That it is. I also feel like this game gets a little too easy after you upgrade to a certain point (around 60 in any given stat). I plowed through the hardest difficulty with zero problems with Stills, maybe dying once in the last area. It's a little stupid how tough you get.
i really dig the game, so much so that i'd love to see DLC at some point, but what in the heck would you even do?
At a guess, other than the 6th character, the main suggestions would be to add the two modes they had cut out, and adding online play, although the latter would be more of a patch than anything. Other than that... probably more playable characters. It's not as if Ramona has any more evil exes...
Well, unless maybe her other ex Doug turns evil. After all, he was kind of a dick.
Of course, if they're gonna do that, they may as well just make a Street Fighter clone and be done with it.

I don't really need much of a story for this one. More levels for some inexplicable reason would be cool in my book (hell, loose robots or something would be fine).

I'd love to see a $5 DLC pack with some extra levels, and a Wii/DSi/PSP release for $15 as a "Director's Cut" with the new content rolled in.

I'm still on my first playthrough, had a kind of busy weekend, but I beat Todd last night and I'm having a blast.

I just want to be able to play the damn thing wherever I'm at and I'd love to have it on my PSP Go.
Fuck if they added a remote play option I'd go out and buy a PS3 tomorrow just for that reason.
Edit: And if it was on the Wii I know of at least 3 people I'd gift it to off the top of my head.
I'd like a patch where you take less than four seconds to get back on your feet.
The game would be tremendously better were it not for this one irritating flaw.
I have more of a problem with the hit detection, and the way enemies move and attack. I don't have a problem with harsh penalties from getting hit as long as a game gives you a fair chance to avoid it, but it doesn't always do that. Your attacks have such a small area of influence, so you can be standing what seems like one pixel above an enemy and miss because of it, or you can be trying to do a context-sensitive action (picking up an item, or attacks where you have to be close to an enemy) and fail because you weren't standing in exactly the right spot.
And then there's the way enemies so often run in from outside the screen and attack before you could possibly react to it, and in general don't really telegraph their moves enough for you to avoid them effectively. And then you get caught in an inescapable loop if two enemies hitting you back and forth until you die, due to the extra-long stun time.
I don't think the game is particularly hard in general. It's certainly not too hard. And I wouldn't bother to complain about these things if I didn't really like the game, it's just frustrating in games like this when you mess something up or get hit and it's not your fault. This game just really needed (or needs) some extra time in testing for stuff like this.

I wonder if the game would benefit from assigning a different command to pick up objects. I've had my share of frustration punching a dude only to pause and pick up a rock and get socked in the jaw for my efforts.
How would you motivate whoever to do DLC for a 10 dollar game? I mean really.
The NinjaBee folks put out 3 separate DLC packs for Band of Bugs whose base game sold for $10. I don't know how well they all sold, but the first (or first 2 - I seem to remember their dev times overlapped) did well enough to warrant at least one more.

So, I looked at the guy who did the art fot the game's visublog. It's full of guro nonsense. I hate the internet. He's pretty talented though.
Man, Wallace's shop really is a gamebreaker. I just brought one thing from there, saw that I wound up having 74 Def. and WP, and decided on not making any more purchases from there. I'll take my sweet time building up my skill points, thankyouverymuch.
With a level 16 Kim and only Stage 7 to go it's amazing how much different the game plays with a fully leveled character. I love the amount of useful, crazy stuff you can do; it brings back all the good memories of breaking River City Ransom with the best skill books like Acro Circus and the one where you flail away with weapons rapidly with just a button press. Character level and stats carries over between difficulty settings, right? If so, Normal and Hard are going to be a blast - not a breeze, mind you, but a really fun skill test.
So, I stopped being a little bitch and got decent at this game. Scott's ending kind of made me lol. Wokring on leveling Kim up now, her Knives assist is the best.
You guys wern't kidding about long credits, I read like.... half of book 5 during the credits.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

It's common knowledge that the guy is nuts, yeah.
Just as long as he doesn't decide pixel art is too limiting and needs some real life inspiration.
Beat the game last night in co-op. Took a couple of tries cause the last boss decided to knock my friend out and then knock me off a cliff where everytime I respawned I would get punched again instantly off the cliff again.
trying to get the invulnerable achievement is very hard. there's apparently a workaround with two controllers that can let you double your money and then max out those stats easily for the achievement, but i haven't worked out how to get the 'same character' code to work. i enter it and hear the confirm noise, but then when i select two scotts the second one does not have the same skills like it should.

For money duplication, it's easiest to just use two different characters.
Just alternate, and you'll keep doubling your money.
Say you amass like $50 on Kim. Start a game as Scott, and have 2P be a guest, and Kim. Have her lend all her money to Scott. Exit the stage so it saves, then exit to the menu. Since guests aren't saved, now Scott has $50 and Kim has $50. Just keep repeating, with the higher-money character as 2P every time, until you have as much money as you could ever want.
I recommend beating the game once before using this exploit, but honestly after beating it once for real, I was perfectly happy to stomp straight through the game with the other characters.
Yeah. The invulnerable achievement is incredibly easy to pull off once you know the trick. And the trick also applies to beating the game on supreme master, just start each stage, then skip to the boss. I didn't even play most of stage 7 and I got it.
You can bail out of the credits with Guide Button/To Dashboard and still get your last character unlocked. I did this with Ramona, but sat through credits with Kim, and beating it with Stills, the unlock happened before the credits even rolled!
Man, how can there not be vegan shepherd's pie in this game. The book devotes like 2 pages to giving a recipe.
Because making a vegan sheperd's pie is impossible. A sheperd's pie without lamb is not a sheperd's pie, any more than a cottage pie without beef is a cottage pie or a fish pie without fish is a fish pie. A vegan sheperd's pie would be a vegetable pie.

I demand accuracy in my pie terminology!

chicken isn't vegan?
so do Scott's late fees reset after you leave the shopping district or something?

I wouldn't mind grinding with Scott if it means the fees are gone for the other characters...

Someone raised the possibility that DLC would come free with the DVD, which would mean that dudes with the game may buy the DVD and vice versa.

'Course, that only works with two players.
LONG CREDITS ARE LONG
My XBox went into power save mode half-way through.
What's worse is sitting through it 4 times to get Nega Scott.
