Okay, I'm not done with C to Shining C, but I'm done with it.

When the game is no longer fun, its time to call it quits.

I only have 3 chars to go myself. I might be done with Super for a good while after i finish it.

An upcoming local tournament has forced me to stick to just a couple characters for awhile, which is different for me. As soon as it's over, I'll be back to using like 15 characters and not really having a single "main".

Good games last night everyone. I feel like I learned a lot, especially from those of you who played Honda. That guy is a rough matchup for me because I'm bad at countering his regular special moves.

Also, Chaoshat, you are TERRIFYING to face. I'm used to the Chun-Lis I encounter online who usually pull some jump in bullshit and get punished appropriately. There were moments in our matches where I knew exactly what you were doing with your kikkoukens and I still had no clue how to counter them.

Haha, I suppose that's a compliment. Chun is definitely my most solid character with Juri becoming an increasingly close second. If you or anyone else for that matter, need help with either fight, I'd be more than happy to. It would also help if you had a mic.

I intended it as a compliment for what it's worth. I do have a mic, but I don't usually pull it out to play fighting games. I will totally hit you up for a match some time though.

Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Okay, I normally don't post forum drama on here, but this is from my local thread and scene, so I'm gonna make an exception.

Here's the layout: a well-known player and arcade operator in Nashville jokingly calls out a Memphis player to get him to come out to a tourney in Nashville. This leads to a bit of shit talk and some hype Memphis vs Nashville.
Money match challenges are made, etc etc.

However, later on, gdbell, a player who almost never shows up locally and isn't very good to boot, starts running his mouth, and things get hilarious. I'm gonna spoiler stuff, and to save time, only read gdbells posts and the replies to him. There is some off-topic stuff being discussed, and yes thats a mom of 2, her kid plays a mean Rufus.

Commence rising of the sodium levels!:

And I'm sure you can follow from there. Fun times all around.

i won't be able to make it tonight, since i live downtown and it's a ways to travel, but i'll keep an eye on the thread for the next one. i work really close to the location they're using tonight, so it might be convenient in the future.

Eh, it's kind of what's going to happen at a tournament, though I do think commentators should avoid those kinds of comments. But you can't let that bother you during a match, people are going to talk shit, especially when you are up against someone everyone knows like Buktooth.
