I'm confused about gw2... Is the cat race the only one you can pick in these beta events? Because that's what I've seen from multiple places. If its not the case I'd concede the point on someone pointing out that it's just a lot people playing them because you dont say no to a race of panthers with gunpowder technology playing on the collective Internet love of steampunk
There's other (boring) player races in those shots.
They're pretty specific with their brand of steampunk, too. All the charr stuff is gunpowder and clockwork. Spinning gears and gadgets, giant deathstar-like structures all up-ins.
They're also the best. Like, you know how popori are the best in Tera, and everyone who rolls one is made more awesome by extension? Or how trolls are the best in WoW, even though the leads have a hard-on for orcs and elves? Same basic principle with charr.
Can't Norn turn into animals? Or is that just certain classes/abilities? At the very least, it makes them viking were(wolves/bears/etc), which is pretty sweet.
Even with the Charr I had some problems with the animations, mainly that they moved way slower than their running animation implied. Balance and all that, but when you're running on all fours and you're barely going beyond a casual trot...
Lucky. I did a hand-in at the Wetlands guy with those Crystals but I didn't get anything neat. I had better luck with those Alpaca Tokens seeing that's where the clothes from this shot from the last page came from.
Yea I saw that. This game is awesome to play dress-up in. You get a new outfit for every class that reaches level X and you freely swap between outfits and dye all of them individually. You can also wear the costume items instead. (I'm wearing the hipster glasses, for example)
Yeah, it's a F2Per but Eden Eternal has some nice scenery and costumes. You also earn a new look for your class at every 10 levels or so. I'm running it on the Medium settings too, so it'll probably look even nicer for those that use High.

I play on Max, it looks pretty, but the stylized graphics make it look OK on medium too imo.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

Yea, it's Gordon Freeman all over again. It's ridiculous listening to NPCs droning on and on about conspiracy theories while your character is just standing there. There's also NPCs who ask you questions and then just keep on talking. It's one of the reasons why I think this game won't turn a profit in its current state. It really seems like they went for SWTOR's approach to quests, but forgot about the most important half of that approach*.

EE's fun though leveling does start slowing in the 30s, requiring the aid of Dailies to get you past the next leveling-checkpoint. Also you can end up broke pretty fast around that level-range too if you're not careful with your spending. It's probably better if you're with a guild rather then running solo like me though. I do wish there was enough people from here playing so we could start a guild even though I think you don't need a certain number of people already lined up to start one like in WoW. And a lot if almost everything from the cash shop can be bought off of players or the AH too, so you don't really need to drop cash into the game like other F2Ps. Plus there's neat stuff to get like this. Pretty sure they beat WoW on having something like it.
Owenashi, PA guilds are usually dead in the water after the initial "oooooh a new toy" week. There are some nice guilds on the servers, I think. Check out the official forums for threads by the bigger guilds and see if you can get an invite and see if it fits the bill. If it sucks, you'll notice soon enough and no one will remember you anyway. By the way: did you know you can turn of that silly depth of field effect? It's in the display options.
Darkewolfe, as far as grindfests go, this is super smooth and cute and - most importantly to me - does not lock you into one class. It's perfectly possible to be a decent healer and DPS on one and the same toon.
I'm playing C9, a beat-em-up-mmo (like Vindictus) and I'll have to just link to images because there's way too much skin showing to pass the SFW-agreement we have after TERA happened.
Anyway, here is my character, a shaman. You get a lot of control over how they look, including skin colour (I'm orc-green) and boob-size, but the general feel of the class remains the same: the warrior is a meaty McMeat, hunter is packed in leather and acrobatic, witchblade is bits of string tied around a porn star wielding a sword and shaman is bits of cloth wrapped around a porn star wielding a staff. Also, women start without wearing pants, later you get some skin-tight pants that hardly cover any skin.

Charr fit me much better
I fail at taking good screenies in this game.
Oh by the by: those are flying gorillas in the background.

I am playing both Agent Characters here.
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
I had no idea what to pick for character selection, as there was no top hat.
*E: this is with all settings on max.
It's a real disappointment given how good the AoC faces were.
*being able to talk back. :x
Yeah I'm watching TV while responding to things. Not a good combination at times. But I think you can figure out what I was getting at
Only on trial so far, but feels good man...
I dunno about you but something about that face reminds me of Cartman's 'disguise' from that Special Olympics episode of South Park.

starter armor with some extra bracelets I looted http://i.imgur.com/MyVrO.jpg
running around town, note that the clothing clips through legs when climbing stairs http://i.imgur.com/RnFtT.jpg
And this what witchblades look from behind and what kind of underwear the female NPCs are wearing http://imgur.com/ALgKX
The actual game isn't bad, but I don't think I can keep this up for long. I'm curious what kind of armor I'll run into later, though. :winky:
