If you need help let me know DMR. Building a system is pretty straightforward. Biggest piece of advice is do it on tile/wood/concrete (no carpeting or rugs) and make sure to ground everything (including yourself) by tapping the case before touching each component.

In the absence of that, ways in which you can reduce static accumulation:
- Avoid wearing synthetic fabrics.
- Work on a grounding mat, if not then on wood, if not then on tile.
- Keep any components not being immediately handled in their anti-static bags.
- Hold onto the bags in case you need to put down a component for a moment.
- Ground yourself by making contact with the metal of the case. Maintain that contact when you grab a component, then it's safer to let go once the component is in your hand.
You're probably going to laugh when seeing this, but take a look at it anyways.

I might be able to make a trip to the local radio shack and get a strip. It'll be easier if I can build this on my gigantic living-room table anyway (which is over carpet, unfortunately).
Well, I hauled my ass down to where I thought the local Radio Shack was. Turns out it was inside a mall about half a kilometer away from there. As a bonus, that particular store didn't carry anti-static bands (in fact the employees didn't even know what the hell that was).
Looks like I'll be doing this build with one hand firmly gripping the case. Everything should be here on Wednesday, so in three more days I'll see you guys on Bnet.
Edit: Oh, and here's what Google believes is another local Radio Shack: Radio Shack. Yep, that's a Best Western. Good one, Google.

Honestly DMR, if you are moderately careful you'll be fine. Electronics today are not what they were ten years ago, and are fairly durable. Don't do anything stupid like plugging it in before it's 100% assembled, or touching anything with a screwdriver before grounding it and you'll be fine. Plus if you are ordering from an online vendor like Newegg, most have DOA RMA's that would cover any catastrophic mess you cause.

I cannot join in on this yet because I have the Southeast Asian/Australian version of the game, and we won't have access to the North American servers for another month or so
All right, I'm back from work, so I'll post my info again.

My early game is solid and my midgame is strong, but my macro tends to slip a bit once it gets to lategame. I try to end matches relatively early with a decisive push or counterattack. My micro is a lot better than my macro is, but I'm still working on transitioning from SC1 to WC3 to SC2, so I hope I can improve my macro as I keep playing.
Update just in case divisions matter: I am now in Diamond.
EDIT: I've been giving out the wrong code this whole time... ><
Small request. If you have posted information twice (got something wrong, just now adding in ID, race, etc) can you go back and either delete or edit out the old post. It will make going through the thread that much easier.

I really could use a lot of improvement to my skills, so hopefully this will drive me to do so. My work schedule is a little volatile, but as long as everyone is willing to work with each other I'm so all up in this.

So, wait. Were all signups from before launch discounted and I forgot to sign up again?
As was mentioned back in beta: those were just to gage interest and did not count as actual registrations
Registrations are now closed! We still need Captains!

8 Captains means we need 4 more!
What responsibilities come with the title of captain?
Captains will play through a tournament to determine draft order. Then, they pick 5 other players from the pool of 72 (minus the other captains) who will make up their team. After that the captains main responsibility is to rank their players 1-5 to determine who they will play on the other opponents team. Captains can also set up practices and team meetings and everything but that is not strictly necessary nor something only the captain can do.

I recommend something like this:

Static can cause damage that doesn't show up for up to a year after the fact.

you know it
my team will have to take a whiskey/rum shot for every worker lost, including scout
I plan to say "make it so" at least twice per conversation with anyone in my team.
