I'm back to my original SFIV state where I don't have a main again. All I have is my continuing journey to achieve C to Shiningg C. I'm not entirely sure what I'll do after that .
I only have 3 chars to go myself. I might be done with Super for a good while after i finish it.
An upcoming local tournament has forced me to stick to just a couple characters for awhile, which is different for me. As soon as it's over, I'll be back to using like 15 characters and not really having a single "main".
Good games last night everyone. I feel like I learned a lot, especially from those of you who played Honda. That guy is a rough matchup for me because I'm bad at countering his regular special moves.
Also, Chaoshat, you are TERRIFYING to face. I'm used to the Chun-Lis I encounter online who usually pull some jump in bullshit and get punished appropriately. There were moments in our matches where I knew exactly what you were doing with your kikkoukens and I still had no clue how to counter them.
Haha, I suppose that's a compliment. Chun is definitely my most solid character with Juri becoming an increasingly close second. If you or anyone else for that matter, need help with either fight, I'd be more than happy to. It would also help if you had a mic.

Just don't tell him that you are recording what he is doing.

I intended it as a compliment for what it's worth. I do have a mic, but I don't usually pull it out to play fighting games. I will totally hit you up for a match some time though.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
Urgh. I go into Ranked and the first three players I come across are all 10k+ BP guys. Not even informative matches, just "I lose and I don't know how I'm supposed to do that" matches.
Yeah there were a couple of tournaments in Montreal in April and May. I never got around to heading down. I do want to hit the next one; i think the big gathers are on Concordia campus.

Hmm. Now that you mention it. Ottawa has a small scene i believe. I just checked out the ottawa srk thread and they have a bunch of guys who ranbat al lthe time. I may start doing this then think about those tourneys in montreal.

Yeah I've asked some questions in that thread but never got a reply. I'm not sure how open they are to new people. Let me know if you get a response, I'd like to get in on it as well.

Okay, I normally don't post forum drama on here, but this is from my local thread and scene, so I'm gonna make an exception.
Here's the layout: a well-known player and arcade operator in Nashville jokingly calls out a Memphis player to get him to come out to a tourney in Nashville. This leads to a bit of shit talk and some hype Memphis vs Nashville.
Money match challenges are made, etc etc.
However, later on, gdbell, a player who almost never shows up locally and isn't very good to boot, starts running his mouth, and things get hilarious. I'm gonna spoiler stuff, and to save time, only read gdbells posts and the replies to him. There is some off-topic stuff being discussed, and yes thats a mom of 2, her kid plays a mean Rufus.
And I'm sure you can follow from there. Fun times all around.

They seem like good peopple. Im not sure if ill be able to go tonight. But if i do, ill let you know how it goes.
Ill probly be the youngest guy there but fuck it, someones gotta show em how we ranbat at PA.
oh cool, a response right away.
i won't be able to make it tonight, since i live downtown and it's a ways to travel, but i'll keep an eye on the thread for the next one. i work really close to the location they're using tonight, so it might be convenient in the future.
i would imagine that most are 20 to 30; that seems to be the fighting game age these days.
people really can't deal, and online trains them to feel like they can just walk away from something that is frustrating them. terrible.
He was getting heckled pretty hardcore by the announcing team. The guy was outclassed but running him down during his match isn't necessary.
But yeah, he quit like a little punk.
Eh, it's kind of what's going to happen at a tournament, though I do think commentators should avoid those kinds of comments. But you can't let that bother you during a match, people are going to talk shit, especially when you are up against someone everyone knows like Buktooth.

He actually blamed me for his loss to Aumni.
Seriously.
Which I suppose I understand.
I was in the room with them recording the match and made him nervous.
You collapsed his waveform by observing it
how insensitive
Well if the ninja turtles taught me anything, it was to follow my heart.
