Sony's presser is going to be mostly Move. Why wouldn't it be? It's their big thing this year, like Kinect is Microsoft's big thing. Why wouldn't it dominate their conference?
Here's hoping they also make a few detours into crazy-town.
And I'm glad everyone liked the Nintendo conference, but I was underwhelmed. I'm not a big hand-held gamer, so the 3DS doesn't mean much to me. It looks cool and I know there are people very excited about it. I'm not trying piss on anyone's parade, but it's not for me. The new Zelda is really the only thing that piqued my interest.
I don't think I'll look at the live blog of the Sony event. I'm expecting something more on par with the Microsoft event except with a possibility of PSP2.
If there is a PSP2, it needs to be able to compete with the 3DS which is already proving to be a tough customer. Nevermind that Nintendo's had pretty much the monopoly on handheld gaming for the last 5 years. Now with the iPhone/iPad, it better look swank and have some high tech in it's case, and I just don't see that happening. Not for less than $300 anyway...

To win, the PSP2 would need to compete with iPad and 3DS and PSP. Effectively being all those things in one.
So...
Some kind of BIG screen, maybe even folding out somehow
3D capable without glasses
Touch screen
Free wireless 3G connection
Proper controls too.
LONG battery life
The PSP2 alone would need a truly epic hardward spec, almost requiring Sony to have screwed over other devices just to maintain secrecy about it.

If Sony tries to tackle having the PSP2 as well as Move, their hands are going to be full. Sony and MS have to throw support on their motion control shit, which Nintendo is already secured in.
They'd be crazy to unveil the PSP2 now. Let it rest for a time. Make it something worthwhile, don't just jump out to compete.

I hope not. it would be like
"oh you remember that thing nintendo did a few years ago and microsoft just displayed for like an hour? here's some more."

It's like your reading my Twitter
It's where I got the idea, and it makes a whole hell of a lot of sense.
But I'm a little torn because I want there to be a PSP2 asap, so that the damn price of the PSP can drop already.

Well, get ready for something just like that. Have you seen the pictures of all the Move advertisements they've plastered all over the convention center with the "this changes every[t]hing" tagline? I don't think they are just going to give a cursory glance at Move after such a buildup.
So, for those of us who missed it, how did Nin's conference go? I've read some stuff about the 3DS, and it looks rawkawesome, but how about the rest of the conference?
So what are the odds of seeing 'Move Fitness' or something.
I'd say 100%. We'll see some kind of move sports game at the very least.
The best hope for move is that they bust out a swordfighting game which works perfectly and looks astoundingly good as well at the start of their conference. They need to come out the gate saying 'Better in every way than Wii now'

Also: 13 minutes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
It was an avalanche of awesome. It started with Zelda.

and zelda was the worst part
(this also perhaps hints at the fact the conference was truly fantastic because you'd assume the zelda part went well. it didn't)

More like a train wreck in motion, except the train somehow put itself back together, and then hit the tracks at full speed.

The tech difficulties from the Zelda gameplay demoing had everything to do with people having their WiFi shit on in the conference. People on the floor getting hands on with it have reported it controls great.

So, it started bad, but got better, or it started bad and stayed bad, or....
Okay, on a rank of Ubisofts, where 1 Ubi is awesome and 10 Ubi's is horribly bad, how many Ubi's was it?

2. If not a 1.
People are saying it started bad because the live demo of Zelda was plagued by WIFI interference.

Makes me wonder if the Move will also have tech issues, or if the wifi signals simply won't be a-flyin' cause it's all "LOLMove, seen it before a few months ago".

With their "10 year lifespan" stance? Or with the PS3 finally starting to make a name for itself? Unlikely. PSP2, however. . .
No way - Sony would go bankrupt if they tried to do that right now.
Texas air done made you crazy boy.
3D glasses, Move, with PS3 getting the slim earlier this year, it basically is the PS4.
That's what they'll say.

I'm just trying to fuck with people's heads! I'm still sane, don't worry.
I thought this was actually going to happen with the buildup for Zelda when he was talking about controlling your sword and shield.
