I don't claim to know a ton about these things, but I know DX11 is supposed to have far better support for multicore processors than DX10, which will be important going forward in gaming since the steps forward in processing power the past few years have been going to dual core and then quad core processors, rather than just speeding up a single core.
You're close enough, it's basically increased efficiency between the CPU and GPU. There's also some stuff about improving texture compression, but Microsoft has been known to blow smoke. If 11 pans out I'd like to see them use it, the improved texture compression is more useful to an MMO then anything else.
I tried to make the sarcasm as obvious as possible.
But in terms of fairness, I'll try to simplify the answer in light of your cavemanism. It makes pretty colors
Who is more sarcastic? The man who makes the first comment, or the man who uses the first comment as a spring board for an even more sarcastic joke? :P
Tessellation.
Tessellation is a neat feature; however, it doesn't have much use in an MMO.
Only if you can tell the class what that is.
Sans technobabble, it allows for more detailed models.

You guys who are talking about "attachment is forbidden for Jedi" do realize that Luke Skywalker, Grand Master of the Jedi Order, got married and had a kid with Mara Jade, right?
Or are we talking about Old Republic standards (which even seems wrong, considering Revan and Bastilla) or something? Because Jedi definately do form attachments.
Seemed like a pretty big deal in those prequel movies.
Prequel movies don't count. I'd explain why but Tube would hate me for it.
It's what Subway doesn't do with their cheese to anger me.
Thank God I'm not the only one.
I had to look this up to see what you where talking about. Now that i know what it's about I realized it also angers me... but all the top searches for subway tessellation seem to show that subway to switching to a pro-tessellating stance
I wouldn't mind finding out how big each planet is. I'm curious if they are actually as big as Kalimdor as some people claimed before. That would be pretty awesome, provided they balance scale with content. By that I mean large enough to give the illusion of a large size, but not so big that they add terrain to inflate the scale.

Speaking of Kotor 2, they made some referances to it in the Nar Shaddaa and The Exchange. This makes me wonder if perhaps we'll see GO-TO. It would make sense for him to be there still running The Exchange. I wonder who I would work for? One one hand the Hutts are ruthless and semi-entertaining. On the other hand, GO-TO is ruthless and tactical as hell (for good reason).

Yeah, G0-T0 was actually a droid that used a hologram so people would think he was human. He was actually the droid intelligence that was originally supposed to help the Republic rebuild Carth's world (the name escapes me). But they programmed it not to restore the world, but to save the Republic. So the droid actually ran away and took over the Exchange. I liked that subplot myself and hope it comes back.

I should play KOTOR 2 some time - I tried when it came out and all it did was crash and crash and corrupt data files and I threw it away and never looked back.

I've never had those problems. But if you want to experiance Kotor 2 without playing it, this Let's Play is an excellent read. The guy who did it really did an great job. He even included all the cut content. His commentary is very good too.
Edit: When looking at the Nar Shaddaa screenshots, does anyone get reminded of Omega from Mass Effect 2? I hope it's kinda like that, cause Omega was awesome.

Bioware seems to have some game scenarios that they love revisiting in all their games. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nar Shaddaa resembles Omega although I hope they can go without the obligatory
Plague Zone
When I first discovered that section of gameplay I blacked out and woke up 4 hours later covered in drool after suffering a debilitating Neverwinter flashback. Even typing it out, I can hear that same 10 seconds of looping ambient sound even now.
I also wouldn't be surprised if the Shadow Broker is close bros with G0-T0

G0-T0 was programmed to both save the Republic by rebuilding that planet's infrastructure and environment (I also forget the name), and not break any of it's laws while accomplishing it's goals. After a while it realized that it's goal was unattainable logically and financially without breaking the law, so G0-T0 decided to forgo that restriction. After becoming more and more prominent in all areas of business it eventually became leader of the Exchange as a way to secure all the credits and resources it would ever need, and continued with it's objective while at the same time keeping the Exchange relatively reined in but profitable.
I would really like to see G0-T0, as with HK-47, make a return in TOR as part of a longer quest arc story involving Nar Shaddaa and the Exchange.

This was the single favorite option for everyone I know that played that game.
I still have a save ~4-5(?) years old right at that point, just so I can redo that option when I need a pick-me-up.
