I caved and got this. So far not terrible, but I'm in the camp with some of you that all it does is make me want a revamped River City Ransom even more.
So after reading the books and playing the game, I think Kim may be my favorite Scott Pilgrim character. Kinda wish Scott got with her instead of Ramona.
Pfff. Pedo.
Um, Kim is around Scott's age, which puts in her in early 20s.
I thought you said Knives. Gaaah.
You know, I'm pretty sure the age of consent in Canada is lower than it is in America. Knives being 17 wouldn't really be a big deal if she wasn't such a dweeby teen about it.
Casual sex, etc. etc.
I also liked Lisa Miller, though I might just be projecting my own desires, what with the whole "frustrated woman digs the unattainable man" fantasy.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Scott should be meeting women his age and making out and having casual sex like a MAN, but he is one regressed human being in the beginning of the story. "Tee hee we almost held hands once."

Pretty sure he wasn't being serious there, more of a comment on how simple and basic the relationship is due to Knives lack of experience. :P
Got the Scott Pilgrim game and boy is it a buggy fucking mess. No wonder they didn't put online it. It probably wouldn't have fucking worked.
Game stutters. Very slow response sometimes to menus. Press Y on the map menu and it takes 5 - 10 seconds for the Status menu to come up.
Oh, and that last boss? Cheap as fucking shit. You basically have two platforms to stand on while he does this punch that sends you flying off the platform. When the game respawns you, guess what happens? Punch. Off the platform you go.
***Though I've been informed that the punch is blockable and that he's not the final boss.

Also jack your stats way up and you can fly through it.
Didn't really have a problem with the 360. Just once I fell into a pit but didn't die/respawn so I just sat there. So i just went ahead and went back to the map and redid it.
This is the 360 version. It's locked up on me four times. The last time at the end of the Twins it just locked up when I got that achievement.
Also there is apparently a bug in the Ninja level where the game won't spawn enemies correctly and it won't move you forward. Gotten that one twice.
Suspicious wording is suspicious indeed.
:P
Strange that you would encounter so many of these bugs. Must be the 360 version I guess. I have it on PS3 and the game has only frozen on me at the map screen once.
It's almost like bugs are unpredictable and occur where and to whom they damn well please.
Seriously guys the fact that there are bugs in a game you like is not an assault on your e-honor, you don't need to defend it. It means the game is poorly coded. You enjoyed it, bug free. I enjoyed it, bug free. That's great for you and me. There are however significant quantities of people who did not.

That means the game is poorly put together.
There are times when a developer has a patch and the publisher refuses to drop the money to make it available.
I lost the fight with Mr.Chau the first time - didn't know what his icon on the map was and fought him with hardly any health. Does he ever reappear? If so, how do I get him to do that?
Mrs. Chau to appear? ive beaten Mr.Chau as Scott, but he hasnt shown up for anyone else
Keep using strikers with that character. If you unlocked Mr. Chau as Scott, just keep using him; Mrs. Chau has a random chance of appearing in his place. You only need to get her to appear with one character for the trophy.
To get Mr. Chau to appear on the map, you have to play a stage from start to finish. He appears by random chance, and it's not a very high chance, at that.
I'm not sure if the glitch where you can start a stage, then exit to map, then re-enter from a later checkpoint in the level, and have it count as doing the whole level would apply here. (I'm talking about the glitch that leads to the easy way to the invulnerable trophy)
This soundtrack is responsible for me going old school all month with Super Mario, Super Metroid, Castlevania and of course Scott Pilgrim...
My ears are so happy.
Strangely, I'd say Roxie is probably my hardest-to-beat boss; possibly more so than Gigadeon without the Power Of Love (since I now know when to block for him).

But I don't want to bring on the wrath of the mods, so how bout that game, huh?

He's wearing the beanie and everything.
This was like the first thing I noticed during that stage

Listen, I can't tell without the accent, guy!

I don't remember having problems with any cartridge based Turtle game outside of slow down.
So yeah. :P

What a dick!
But bugs are bugs are bugs.
Then I went into a store and came out during the third level, it froze on me.
Level three so far loves to freeze on me. That's what happens when the band is names after such an awesome NES game.

Was Scott Pilgrim simply too awesome for my 360 to handle?

Shame it wasn't freezing on the first boss; then the band name would be rather apt.
I beat it already and now I'm just saying screw it, that's ridiculous.
Because I've done that
Twice
The 1-Up item in Wallace's secret shop in the first level counts as a food item.
The first two items in his shop do, actually
I've eaten everything
Twice

Darn. I'll just have to put Another Winter on repeat.
Forever.

its too bad you only hear about 15 seconds of it unmuffled in game though

to be honest though, all but like 2 of the songs put a big stupid grin on my face
