This will probably be a not so hardcore request but I would enjoy if all Blink songs included Harmonies. Even more so than (*gasp*) the Queen songs. Hell, add a piano too for I miss you.
EDIT: Feeling This feels so odd whenever I'm singing.

It's the terror of knowing what this world is about...
If you ever wonder why you get teased for your taste, I'm bringing this up.
I was actually just curious about that one since it's a free DLC and everyone can (and should) have it
They should revamp all the free tracks
So the companies promoting whatever should continue to foot that bill?
position - song title - registered scores
1 - Still Alive - 640,450
4 - Charlene - 493,908 (3 on the Wii)
5 - Promised Land - 489,917 (2 on the Wii)
12 - Headphones On - 392,345
189 - Dreaming of Love - 92,287
451 - Am I Crazy - 34,232
And that would be the free songs (and only one of which shows any current activity on the Wii), with no guarantee that people would be interested in downloading them for any other price. How much hope do 'real' songs have?
Also of note, Don't Stop Believing is the highest charting DLC song on the Wii with 27,157. The 'free' song Bounce is second with 26,691. In fact, the next pay DLC song on the Wii is at the eighth spot. It's Wonderwall with 17,641. Still Alive is at fifteen with 14,664 and slowly climbing.
Of the on-disc songs, Today has the most number of registered scores with 49,811. That HMX continues to support the Wii is nothing short of heroic.
People really should stop dreaming about Pro Mode ports. No matter what the final decision becomes, it won't satisfy everybody. Two recent Suggestions are a title update that would push/pull updated songs as they become available. Though how it would deal with costs is never really detailed nor folks who may or may not remain connected to the [strike]internets[/strike] tubes (RIP you hillbilly fuck).
Another suggestion is a bulk back offering a la track pack discs (Fuck you, Wii!) that either has the full songs or just some kind of code that updates the necessary bits. How this would handle online play is also never really detailed. (I know I sure want to buy a bulk pack that might upgrade some, but not all, songs. Not all, since I sure don't have all of the most popular and likely tracks and would relish the concept of playing, say, $10 to upgrade content I don't have or bulk buy shit I don't want...)
The only truly feasible method of delivery is single tracks, individually priced, and wholly separate from existing tracks. And potentially for more than the original price.
I'm kinda curious what will be voted to be redone. Hopefully its not the SH junkies who love the thrash, because on real guitar a lot of those songs will be junk, and the people able to play pro mode with them will be 0%.
I would think the Pearl Jam stuff would be great though.
I hope Pro Mode Guitar kills the need for Metal for people looking for challenge. I love Metal but whenever I get a random challenging setlist that consists of:
Judas Priest
Iron Maiden
Megadeth
I suffer. A lot. I don't mind listening. It's exhausting to play them back to back.

Eh, not really. So many of the metal songs are harder in RB than they are in real life because there is way to play open fret notes. I can't play "Blinded by Fear" on expert in RB, but I can play the song in real life. There are a few others like that. Now, I will agree that all the songs ported, if any, should not strictly be metal. Some variety would be key. Maybe if HMX picked one song from each genre per round of porting or something. Might be cool to get some metal, some blues, some grunge, some punk, some country, and some goth all in one round.

The SH junkies aren't going to play Pro Mode Guitar.
Wow... There's been a sudden burst of crazy Entitlement Fail all over the Boards in the last day or two. Some brief highlights:
We all remember there were some sort of plans involving a massive outlay of Pearl Jam tracks, right? So does this fellow.
We've been waiting for well over a year to get any information on this.
Where is it?
I don't have any interest in RB3 and I'm hoping PJRB isn't optimized for the new instruments.
Doesn't even want the option for Pro Mode. Period.
Anyway, after a few folks mention that there is no new word about the subject, he says this.
I may not be part of their Senior Leadership, but any company that sells the amount of games they do, not to mention the DLC (and can afford to sink who knows how many millions into Dance Central) can certainly afford to put out something they said they would.
And regardless of what other devs and publishers do about cancellations, I still want to know about this game. As do a lot of other people. It's been too long for us not to hear anything.
Got that? HMX should release a game into the wild because they spent money on it and they promised.
After that, he gets in a pissing match with a regular Poster and basically decides that since everybody who doesn't work for HMX is saying that HMX doesn't have to say anything, that everybody should just shut up until HMX confirms the existence of a Pearl Jam game. A true and happy thread, I tell you what.
Then there's this...seemingly benign (and surprisingly common) question.
If i own RB 1 and RB 2 on Xbox 360 and bought all my DLC on the xbox360 can i buy RB 3 for PS3 and still get all the DLC i payed for thats on my Xbox 360? Really would like to know because i dont really want to have to rebuy all my old DLC and RB, RB 2 for my PS3.
There can be only one answer, so this exchange pops up.
damn so only Dragon Age is doing cross system options.
Most of Dragon Age's DLC is also console specific, mind.
Well I was just referring to the fact that it saves your choices and those will carry over from console to console for DA2.
So it seems all games must now save all player decisions so they can be usable on any platform in the future. How one makes the leap from 'central server that tracks in-game player decisions made in a RPG tied to unique user ID' with 'all externally purchased content and property should be cross-platform compatible' is a question for the ages.
And, of course, can't have a thread like this without the standard 'duh' comment.
This why??? Why are you leaving the 360 when you know Harmonix seems to favor the 360 for its games???
Too true. I remember when Rock Band: Unplugged came out as exclusive for the 360. And when they announced that Amplitude and Frequency were going to be XBLA exclusives? I thought the internets were going to melt.
One final, petty going away present.
I always thought songs were overpriced at 160. 240 is ludacris I think.
Ahem... In the future, it's ludicrous meaning 'causing laughter because of absurdity; provoking or deserving derision'. And yes, typically charging $2 for Rock Band DLC content is absurd and worthy of derision. Shit should be FREE!
It's even more ridiculous when you consider that Canada has to pay even more for Microsoft points than the US does. Each dollar we pay nets us 70 points versus 80 for US customers.

New dev post up on rockband.com detailing some new features as well as Road Challenges:
These bonus opportunities are expressed as gameplay objectives that vary from gig to gig. Here are some examples:
"Overdrive Overdose." Earn your bonus by deploying Overdrive as many times as possible. It doesn't matter how long each Overdrive deployment lasts - the greater the number of Overdrive deployments, the larger the bonus.
"Streakmania." Build your bonus with each streak of notes (or vocal phrases) achieved by any member of your band. Consecutive streaks grow the bonus at an even faster rate.
"Share the Spotlight." Band members take turns performing "in the spotlight." When you're in the spotlight, you're under pressure to achieve a note (or vocal phrase) streak. Doing so hands off the spotlight to another band member. Your bonus grows with each successful hand-off.
"All for One." If all band members play with high accuracy within a song section, your bonus increases. But if even one member fails to make the cut, then no bonus is gained - you'll have to try again in the next song section.
"Overdrive Streak." Here, you're rewarded for using Overdrive without breaking streak. The more notes (or vocal phrases) you can streak while deploying Overdrive, the bigger the bonus.
"Overdrive Chain." This one's about deploying Overdrive for as long a time as possible. Band members can extend their Overdrive time by "chaining together" deployments - so long as one or more players is deploying, the chain continues to build. Longer chains translate to bigger bonuses, so coordinate with your band to time your deployments appropriately.
Also, there will be outdoor venues in RB3. Plus:
At the same time, we wanted to provide flexibility with a variety of setlists for different play preferences:
-Ready-made setlists allow you to play through the new Rock Band 3 disc songs in a difficulty-ordered way.
-Random setlists assemble a grab bag of songs (including your downloaded songs) grouped by a common theme (e.g., songs from a single genre, decade, song source, or artist).
-Custom setlists let you pick your own set of songs from a subset of your collection, determined by a common theme (just like random setlists). The possibilities are limited so that setlist building is quick and painless - we know how things can stall when making selections from a library of potentially hundreds of songs.
The Endless Setlist III? At least there's no Bladder Achievement this time. How many songs this time? 85 again? I hope we can save or something. I just find it tough to get time for Endless anything.
At least I feel they're more reasonable than say...RB Beatles. I doubt I'll get a Platinum (screw you ES3) but I hope I can get 80% or so. I've gotten what...70% on RB2 and 60% on both Beatles and Green Day.
Wow - so the RB3 achievements will LAUNCH with stuff from DLC thats already existed?
Thats...weird.
Yeah, Microsoft frowns on that. Maybe that's why there are 1250 instead of the usual 1000. All achievements after ESL3 add up to 250 and are generally about 'play and buy some shit you don't have'.
Not sure how I feel about specific DLC achievements. Also, Pro Guitar achievements suck for those who opt not to upgrade to another instrument.
I still don't own a drumkit. Kind of awesome for me with RB2 seeing a bunch of achievements I still can't get. Them's the breaks since I'm not buying A Perfect Drug, ain't it?
I'm hoping their bit about pre-made setlists means no more bullshit like the Guitar/Bass/Drum/Vocal Legends sets. Playing the five hardest songs on an instrument, especially when two or three of them repeat in all of them, is fucking dreadful.
Also, potential 'leak' for tomorrow's announcement (the 'YES' comes from the OP):
YES!
The Black Keys will make their debut in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and Wii next week. The Black Keys' Rock Band debut will include a three pack of tracks launching this Tuesday, August 17.
The Black Keys Pack 01 will feature "Strange Times" and "I Got Mine," off their 2008 Nonesuch album Attack & Release, which debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. "I Got Mine" was featured as No. 23 on The Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. The pack will also feature "Your Touch" off The Black Keys' 2006 Nonesuch debut album, Magic Potion. These tracks will be available for purchase both as The Black Keys Pack 01 and as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii. With these additions, there are now 1,577 tracks available to date from Rock Band via disc and download purchase. For more information, go to RockBand.com.
