Game Boy Adavnce Game

There's a game boy advance game I'm trying to remember. It was a top down shooter but with very metroidian undertones. I could have sworn it was named Scourge, but that doesn't appear to be it.

    Was it Scurge: The Hive?
    spelled differently, i.e. "scourge" might not come up if you hit google? Or did you see that already and exclude it?

    Yeah, first thing I thought of was Scurge: The Hive. It was also released on DS. It's not exactly from a top-down perspective, though. More like isometric.
