    They're soldiers, not clones.

The guy without the helmet looks exactly like Jango Fett.

This video makes it pretty clear that the game takes place in the early days of the Empire. So, after the prequels.

That doesn't make any sense because The Old Republic takes place 3,500 years before the films. The Empire refers to the recently emerged Sith Empire during a time when the Sith were more numerous and active.

I guess the uniforms and the likeness to Fett are coincidence or maybe clones have been done before. The GT trailer description is similarly confused, calling them clones as well.

There's already a rule for this, that's being enforced. I've seen people get infracted for being a cliquey asshole. What your rule does is make it so if someone does report something terrible and I call them out on it being terrible (and simultaneous voting it terrible) I can be infracted for the reply. Because I voiced my opinion with words and not just a star click. So then what's the point of having a reply function? Talk with Tube and Alpha and have it removed. If we can't use our words to express our opinion, don't give us the ability to.

Make no mistake. For a while i am going to throw cards on anything negative posted in that forum. It's gotten out of hand and is stifling the intended spirit of that forum. Do you think that Ramius set it up so that people would have an additional opportunity to pick on or belittle each other around here?

Yes, expressing your (negative) onion with words and not a star click will get you infracted. Now that you have cracked how thew system works, you can adjust your behavior appropriately.

What is even the point of that?

If you don't think it's awesome then just downvote it and move on.

We don't really need a class of regular critics in that forum. That is not the point of that forum. And the people who considered themselves as such were becoming problematic.

I never got that. I mean I could let the prequels having arguably better technology slide, but KOTOR was 3000 years in the past and they already had battle droids and hyperspeed drives and blasters and light sabers. What exactly did they do for the next 300 years?

"Boring" is only one aspect of the books. In every other way, they are well-written. And not everyone finds them boring.

And I think the value of the Tolkien estate begs to differ with you on whether or not he was an author or solely a linguist. He was both, but the estate is worth what it is worth thanks to his exploits as an author.

You'll have to explain why you believe Tolkien is a bad writer. He was a very competent writer that constructed an interesting world. Despite the fact that the books have large swaths of nothing more than walking through forests and eating mud, which I personally find a bit dry, I would never say the books weren't well written. They just have parts I don't care for so much.

A good writer writes well and has an interesting story with appropriate pacing and tension.

Tolkien succeeds at "writing well" and possibly "interesting story" but fails the latter, probably more vital components of writing.
