This is just confusing at this point.

Honestly, I'd take Rooney off for the next game unless he improves, he's been a complete non-entity yet again.

Crouch on for Barry, they could make something of this now.

Is a 0-0 draw the best result the US could hope for?

I guess other than an Algeria win.

An Algeria win wouldn't be as good as 0-0 draw for us, though better than an England win.

Algerian win means a draw and we're eliminated
0-0 means a draw puts us through unless England win or draw with 2 more goals than the US score against Algeria

    ed no that's not right

Americans will easily tolerate an abortion of a game if they get the right result out of it. We're all about results.

I'm guessing so, both the forwards play for Tottenham, so I guess there's a hope there for some sort of good team play.

Not that i don't want to advance, but if slovenia hapens to beat england and say we lost to algeria, would that be the sign of the apocalypse ? 2 teams that were expected to geat beat by their group giants end up qualifying for the finjal 16?

You can't just throw Lampard out! He's one of our best players! Clearly the solution is to play him and another equal player, who favours the same position, should be forced to play out of it, benching a player who likes that position, to accomodate this!
