You can take one look at their little Boy Scout outfits and conclude that their have been plenty of homosexual boy scouts in the past, and they must have been in charge at some point.

I think what bothers me is that they are openly equating homosexuality with pedophiles/sexual predators. They aren't allowing gays in the boy scouts because of the hole "ranger Bob diddling young boys" thing, and A =/= B.

Nothing overly fancy, nice quiet place to eat good food.

    Here's the catch.

No one under 25, no exceptions. No parties larger than 6. No substitutions. No special orders. No walk-ins.

That doesn't mean it isn't discrimination though. I think they can hire whoever they want really, but that doesn't make it not discriminatory on their part.

wouldn't a soup communist be if you made people bring all their soup from home and then doled the soup back out according to how hungry each person was

No, the soup maker makes the soup. The carpenter makes things out of wood. The electrician handles power. You don't ask the soup maker to make the cabinets holding his ingredients now do you?

EDIT: The Karen Carpenter wouldn't eat anything though

I really don't have any interest in opening a restaurant, but occasionally I do try to think of a way to run a restaurant that allowed for a lot of flexibility

a trader joe's-like rotating list of ingredients, a menu that's more daily specials than stock favorites, the customer says what they would like and it's the chef's responsibility to jazz it up and make it delicious.

those were always my favorite sorts of things in cooking school

it's a total pipe dream because obviously it would be impossible to account for allergies and taste, food preparation would be a nightmare, obtaining different ingredients would be an impossible hassle, people like being able to count upon old favorites when they go to a restaurant, etc.

    nonetheless it's a fantasy
