It appears we'll be getting Cheat on the Church through RBN this week. It reached quarantine. Hopefully by the time I can list it, there will be more/better videos.
Well I got the portable drum kit on Friday. Basically got some of hat heavy duty double sided sticky tape and secured the pads on top of my Rockband 1 drum kit. I didn't realize just how much the RB1 drums sucked until I played on these. They register all my hits and I've gone from scoring just four stars without really getting close to 5 stars, to now hitting five stars with ease (all in normal currently)
I'm tempted to grab a second set just so that I have a back up in case me or my friends get too rough with them. At only 10 bucks it seems like a steal.
No K-Mart stores anywhere near me. Anyone want to pick up a copy and ship it to Canada? Being reinbursed for their trouble, of course. :P
Go take a look at your local Rogers Video or Blockbuster. You should be able to find a copy dirt cheap.
Descendant X on
Garry: I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!
Here are the recent list of songs for RBN officially available in-game since the last time. All songs are two dollars except where noted. (Example links included where available. * means it's not an 'in-game' chart.)
The Last Sound? Yeah, it's the 'anthem' for a MLS team.
I guess metal songs only get drum videos when the drums are 'hard'. I have to say I'm a little disapointed they aren't labeled as dirtcore.
I'd hope that the Sleater-Kinney song isn't really right biased at home. That shit was distracting whilst wearing headphones.
Oh neat-o. A zombie song. Drummers ought to like it for sure.
I'm just going to start linking directly to the song page from Rock Band when there are no videos. At least you can hear a small sample of the song... God knows nobody seems to give a shit about some songs. Drums sound interesting enough, though.
The MLS is basically what Americans think football should be. Teams identified by their nicknames, entry drafts, playoffs. And now, generic butt rock. Bleh.
So what are some good song recommendations for somebody who is looking at drums primarily for ska songs. Obviously the pickings are super slim. are there some songs that are hidden away that have that ska feel but aren't technically ska?
So in the latest OXM podcast there is an interview with the developers at HMX. They mention that all post RB3 DLC will require RB3 to play (which we already knew), They mention that all existing DLC should have Pro Drums support (Which we already knew). But then it is mentioned that fans can go to the rock band forums and politely request what "Legacy DLC" they would like updated with the full suite of RB3 features.
Is this the first pseudo confirmation that at least SOME of the older DLC will be updated with harmonies, keyboards, and Pro Mode guitar?

For the love of all things holy, Under Pressure better get harmonies first.

It makes it more likely, at the very least. Something they're at least thinking about if they can get enough people to rebuy them.

Still not a confirmation of anything, however. They have a thread for which RBN songs to make the jump. That doesn't mean a song will.

360?
I might play some of them, grudgingly.
But select Let There Be Rock (Live) and I will just stand up and leave my console.

If you do play them, make sure your yellow hi hat is working cause you'll be using it a lot.
Until my arms get too tired to do it.

With no dirty deeds necessary. (rim shot)
That's some big balls.
Seriously though, WHERE THE FUCK ITS THE SPLOSION MAN SONG.
Due to lack of some in-game charts, may be NSFW.

Even more awful than the official team song:

:P
The only people who think MLS is what it "should" be are the owners and marketing tools.

Would be interesting if the music community were able to become the sole supplier of new RB2 DLC.
If you ever wonder why you get teased for your taste, I'm bringing this up.
