I caved and got this. So far not terrible, but I'm in the camp with some of you that all it does is make me want a revamped River City Ransom even more.

So after reading the books and playing the game, I think Kim may be my favorite Scott Pilgrim character. Kinda wish Scott got with her instead of Ramona.

    Pfff. Pedo.

Um, Kim is around Scott's age, which puts in her in early 20s.

I thought you said Knives. Gaaah.

You know, I'm pretty sure the age of consent in Canada is lower than it is in America. Knives being 17 wouldn't really be a big deal if she wasn't such a dweeby teen about it.

    Casual sex, etc. etc.

I also liked Lisa Miller, though I might just be projecting my own desires, what with the whole "frustrated woman digs the unattainable man" fantasy.

Well, to be fair, it's a direct response to his last relationship ending horribly. Hence all the stuff about liking Knives cause it's easy and simple.

But I don't want to bring on the wrath of the mods, so how bout that game, huh?

By the way, watching the i-trailer on the SP website makes it apparent that the director of Lucas Lee's movie in the game is, in fact, Edgar Wright.

He's wearing the beanie and everything.

Pretty sure he wasn't being serious there, more of a comment on how simple and basic the relationship is due to Knives lack of experience. :P

Got the Scott Pilgrim game and boy is it a buggy fucking mess. No wonder they didn't put online it. It probably wouldn't have fucking worked.

Game stutters. Very slow response sometimes to menus. Press Y on the map menu and it takes 5 - 10 seconds for the Status menu to come up.

Oh, and that last boss? Cheap as fucking shit. You basically have two platforms to stand on while he does this punch that sends you flying off the platform. When the game respawns you, guess what happens? Punch. Off the platform you go.

***Though I've been informed that the punch is blockable and that he's not the final boss.

This is the 360 version. It's locked up on me four times. The last time at the end of the Twins it just locked up when I got that achievement.

Also there is apparently a bug in the Ninja level where the game won't spawn enemies correctly and it won't move you forward. Gotten that one twice.

Didn't really have a problem with the 360. Just once I fell into a pit but didn't die/respawn so I just sat there. So i just went ahead and went back to the map and redid it.

    Also long credits are long!

    Suspicious wording is suspicious indeed.

Strange that you would encounter so many of these bugs. Must be the 360 version I guess. I have it on PS3 and the game has only frozen on me at the map screen once.

It's almost like bugs are unpredictable and occur where and to whom they damn well please.

Seriously guys the fact that there are bugs in a game you like is not an assault on your e-honor, you don't need to defend it. It means the game is poorly coded. You enjoyed it, bug free. I enjoyed it, bug free. That's great for you and me. There are however significant quantities of people who did not.

That means the game is poorly put together.

There are times when a developer has a patch and the publisher refuses to drop the money to make it available.

Speaking of bugs...my game was going fine for the first couple levels.

Then I went into a store and came out during the third level, it froze on me.

Level three so far loves to freeze on me. That's what happens when the band is names after such an awesome NES game. :(

Keep using strikers with that character. If you unlocked Mr. Chau as Scott, just keep using him; Mrs. Chau has a random chance of appearing in his place. You only need to get her to appear with one character for the trophy.

To get Mr. Chau to appear on the map, you have to play a stage from start to finish. He appears by random chance, and it's not a very high chance, at that.

I'm not sure if the glitch where you can start a stage, then exit to map, then re-enter from a later checkpoint in the level, and have it count as doing the whole level would apply here. (I'm talking about the glitch that leads to the easy way to the invulnerable trophy)
