Kinderparty, PM me the login info for PAFIGHTINGSTEETS. I have great matches to upload from todays ranbat and it makes sense to keep them all in once place instead of some in my youtube channel and some in yours.

I've just gotten used to chun's target combo -> cr.hp xx medium sbk. Should I only do this combo if I have a super stored? It seems like every time I do this combo the other player has a free hit after its done.
SBK is pretty useless unless it's EX.
That's dumb. Do j.rh, cr.hp xx m.sbk. Scales less, deals more damage. Aumni is mostly right, but, except in punisher combos. The combo I just listed, and crumple stun dash c.fp xx m.sbk are good combos. But as far as doing it when you have super? Chun's super is weird. It's great to have, but if you generally don't have it since you need it for her go to, ex legs. Whenever you're in a position to combo into m.sbk though, you should do it. It is a loooot of damage.
Ok so... I'll continue to do that combo. Back to my original question... what do I do after it? It seems I always get punished after doing it since it doesn't knock down.
Block? It's -1 on hit. You can attempt to throw if you think you can get away with it, but you'll lose to shoryukens and shit. But yeah, no harm in blocking after a ridiculous damage combo like that.
I broke him out again tonight man, to scrape the rust off. I must say continuous stepkick and TT mixups from 100 - 0 health never gets old. You would have been proud, I hope.
Edit: Mynameisguido, yeah that was an epic thread, it was discussed a bit here when aBlank posted it earlier this afternoon. I must catch up on the last few pages though, I'm sure more shit has been talked.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
Bizazedo won his first ever RanBat. The eight points propels him to tied for 15th place. Your second place winner, Aumni, takes home seven points and is now within striking distance of 4th place, merely five points behind what would net him a first round bye. ChaosHat, taking a respectable third place, solidifies his hold on the overall top spot.
In terms of the overall standings, Chamberlain falls from 4th place, one point is all that separates him from reclaiming his place. Stoked, RxNegative, and Aumni remain two, four and five points behind respectively, keeping the race for fourth the most exciting. Kinderparty has finally closed the gap on Blackbeard7, he is now just ONE point away from taking second place.
Bizazedo pushes Apolloh and Boceifus both tied for 20th place with six points. Also on notice for elimination are DitchDoofa and Kris with seven points.
"Even if I lose, it's not like I'm going to admit you outplayed me anyway...and if i win I'm just going to talk mad shit. So it's really not going to prove anything besides entertainment value for everyone."
So basically, if he wins, he's gonna talk shit. If he loses he aint gonna admit anything and still talk shit, and give NO PROPS? Gutter trash.
Sabin is a beast, but he's also a salty bitch.

GGs earlier Antiwhippy. The lag was my internet connection sputtering then dying for 10 minutes.
Also, I'm going to be giving Honda another serious look. He's been a character I liked but didn't do well with in Vanilla, but after getting him to C rank in Super I think I can do better with now.
Wow, my level of respect for Arturo has gone waaaaaaay down. I'd love if Juicebox beats him with a wakeup Breathless in that money match; I would pay to see a video of his reaction.

So, just how hard is Seth to play as? I was mucking around with him in training mode and jeez he is nasty, like landing an extended EX Shoryuken and then catching them in Ultra 2 on the way down. That's brutal and great fun. My mate was just like "The fuck was that?!"

Seth isn't too hard to play, except that you simply can't make mistakes. If you drop one link, you lose more than half your health.
He's a lot of fun, though, provided that you don't just jump back hp all day. I'm planning to revisit him again after a local tournament is done with tomorrow.

Seth's combos aren't overly difficult (there are exceptions because he has about a million combos) but yeah, making no mistakes is really tough. Especially say, if you are trying to zone Zangief.. one counterhit headbutt stuns you in one hit, his ultra will wipe out 70% of your lifebar and then you are one throw away from dying.
hardest part as Seth is starting your offense once people have learned the matchup.. then you have to use every move available to you, all while you make no mistakes, so he just gets harder and harder to play
Good times at the ranbats last night. I've scheduled it in with my fiance and I should have Tuesday and Thursday nights all to myself for ranbats, and I'm open to Wednesday. It's good to be moved/settled in.
Good games last night everyone. I feel like I learned a lot, especially from those of you who played Honda. That guy is a rough matchup for me because I'm bad at countering his regular special moves.
Also, Chaoshat, you are TERRIFYING to face. I'm used to the Chun-Lis I encounter online who usually pull some jump in bullshit and get punished appropriately. There were moments in our matches where I knew exactly what you were doing with your kikkoukens and I still had no clue how to counter them.
Ragequits never lose their flavor. Had an Adon quit out on me in the second round after I block a desperation wakeup ultra. This was in endless, mind you, in the FIRST match.
I send "lol"
He replies " got better things 2 do"
I retort " like what, lose more?"
Ahh, the smell of salty in the morning.

I'm about to hop into Ranked, but I'd be more than happy to get some Endless in instead.
I'm back to my original SFIV state where I don't have a main again. All I have is my continuing journey to achieve C to Shiningg C. I'm not entirely sure what I'll do after that .

I'm almost done C to Shining C. The only person I have left is Boxer. I left him for last because he was my best character in vanilla for a long time (nowadays I prefer Bison or Vega). This last C should go fast.
It takes an achievement to get you guys to play other characters instead of the usually main + second? Well, I guess they are good for something after all.

Really can't decide on Ryu or Gouken for this wanfest thing. Grrrr somebody help.
Is it more enjoyable to play "for fun" or to play to win?
If the former, gouken. If the latter, ryu.
This is more of a question about your current mood than your overall outlook.
Lately I have been enjoying going all out and playing Bison in ranked, keeping my PP high and fighting generally strong players.
Edit: Dover, sometimes it only takes a small push to get people to try something new. I would never have learned how fun Honda and Seth are without C to C.
If Gouken doesn't have a ton of seriously bad match ups I would run him at least in the early rounds on the logic that people are more likely to not know the match up.

Awesome games, Aumni. I hope the others are entertained half as much watching these fights as I was fighting them.
It was....tense.

Excellent job running things, Chaos!

Exhibit A (don't just read the first bit, it gets better later on)
It's probably funnier because I'm imagining his whiny nasally voice while reading it.

You make me proud sir.
Also in reference to the SRK thread, apparently there is going to be a money match between Juicebox and Arturo (Sabin) at Evo.
In short, Sabin called Juicebox a scrub. Juicebox showed up and offered a money match and Sabin accepted it.

ChaosHat 4-0(8-1)
Bizazedo 4-0(8-1)
ConvicNic 4-0(8-1)
Kinderparty 3-1(6-3)

Chamberlain 2-2(6-4)
TopHatPanda 2-2(6-5)
Apolloh 2-2(5-5)

You can just remove me Chaos. My shift got changed to later again, so I won't be able to attend any more ranbats.
The finals are asynchronous, so if by some chance you manage to make it to the final 20, you could still play.

The Goddamn TE's are 99 dollars today on Amazon.
Both PS3 and 360 TEs. Run and grab 'em boys!
I am going to try to hit the next one and see if I can lift my score a bit.

Eight ranbats remain, which means there's plenty of time to make it into the top 20, hell probably even the top 4 if you're good.

I find myself considering this exactly. Of course at the same time with Gouken you get that bizarre matchup factor that not everyone knows.
*Sigh* Hopefully i'll be able to start going in a week or two.
