make the exact same mistake again (he pushes too far up, a dickless pantheon abuses heartseeker strike's damage glitch, singed throws) but this time I get a double kill. Then, Pantheon leaves the lane, to trade with Soraka.
After some laning and decent harass, my friend performs a successful Alistar "Trampoline Accident" Combo (he's never done it before! Flash, bounce, throw, he actually pressed all of those buttons!) and we kill Soraka. Singed is terrified at this point, and when the team fights start he doesn't even come back to this lane when I push it.
And the teemogeddon continues for an early win. The worst part? That Singed was the person who ended up killing me (he didn't get the kill, but it was his throw that disarmed me). The best part? After all those turret hits he took to finish me, and my poison, it only took one mushroom to push him over the edge, and their Soraka's ult was on cooldown. I had my revenge, and I hadn't even spawned yet!
What a horrible Singed, though. I fucking pray to lane against Teemo when I queue as him (it hasn't happened yet )
After games and games trying to make Olaf into something he's not (a decent hero, in pub play, at least), it's fun to play a game with a hero who can pub stomp if well fed. It makes me want to try Akali again. I hated her at first, but with a rune build she might be kind of fun. Maw is tomorrow though, so I know it won't happen...

I like the Gangplank buff to Parrley. It's so annoying when you're hero revolves around one move and it misses. Damage reduction isn't that bad.

If you want to play an in house, sometimes waiting a little is necessary, because you cannot accept invites if you are in a game in progress.

On the Beserker Greaves, they are also bad just because Attack Speed is a really easy and cheap stat to get, an the amount they give you isn't much.

Not to mention it's multiplicative and not additive. Besides only 1 item in the game gives cc reduction.
