Man you can't play big team social without all the DLC now, why is this? I bought every single map pack except the last one released, and now I can't play in most of the playlists like some kind of second class xbox live citizen.
I'm no better off than someone who bought 0 map packs.

Bungie have metrics that say the vast majority of people who play Halo online now are using the disc that came with ODST, using all the maps. So they locked it off to only allow people who have everything, rather than have it as an option.

I understand it. Up until about 3 weeks ago, I had never truly played longshore. So why the hell did I pay for a map that only had a 6% chance of showing up, and that's only if all 16 people actually have the map.
It's kind of a waste and a shame that the developers spent all that time working on that map, and no one is actually going to get a chance to appreciate it.

No, but switching us out of Social Big Team is kind of the same thing. :P
No, I do that because I like playing something other than Big Team all night. I like to you know, get some variety in there and change up what is played for a moment.
It's so great now that BTB is all-DLC required. Now I don't have to play with second-class Xbox Live citizens who keep me from ever getting a match on Avalanche, Longshore, or Sandbox.
Mythic 2 shouldn't be required for BTB. It's too late for Longshore.
The only map pack that deserves requirement is Heroic, because 1) it's free and 2) it actually has 2 BTB maps instead of just 1 from Legendary and 1 from Mythic 2

on the other hand they did reduce Legendary to 160 points
but still, I thought going no-DLC at all was a great move, and going back on that is just silly this late in the game

What was odd though, was that with the no-DLC at all they did, even Standoff wasn't showing up. It became Big Team Valhalla, with special guest appearence by Sand Trap, and a Holiday episode with Last Resort.
If you get it shipped off quickly, it might be back before the 14th. You've got 5 weeks!

How so?
Avalance means you have Legendary. Sandbox means you have Mythic 1, and Longshore means you have Mythic 2. Standoff is free, so...?
