Information about the Enigma Stone event
Here are your new Legends!
Here are some other new Pokemonand here are even more new Pokemon plus info about the gamesWhat you need to start battling:
-
First of all, finish the main game first. Trying to understand and manipulate EVs and IVs before that will be a pain.
- Once you've beaten the Elite Four, the real "fun" begins. First, give
Individual Values or IVs a read. You will also want to know everything about
breeding and
Effort Values or Evs.
Natures Natures should also be read.
- Now that you know some things about EVs, you can either grind at the Battle Tower for the points needed to buy the
Power Items or borrow them from someone who is used to play here at G&T. These items will make EV training much easier.
- If you aren't sure what to do with your Pokés, check out
Smogon for some tips that will help you choose an appropriate EV spread and moveset for your Mons.
- Check out Psypoke's
EV training spots.
- You might want to check
Chen's list of what you should consider adding to your team
- Pokémon battles through Wi-fi automatically level your Pokémon to either levels 50 or 100. So you don't have to train them to level 100 yourself, saving a lot of time. In fact, it will be better if you don't level them up all the way to 100 since at that stage you won't be able to edit your Pokés' EVs.
- But most importantly: Have fun! It doesn't matter if you win or lose. You must have learned something from experience, and if your newest creation wasn't as good as thought it'd be and you want to keep it boxed, don't feel discouraged. We all have trained some Pokémon that we'll never use again because it sounded better on paper than it performed in practice.

Click here for a list of Legendaries.Sleep Clause: You cannot put two of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep at the same time. (Rest not applicable)

The G&T Pokémon LeagueStandard Gym Rules
Each Gym Leader is bound to a certain type. A minimum of four Pokémon must adhere to that type. A Gym Leader may summon two species of a different type if he or she desires. However they must abide by having a move of the gym's type. For all intents and purposes, Hidden Power is of the Normal type.
A Gym Challenger may choose any six Pokémon he or she wishes for challenging any Gym Leader so long as your team adheres to the General Battling Rules listed above and any of the Optional Rules listed below if the Gym Leader has requested them.
Gym Leaders may also remove any Standard Rules if they wish to.
Optional Gym RulesItem Clause: All items are limited to one per team.
<Insert Move> Clause: The use of <insert move> is forbidden.
Double Battle: 2vs2 battles are initiated.
Gym Activity
A Gym Leader may lose his or her status through inactivity. If a Gym Leader does not respond to your challenge by PM, please notify us by posting in this thread.
You may challenge an active Gym Leader and take over his or her gym by defeating him or her and abiding to the Gym Leader Rules. To clarify, you are limited to four Pokémon of that particular gym's type and two Pokémon of a different type that must carry a move of the gym's type.

I'm usually up for a battle, an IV battle (I'm often running breeding projects), or a trade.
Battle
My terms: Declare yours first. I personally prefer singles, species clause, and otherwise standard OU or even Ubers battle. I understand there's a common houserule against legendaries, and if you're a stickler for that I'll probably go with it. Given how wacky double battles can get, I'd rather not play since I haven't prepared a team specifically for doubles.
Breeding
Current "leftovers": Jolly 31 Speed Nincada, Adamant Poison Heal 31 Speed Shroomish
What I can do: Spore/False Swipe Shroomish, Dragon Dance Charmander, DD Larvitar, DD Totodile, EQ/Outrage Gible, Stone Edge/Close Combat/Mach Punch Machop
Addendum: Given how often I will be breeding and trading, I might be able to contribute additional specialty mons. PM me if you want me to triple-check my stuff.
GT: HitoriLionheart or dailydro
Then sometimes I also like to give those things I breed away
It's very rare though, I'm a very cheap bastard
Don't mind him, he's a terrible liar.
Also, I have your waiting list, Rent:
GT: HitoriLionheart or dailydro
here's the IVs of things
So pureauthor you got 12 and notsoy you got 4, rest are free for grabbing
Gears!
I want the zebra one so bad.
Metal...Gears?!
Oh also btw every Squirtle'll be holding the Protect TM in case you wanna make a more defense-oriented Blastoise (my suggestion would be to sub out Ice Beam/Rapid Spin for it if you're going that route)
Platinum FC: 2880 3245 5111
I'm gonna be going to sleep soon but wanna get these out of the way first
And I would suggest you keep Ice Beam folks, I was the one who gave Rent that TM and I'd like to know my contribution is spread alongside Rent's generosity
Actually, I'm just kidding. Ice Beam would be the easiest move to replace, since Toxic needs 32 BP and Heart Scales are a bit more difficult to acquire than Ice Beam TMs (unless you're terrible at Voltorb Flip).

It is SOOOOO KEWT

I'm psyched for them already.
Every time I try to get into the game, I realize I can do better things with my time.
And I really think the game could benefit from both a gameplay and flavor standpoint if they added a Training Hall where Pokemon could train with each other, and even tutor each other in various moves that they are capable of learning through other means.
This would definitely save a lot of headaches over item grinding, and might even be a place to add a lot of unique things, such as the ability to EV train level 100 Pokemon (who normally would not be able to obtain EVs, since they can't obtain experience from battles), a variety of quick, fun minigames, or maybe even the ability to teach certain mons certain moves specifically via this feature.
For example, say that under this new feature, Groudon is eligible to learn Close Combat. You pair him up with, say, an Infernape, and a minigame begins which you must complete with both Infernape (who must demonstrate the move correctly) and Groudon (who must mimic the move successfully). As I think the Pokeathlon demonstrated, it's easy to add a simple set of minigames that is a massive boon to the hardcore crowd.
Of course, certain moves would logically be more difficult to teach than others. Teaching Charmander Flamethrower, for example, could be relatively simple, a 2-3 on a scale of 10. Teaching Skuntank or Tyranitar Flamethrower might be a 5-6. Teaching Metagross Explosion would be a 9 or 10 on that same scale, since it could very easily turn into a disaster. There's a lot of room for flavor here - for example, with moves like Explosion, you only have one shot to demonstrate and mimic the move correctly (which ideally wouldn't be an easy task), or the mon(s) who screwed up will faint, require a trip to the Pokemon Center, and would not be eligible to return to the Training Hall for the rest of that day.

Any chance I could trade the Squirtle I got for #9?
GT: HitoriLionheart or dailydro
I don't know, even when I was doing pretty well in voltorb, it still took me like a whole day to get the 10k points, whereas I can usually whip through battle tower to the 3rd set in like an hour and a half or so. And now that there's nothing I particularly need, I'm swimming in heart scales from the pokewalker.
I also have like 10 of TM91 trying to get some repeat balls from the goldenrod raffle, if any one wants some...tomorrow
sadly it's another psychic pig
and grumpig shall forever be its superior
I really like the crocodile though. He's awesome
Pignite and Darkroc fo lyfe
Who's battling? I could battle.
Rent, you have bred and trained so much. You should battle!
3DS FCode: 1993-7512-8991
Arikado wants #9, sorry. I'll let you tradeback for a different one though
Unless...Arikado do you want #4?
I'm very nearly done with 6 pokemon for a team! All I need now is a porygon2 and another pokemon to be determined because Garchomp is now Uber because Smogon is DUMB
Edit: By the way, the next breeding project is a Porygon2 with Trick Room/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Recover and 1 SPD, so if anyone wants a 1 SPD Porygon with Trick Room/BoltBeam let me know
If I knew a Garchomp was on the cards, it wouldn't be so bad. See, when I fought, uh... Delphinidaes? His Garchomp took me by surprise. Still killed it with my Butterfree, though.
3DS FCode: 1993-7512-8991
shouldn't you be aiming for 0 speed? or am i missing something
I don't have a 0 speed porygon
Also the porygon is great breeding stock besides (look: )
Porygon: Relaxed
HP: 29
Atk: 28
Def: 0
SP Atk: 23
SP Def: 31
SPD: 1
I dunno maybe I will
Literally boxes worth of eggs were bred...
Hopefully it'll have good enough stats to make it a good breeding partner for my all 31s
It still is, but you're after Mechanical and Arikado (although Arikado's already claimed basically), so it really depends on what Mechanical chooses
notsoy, I'll take your nincada if you're trying to get rid of it. And no, I will not farm you a game corner TM right now, unless you want the Substitute I already have.
Sounds good to me. I'll look over the list a second time if he takes that one first.
I'll be taking on the E4 so I'll be unable to trade for a little while.
Get in the damn ball before I run out of spore pp.
