There's no reason to use 3D if the game doesn't benefit. Portable Blazblue is always a plus.

Games that I hope will be made(But probaly never will) : A game by Bioware(Mass Effect 3ds anyone?) A Bethesda game (Fallout: portable apocolyptia?) More Rts' and Tactical Turn based games (Dawn of war 3ds and Jagged alliance 3ds anyone?) and a good shooter. I will probaly buy MGS3ds, Splinter cell, OOT, Sims 3, Ninja Gaiden, and SF4 when they come out.
Why would you want a 3DS version of a 2d game? You -want- to play a 2d fighter where the characters look like cardboard cut-outs?
meh, that's what they already are in the console games. 2D characters on 3D stages. I don't see what's the big deal about wanting the 3D stages to be in ... more ... 3D.
I think it's more wanting a portable version of the game than anything else.
Besides, a 3DS paper Mario is being made. How is that any different?

The lack of RTSes on the DS in general still annoys me (seriously, it's practically mouse controls!). Blizzard should port a few of theirs over.

Because Paper Mario has always been 3D, with all the characters just happening to be made out of paper for the sake of style. "Paper BlazBlue" would just be weird.
This isn't to say that I wouldn't like a BlazBlue game on the 3DS, though.
I met a dude who'd been at E3 on the way through LAX. The one thing he really seemed super jazzed about was the 3DS. Apparently it actually grants magic powers when you hold it.
He also said it played movies exceptionally, which I wasn't even considering as a feature.
I was thinking that, but the controls are pretty dependant on you being able to touch the play screen. I suppose the top screen could just be a 3D mirror of you actually playing on the bottom screen.

So Reggie just said that the 3DS comes out next year. :?
Tech Demo: Target Shooting: This was another augmented-reality showpiece. For this one, a Nintendo rep put a brown mat on a table. I had to hold the 3DS 14 inches from the mat, my top screen acting as a viewfinder or window to that table and mat. Once I was holding the system at the proper distance, the tabletop appeared to transform, with a chasm opening in the middle and targets emerging. I had to move the 3DS all around the table to get the best angles on the targets, walking all around the table in real life. Once I shot out the targets, a dragon emerged. It had weak points on all sides, so I was again having to walk around the table to shoot it.

that is
fucking amazing
also this:
My missed shots caused an effect that made it look like the table surface was rippling with shockwaves.
Miyamoto + Iwata + Reggie. Fuckin hell thats gotta be a fun group of people to work with.
I've heard Miyamoto is in fact the toughest Boss ever.

I just noticed Reggie confirmed 3DS for *next year* in that video. So I guess all that "this fiscal year" stuff doesn't include a Christmas release (if that is even applicable anymore - though they have until March for that to still be true).
Might just be a stock answer though. From what Iwata said, they have yet to even get together to begin discussing that. Better to say oh it'll be out next year than to say its out for the holidays and end up wrong.
At the same time, they could take quite a hit on their normally ridiculous holiday sales because people would rather wait a couple months for a new system.
Nobody waited for the DSi when the Lite set some record the year before it's release. Though to be fair I don't think the DSi was marketed as heavily pre-release. Don't recall any late night appearances.

He could have said "this fiscal year" like they've said earlier. Though I suppose that might be confusing to most people who don't understand that runs until March 2011. I don't know, we'll see I guess. It seems like the system is largely done, they are maybe just working on software at this point.
P.S. - is it just me, or does Jimmy Falon suck at video games? Who doesn't know A is the jump button? A is jump in like every single game ever...

That just means he's not familiar. Having just been handed a controller, perhaps never having played a Wii, buttons not in a standard controller layout at all, I can understand. Looked like he tried every button but A.
I'm sure he'd played a Wii before. Even if he hasn't... A is jump. A is always jump, it the big button your thumb is always on. Even on more complex controllers, playing with people who don't usually play video games, the easiest instruction is the A button (or whatever primary button) is for jump. Sure they'll constantly forget what X and Y is for but A will always be jump.
Maybe the only Wii game he has ever played is de Blob.

Maybe he only plays PC games because he's hardcore like that. A is left strafe.

I played it, it was pretty fun even if just a gimmick at the moment. Funny enough it crashed the first time I tried to load it up.

Professor Layton THREE DEE
Although Picross 3D just got super, super difficult on Hard difficulty, I definitely would play through it again in 3D.
My most wanted game though, that I've wanted on the DS forever, is a new Mario Golf game. I still play Mario Golf: Advanced Tour every week.

Disappointing, but not surprising (they said next year on Jimmy Fallon's late night show).

I say that, because he is a shitty shitty actor. So shitty that he couldnt act shocked properly if he tried.
So id say, there was an actual wow factor there.
Well the man said it himself.
He is here to kick ass, take names, and Nintendo is about making games.
The man has this ... stage presence about him...
