    DLC collector's item!

I actually remember to avoid deleting the OXM songs, even though they're only 80 points each to get back..

Oh man, I remember the conga line we had going for that thing so everyone could get the songs.

I think for a lot of people, the OXM tracks were their first DLC.

The girl who ran trivia at our local Smokey Bones used to play Burn It To The Ground every week. And Party In The USA. I wanted both tracks pretty badly in RB. Glad I got half of what I was hoping for.

As far as Nickelback goes, man... this is the closest I've seen this forum come to outright "fuck you Hamronix" hostility! I don't HATE Nickelback. I reserve feelings like that for... well, let's say someone like... uhh... yeah. But damn, you guys are ANGRY!

Oh wait, I kinda hate Incubus, but I'd still buy Megalomaniac in a fuckin heartbeat if they put it up for DLC. Then I'd punch a Harmonix employee in the face for putting them in before dredg. Just sayin'.

    Yeah they totally did.

I guess there's a large enough market for people to want to sing "Rockstar" or whatever at parties.

I'd say Nickleback isn't bad, they're just bland. And so many of their songs really do sound the same. Same/Similar riffs, vocal tones, lyrical content. I'd say they're average at everything and don't understand how they have gotten popular/sold so many albums. I like some of their songs, and theres probably a few I'd buy in RB that might be fun. I would never buy an album of theres, but I won't automatically change the radio station when they come on.

So I was driving through the desert today and the random radio station was all like "Hey guys here's a Nickelback song" and it opened up with some speedy, catchy riff and I was like what the fuck and then it stopped and then whatsisface started singing to some really slow, basic beat that was nothing like the awesome intro.

So, I disassembled and parted out my RB1 drumset. POS is in the trashcan now, but I kept parts of it. Kept the pads, kick pedal and for now, the legs.

Anyone interested in a spare RB drum pad for a modding project? I'm thinking I might take a solder gun to these things and turn them into cymbal pads for when I get around to getting replacement RB2/RB3 drums

I was an accidental witness to a Nickelback tribute band last night - presumably Australia's finest.

Gentlemen, they captured that bland, beige flavour of crap-rock to a tee. The singer even had Chad's shittily-bleached long hair and douche bag goatee.

Try and imagine this - day to day, your place in society is as a pale imitation of Chad Kroeger. My God, the self esteem issues.

I can dig me some Chad Kroeger in that Heaven song by Santana. Though there's a version with the dude from The Calling, too.

On the note of Nickelback - I'm just really surprised their stuff will even play on the radio here in my little section of the midwest. This is all usually family friendly stuff all around unless you're in a population area, so songs about fuckin' like animals and sex is never the question (it's always the answer (and the answer's YES)) and babes looking cuter with things in their mouth was a little crazy to hear pop up in the rotation. Maybe they hope it's going to be like Jack & Diane, or Afternoon Delight - where people enjoy it without really paying attention to the words?

Either way, it's just strange that Nickelback seems to be busting down the doors to "racy" music on the handful of radio stations I listen to around the area.
