Miranda can also die at the hold the line section. She's just immune up until then in case you take her to the end so she can give her spiel.
She can? That must be pretty unlikely, though.
When I had just her and Jacob left to hold the line on my bloodbath run...she croaked.
Well, if you get everyone else killed, yeah, she'll die. I was mostly referring to the fact that she is won't go down as the Fireteam Leader even if disloyal.
He probably can't even understand the concept of death as humans understand it! Its like killing a child.
Edit: Tali's death at the end of the bubble section is probably the second-worst, because unlike the others she keeps screaming even after you close the door...

I've tried looking for it on youtube like 5 times now.
There is one long, depressing Youtube video which shows how all teammates die in every possible situation during the Suicide Mission. It was so hard to watch that I couldn't finish it. Seriously.
If that's the one I'm thinking of,
Mordin dies from terminal rocket to the face, not holding the line

Yeah, I couldn't bare watching that. I already know I couldn't. I don't mind being labeled soft, I've grown too fond of some of them.
So I hate Kaidan less, Garrus seems to be slipping further into insanity, Ashley is still a huge bitch (and growing larger all the time), and apparently I'm sleeping with Liara.
Not sure how that happened. Next thing I know they're saying the most horrible dialog imaginable in order to confess their forbidden love.
I might have to carry this save back into ME2.
When I import the save can I adjust my class and appearance? I tried to match my ME2 face but it's not quite there, and I don't want to replay the entire game as the same class my current save is already at (Infiltrator, which I'm also doing in ME1, which is apparently a bad decision since combat is terrible).

This happens more often than you'd think.
I went into my paragon game thinking, "Okay, I'm totally going to romance Ashley."
And I end up sacrificing her because, well, she wanted to go above and beyond. I didn't really want to stop her.
Ashley isn't racist. She's human first, just like all the aliens are alien first, then even comes a little away from that. Liara falls into your bed if you even speak to her once. I said "I want to talk to you," or something innocent like that in my Renegade game in part 1 and suddenly the romance kicked in.
Miranda/Wrex and Ash/Moridin as my party in Part 3 will kick ass!

She's not racist, but she's a complete and total jerk, and not in an entertaining way either. She actually says nothing good or meaningful or funny, and every time there is a discussion between the other characters after a mission she's by far the most obnoxious person in the room, which shouldn't be possible when a Krogan is included. Ashley's just some dumb grunt they picked up off Eden Prime out of pity or something, I guess she needs to overcompensate for that.

when you do a new game+, you cant change your class?
that would suck
That is indeed the case. Just re-import, like any rational human being does.
oh, so if i just do a new game i get the bonuses? not that intuitive to me, but hey, i get the bonuses to speed the game up a bit
Once you've completed an import game once, or a non-import game twice, all future times through get the baseline bonus (lots of minerals, fair chunk of cash). Imports still gain paragon/renegade, experience, and additional minerals (?).

Believe it was my last ME1 run when I left Liara to last, saving that mission to just before Ilos. The amount of knowledge the team has on the whole situation should've made her blueberry head explode. Oh, and we killed your mum. Sorry.
just cheat and be an all-encompassing engine of destruction, with your teammates as visually entertaining ornaments around you
Takes lot of the frustration out of the combat system

I'm glad someone linked Explosive Instrumentation. I couldn't figure out why Presley just keeled over. I figured he banged his head on a chair when the ship lurched! Or maybe there was a hull breach before he could get his suit on, I don't know.
During the intro when you're walking through the unpressurized area, I was sort of hoping that'd be more of a theme throughout the game. But alas, there weren't any spacewalks.
I don't like the Viper sniper rifle, I like the Mantis better. One shotting feels so much more satisfying!
a human life outranks a batarian life the same way a human life outranks a dog's life, or a human child molester's life outranks a batarian baby's life

I'm not racist, I just look out for white people before I look out for black people!
black people are a different species? O_o
No, but why should it matter what species someone is when it comes to morality?
It doesn't. That's not what's being suggested.
What's being suggested is that most species are going to have a predisposition towards looking out for their own and that you should both expect that, as a rational bieng, and react accordingly. Doesn't mean they're bad people, humans are the same way by nature. It's just a reality.
Except Geth, who are too rational to be racist and are pretty good at everything they do except when they were being led by a Turian, and to a lesser extent Salarians, who don't have time to be racist and are content to get shit done without worrying about who gets the credit.

Like the way that races will tend to 'look after their own'?
I mean just because it's understandable doesn't make it not racist.

I always figured she was a screamer. :winky:

i'm at the private terminal and i thought team status lets you do that? but there's no option to spend their points
Can't do it from the ship. Have to go out.
And yes, you can change both class and appearance in a ME1 -> ME2 game.
This happens more often than you'd think.

I do think she's way to quick to jump down Shepard's throat though. But some people find that endearing.
that would suck

Here you go. Jump to 1:35. The line is from one of the earlier scenes, no one says anything for dying at the actual hold the line part.
I find Kasumi's pretty bad, too.

that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Happens with Zaeed too.

Just make sure you reconfigure the buttons so they match what they are in ME2 or you'll get real confused.
No way man. The answer is always CHARGE!
