[Nintendo E3 Keynote 2010] - Sorry guys you can't logically discuss the 3DS here
Yeah, even though my Wii hasn't seen that much love beyond SMG2 and MHTri this year (then again I did sink a LOT of time into both) compared to my PS3, I'm way more excited for the stuff coming from Nintendo. I can't wait to get my hands on a N3DS.
I have Ocarina of Time on N64 twice (I lost my original box, and I wanted to get another one. Buying it again was the only choice), I have the American and Japanese versions of Master Quest and the Collectors Edition disc. I'm still buying the remake because I'm a Zelda whore, not because of the 3D aspect of the game.

I had to be honest.
You know.. if they had released a Wind Waker remake on the 3ds... i would have cried. Tears of joy.
Im not kidding. I would cry. A lot. Getting OOT... that almost made me cry. Almost.
The only thing im not too happy about is how physically involved the new Zelda on Wii looks.
Before one of you starts accusing me of being lazy or shit, you can back that shit up, I have problems with my arms. My fine motor control is good, but im really bad at broad movements with my arms cause of neuropathy and nerve damage.
Thats the one market that seemed to get screwed hardest this E3... the disabled.

not Nintendo but honestly the Kinect could do amazing things for disabled gamers. Wii/Move? Not so much.

There are few Wii games which actually require broad movements. We'll have to see if it responds to flicks as well as strokes.

Yea.. flicks seems like a good thing to me. I did fine with Twilight Princess since most of that was little flicks and stuff. I had some trouble with more complicated games lime Metroid Prime 3, but that was just a little more involved.
But a lot of this full body motion stuff bothers me. I primarily play PC games and stuff because im not the most mobile individual ( i have a really bad ankle too... deformity at birth and a lot of complicated breaks that leave me wearing a brace ). So that whole standing thing for Kinect really throws me off. The one thing i can say i really like about the Wii, is you can sit down with most of the games.
If they were to show someone getting all they could out of Kinect while sitting, or for gods sake showing it working for someone wheelchair bound, i would think it would be the bees knees. Instead they mainly showed things taht had people full body, jumping up and down, and doing fitness routines.
Between that, Wii fit, Just Dance, The dancing game from Harmonix, it really seems like the disabled demographic is getting screwed again.
Hell people without stereoscopic vision. They are getting screwed too. I have a friend who wears an eye patch ( cause his eye is fucked up, not because he is a pirate )... this 3d stuff is completely lost on him.
So i hope nintendo at least keeps something going with the new zelda that they did with the most of their wii games, and let it be a sit down affair for those who need it.
Argharble. Gamespot doesn't have the video yet, G4tv doesn't work, and I can't find a full conference video in IGN.
I want to watch the 3DS and the remakes and all the cool stuff people're talking about... I'll go see if a kind soul uploaded it to youtube, even in shitty quality.
There's a 3DS thread for you guys to discuss 3DS-related issues in. You can talk about the other...one or two neat things Nintendo showed at E3 in here if you so desire.
I haven't bought a handheld since the GBA SP. I think the 3DS might finally have my interest in the DS, but I'm a bit concerned about what the pricing might be. There just aren't a lot of times I require portable gaming these days.
We need to know how much it will cost, of course, but on this showing Nintendo has not only reinforced its dominance of handheld gaming but shot to the front of the queue to own the a burgeoning new entertainment market. Nintendo 3DS is the mass-market 3D device. It's that simple

That other thread came up after this one to talk about the game list, dude. This thread was supposed to encompass all that here as well. :?

And GoldenEye. Oh GoldenEye.
I had to be honest.
...Unless they offer some kind of crazy generous DS trade-in scheme scheme? Please?

WTF Nintendo. What. The. Fuck.
And those Star Fox 64 screens are gorgeous. Compared to the original...pfft, there is no comparison.
That analog thumbpad could make for some very interesting ports. Like, Sin and Punishment 3DS.
Because that sounds amazing. If you could rent them from the dsware store or whatever?

I still want Reggie to take his shirt off. Seriously. Or Miyamoto. Someone.. for gods sake get some hot young male intern up there shirtless.
The deal or no deal girls they had going were just... things chained to 3ds handhelds. I didnt even see them as people. I saw them as mobile kiosks.
I can't see them from here. Did they pull a Perfect Dark XBLA and update the models/textures? I'm really hoping that is the case for both of those
But it is nice to know you really can turn the 3D off and that the slider really does make a difference.
Did you not see how to train your dragon?
Because if you think that was poorly done 3d you have no soul.
EDIT: Also its not like 3d movies are going to disappear, more and more will come out and they'll continue to get better.

Basically. Models look the same, but the textures are up-res'ed.
Also Coraline.
Very well, Nintendo. I will purchase two copies. One I shall play, the other I shall romance. :winky:
Don't forget [strike] Dances with Smurfs[/strike] Avatar.
And UP.
And soon to be Toy Story 3.

Also OOT 3D remake? Guess I have to buy it a FOURTH time now!
Didn't find 3D added to Up at all, actually.

Made my E3.
It was the first 3D movie I saw. I thought the 3D was pretty good. Depth, but not IN YOUR FACE distracting.
It wasn't nearly as big a deal as Avatar, though.

My poor wallet.
Still, this is so bought.
MGS1 started on PS1 and moved to Gamecube.
MGS2 started on PS2 and moved to Xbox
MGS3 started on PS2 and has now moved to the DS.
Next, MGS4 will be playable on the iPad. I'm calling it here.
