    Hidden Power is different for every pokemon, determined by their IV's.

    IVs are what determine the Hidden Power's type and Damage.

    Also I realized my team doesn't have a decent Special Sweeper. I think I'll train up a Gengar for that.

    Boo! And there's no way to know for sure on Shed, because it won't show an HP IV will it?

    You could always just spam attacks on various Pokes to narrow the typing, and then see how damaging it is for a rough gauge.

    I think I'll train it and then test it out later using Psypoke's calculator. Basically it's just trial and error against specific types to narrow down what it is, but I don't have to figure anything out on my own.

    Actually if you use Metalkid's calculator after you figure out the type you may be able to determine you HP IV in the process and get a damage rate.

    Why would you even put Hidden Power on Shed? It has a terrible Spec Atk IV

    I don't know! I asked for any suggestions on what to put on it and nobody said anything, so I'm here trying to figure it out on my own. And if I get a dragon type attack, I can faceroll the dragon gym with it, which would be fun.

    Put Swords Dance + a Physical Move on Shed, (X-Scissor or Sucker Punch work)

    (ed: in addition you're going to want to ev train shedinja if you're gonna use it because even its atk iv sucks bad)

    Shedinja can be used to annoy but doesn't have the stats to be as effective with attacks. I dunno, I'd breed Bug Bite on him just to remove any berries opponents are holding.

    EDIT: Rent, I think you're thinking about Ninjask.

    Yes, it keeps the moves from Nincada stage so it should.

    EDIT: It doesn't learn what Ninjask does because the evolution split is from Nincada. Or maybe I'm wrong...

    Huh? Breed Dragonite with Tyranitar. They're both monster group. Worst case you can do it with a totodile as the middle step.

    Im kinda stuck with this Gible I got, He knows Dragon Rage, Dragon Claw, Sandstorm and Earthquake...now he wants to learn Sand Tomb, seems like all 5 moves are worthwhile, any suggestions would be helpful....

    I need Pickup Pokemon at a minimum of lvl 71 to start getting Heart Scales. That's just not fair.

    His 4th move was Tackle, that what I deleted for Dragon Rage, but Okay, ill get rid of Dragon Rage, I noticed it always takes off 40 hps...which means no scaling..no scaling is bad I imagine...thanks guys.

    Oh and as far as where I am in the game...Just made it to the lake of rage...

    Pickup is an ability on certain pokemon that lets them find shit after battles

    It's based on level of the pokemon what you get

    You're at about 7700 character(if you include spaces), the limit is 35000. You have plenty of room.

    You can get them from the pokewalker path Beautiful Beach after only 2000 steps.

    Sorry to hear you're not able to trade, Pureauthor. I was going to say I already have a decent DDTar and could've given you an egg. Course I also had it somewhat easier breeding one up, as I'd already had a Dragon Dance Totodile given to me in a trade.

    And you want self torment, try breeding for Hidden Power without the help of those seed finding calculators. NEVER AGAIN.

    I was tempted to try and do some RNG breeding.

    Then I found out I have to catch a non-chained shiny to get my SID. In Pearl. Ugh.

    If you know someone with an AR I'm pretty sure they can find out your SID if you trade them any pokémon.
