The last one to die will be Carter, crawling towards you until he is stabbed brutally in the back by an elites energy sword, who will then descend upon your body as you weakly shoot your pistol until you are treated to a brutal scene of a sword going directly into your chest, your head then looking skyward as you see more Covenant ships going into orbit.
Or bungie will do some stupid ending like noble six escaping from the planet in a sabre or seraph or something

no, they are not. Halo Reach has the freedom to retcon most of what we know about Reach from the books
Easy way out would be for them to all die then. I could see Noble Six slipstreaming somewhere without directions(Cole Protocol right?) then stumpling onto COvenant shit much like GHost of Onyx.
There already an excuse for why Noble Team dies: The fact that we LOSE THE PLANET AND EVERYTHING DIES FROM GLASSING
I think Fred, Kelly, Halsey, Will, and Whitcomb would disagree.
Personally, I don't think that they'd have to kill off Noble Team to make a good story for Reach.
Plus, just killing them off would severely hamper the potential for continuing stories involving them. Look at all the SPARTAN-II survivors; if they'd all just died on Reach, we never would have gotten Ghosts of Onyx, arguably the best Halo novel written thus far. Imagine the stories that could involve a post-Reach Noble Team.
Other than .jpeg rape, that serves to remind us that clan support was a pretty cool thing.
Did Microsoft ever explain why we didn't see a return of it with the 360, other than "HUR THE XBOX PROVIDES THE MOST EXPANSIVE AND STREAMLINED ONLINE SUPPORT; CLANS ARE FOR THE WEAK AND UNORGANIZED"?

Well s-h-u-c-k-s, I'll console myself by lasting forever in my version of easy mode Firefight (Legendary as Johnson).
Yeah going back to bumper jumper from Reach's default controls threw me off for a bit. An endure run fixed that though. /smug
Will bumper jumper be available on Reach?
Yes, but the default Reach scheme is a better transition if you are used to bumper jumper. Melee is still RB, but instead of jump on LB, it's armor abilities. I didn't like it at first, but soon realized that being able to aim and use an armor ability was more important than being able to aim and jump at the same time.

it could be a parallel to Noble team's role on Reach, or they could have just used it because it has the phrase 'noble six' in it
Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Bungie will spare at least Six, if not the whole team rather than kill them off.
