The girl who ran trivia at our local Smokey Bones used to play Burn It To The Ground every week. And Party In The USA. I wanted both tracks pretty badly in RB. Glad I got half of what I was hoping for.
As far as Nickelback goes, man... this is the closest I've seen this forum come to outright "fuck you Hamronix" hostility! I don't HATE Nickelback. I reserve feelings like that for... well, let's say someone like... uhh... yeah. But damn, you guys are ANGRY!
Oh wait, I kinda hate Incubus, but I'd still buy Megalomaniac in a fuckin heartbeat if they put it up for DLC. Then I'd punch a Harmonix employee in the face for putting them in before dredg. Just sayin'.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between
and
"You like playing Rock Band? You know, I had a lot of fun learning to play a real instrument. [I'm not trying to say stop having fun with Rock Band, but] You might enjoy that as well. Want to give it a try? You can totally borrow my . . . hey why are you looking at me like that? I didn't mean . . . aww."

I'd say Nickleback isn't bad, they're just bland. And so many of their songs really do sound the same. Same/Similar riffs, vocal tones, lyrical content. I'd say they're average at everything and don't understand how they have gotten popular/sold so many albums. I like some of their songs, and theres probably a few I'd buy in RB that might be fun. I would never buy an album of theres, but I won't automatically change the radio station when they come on.

That pretty much sums it up. They're bland but inoffensive in the vein of Hagar-era Van Halen.

I'd agree with this, save for their more recent singles. "Something in Your Mouth" comes to mind.
I mean, I'm all for sex and rock n' roool but most of Nickleback's recent stuff I've heard have a disturbing focus on the subject.

So I was driving through the desert today and the random radio station was all like "Hey guys here's a Nickelback song" and it opened up with some speedy, catchy riff and I was like what the fuck and then it stopped and then whatsisface started singing to some really slow, basic beat that was nothing like the awesome intro.
harmonies have spoiled me and I don't think I can enjoy rock band2 multiplayer as much as I can beatles rb. that sounds probably like a terrible opinion but singing with other bros is just so fun, and I don't like green day, so that's out.
oh well. I have my queen pack so that will satisfy my vocal appetite.
So, I disassembled and parted out my RB1 drumset. POS is in the trashcan now, but I kept parts of it. Kept the pads, kick pedal and for now, the legs.
Anyone interested in a spare RB drum pad for a modding project? I'm thinking I might take a solder gun to these things and turn them into cymbal pads for when I get around to getting replacement RB2/RB3 drums
I was an accidental witness to a Nickelback tribute band last night - presumably Australia's finest.
Gentlemen, they captured that bland, beige flavour of crap-rock to a tee. The singer even had Chad's shittily-bleached long hair and douche bag goatee.
Try and imagine this - day to day, your place in society is as a pale imitation of Chad Kroeger. My God, the self esteem issues.

My ears aren't finely tuned to that special range of frequencies that only Nickelback and Creed can reach, so I'm not really qualified to make that judgement.

I can dig me some Chad Kroeger in that Heaven song by Santana. Though there's a version with the dude from The Calling, too.
On the note of Nickelback - I'm just really surprised their stuff will even play on the radio here in my little section of the midwest. This is all usually family friendly stuff all around unless you're in a population area, so songs about fuckin' like animals and sex is never the question (it's always the answer (and the answer's YES)) and babes looking cuter with things in their mouth was a little crazy to hear pop up in the rotation. Maybe they hope it's going to be like Jack & Diane, or Afternoon Delight - where people enjoy it without really paying attention to the words?
Either way, it's just strange that Nickelback seems to be busting down the doors to "racy" music on the handful of radio stations I listen to around the area.

I think for a lot of people, the OXM tracks were their first DLC.
No no no no no
They have to make it available somehow
They have to
I just want it eventually

Pokemon Safari - Sneasel, Pawniard, ????
I approve of your new AV/sig combo. I like to believe it was partially inspired by me.
Unless.... wait!
My god.
He's encouraging people to learn instruments.
The monster.

Although it's Nickleback and they're kind of a black hole for music snobbery based hatred so I can't say it's surprising I guess.
'How You Remind Me' playing in the right channel, and 'Someday' playing in the left, at the same time.
It's actually eerie.

I lost it on Shackler's Revenge, so I could take a break at least. But on Visions?

I am doing this right now
the only thing that could be worse
if they were actually worse than Nickelback
...
were they actually worse than Nickelback
Steam
Creed are actually decent
the only good thing Chad Kroeger's ever done was that song for Spiderman
i think it was called "Hero"
but that's the only good thing he's done
Steam
My close friend made this music video a few years ago for what should have been on the Spider-Man soundtrack instead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51kA4ncKcqs
but that looks so awesome that i agree completely
Steam
Pictures when you're done.

Note that he didn't write it. He just sang it. No wonder it was actually good compared to Nickelback stuff.
you didn't like the lyrical masterpiece that led to
"you look so good
with SOMETHING IN YOUR MOUTH"
being created and unleashed to the public?

I'll admit that I've never really paid attention to the lyrics
Gonna go look those up right now
None of that is cut out of the radio edit?
Well I think it goes without saying that adding Dave Grohl pretty much always makes something better.
