Meanwhile, it seems Mike and Jerry aren't fans of Kinect:

Are they all as bad as him?
Christ, how long have these people been swearing up and down that the Wii HD would come out? The Wii's nearly 5 years old at this point people! The Wii HD isn't going to happen. The "Wii HD" will just be whatever their next console turns out to be with the next gen cycle.
You know, as much as they give traditional editorial cartoons shit a lot of their comics make zero sense without the paragraph or so of context given with it on the front page.
Do you remember this comic, perchance?
Similar concept, and Jerry is the only game commentator I can remember who really liked the Eye of Judgement. But the idea of a machine that hates its owner is just funny. And .jpegs are places for jokes. Real opinions are better expressed with text.
My point is that, sometimes, a funny comic is just a funny comic.
But a judgemental Eye of Judgement isn't inherently funny. Peek, if you dare...
You mean you haven't noticed that Mike and Jerry actually have a loathing of sports that aren't ping-pong? And that they have a history of feeling threatened or whatever by non-nerds enjoying gaming and having products pitched to those people? You haven't noticed that at all?
I clicked the spoiler. It cost me brain cells.
XBL:Phenyhelm - 3DS:Phenyhelm
I'm still crossing my fingers that this game heads to Virtual Console. It was never released in the US, but I don't think it really has much if any Japanese text.

Still don't know why MS can't design bulletproof hardware. Nintendo doesn't seem to have any problems.

:^: I doubt it's going to happen but as a NES nerd I like it a lot.
Also, I'm crossposting this from the 3DS thread because Henroid and I were talking about viewing angles a few pages ago:
Somehow a site I've never heard of has given us the best show floor coverage of the 3DS.
http://www.tested.com/tested-goes-hands-on-with-the-nintendo-3ds/47-75/
He shows the approximate angles that the 3DS loses focus at (he says about 15 degrees side to side), shows us the telescoping stylus, talks at length about a few of the demos, even shows us the length of the lines to see it. Really good coverage. I don't know why the big gaming sites didn't give us video like this.
If what he says is true about the viewing angle, the distance he moves in the video, there won't be much issue. Like I was saying earlier, all we had was a bunch of short text impressions without a lot of visible impressions. What they showed here is promising.

The guy who made those videos is an editor over at 1up.com. Apparently he has talked with Sunsoft and it sounds like it is a title they'd like to get on there at some point. Seemed like that Blaster Master Overdrive + BM VC release was the start of a big push to get some Sunsoft stuff on Virtual Console.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING CLOUDEAGLE?
I think that was the other game the guy mentioned as something they were looking at for VC. Still crossing my fingers :P
It looks like he bought one of the new Xbox systems.
Vic Ireland is partnered with Sunsoft to port over some of their stuff to the Wii. He's responsible for the Blaster Master games on the Wii.
If you have a GAF account, you can get in touch with him.
I think it makes perfect sense. Just look at the part where Kinect sees that the person is a hater. Kinect works perfectly and the person still says it won't sale.
I think you missed the reference.
This "slim" Xbox doesn't seem very slim... Why do MS and Sony's consoles have to be huge?

insufficient ventilation? Looks like it's sitting on an entertainment center with nothing covering the vent. I hope that doesn't become a problem.
TESTED.COM is a sister site to GIANTBOMB.COM. There is also a comics site, anime site, and now a movie site.
Meanwhile, it has begun. I visited slate.com, and one of the articles had this embedded:
Has there ever been an advertising character that was THIS punchable?
And according to the embed text, Marcus' last name is "Fanboy."
I wonder if they forced that error message by putting stuff on top of the 360 until it over heated.
At least it is warning people instead of just breaking.
Did they ever call it the Slim? Cause I think that's largely a media construct.
Meh. I think it has about as much potential as the other "unproven motion control that wasn't quite as precise as it should be" when it launched. Won't sell as much, but sales != potential.
Haha yeah, I only created it a year ago.. maybe one of these days they will bother to approve it for me... (not that I even care about using it anymore at this point)

It's called the Xbox 360 S. Take a guess at what the S means.
Smaller?
Special?
The S is for Sucks.
(obscure?)
