    Because I just took a year off, I'm not going to be graduating with my friends

    This sucks

    on the other hand, at least six or seven different friends of mine are going to move to the city after graduation

    so at the very least it's pretty goddamn great that once I graduate I'll be able to move in with one/some of them after they've already been living there for a year

    drastically reduces the chances of one of them going broke and moving out two months into the lease, etc. (although doesn't completely eliminate the possibility!)
