Wrex does nothing to deserve his tough guy reputation. All he does is shoot a disarmed man on the floor and stand up to Shepard. Big deal, I give him props for doing it but he went down easy. Compare to Grunt's first interaction with Shepard. Or the badass introductions of Jack, Thane, Samara, or pretty much any character in ME2.

Try visiting him in the cargo hold sometimes, he's got some fun stories.

    pussy stories

nice job getting your ass kicked by your dad and then running away when you could have taken his place, Wrex

remember when Zaeed got shot in the head point blank by his best friend then burned him alive several years later

remember when Grunt was also attacked by krogan commandos at a sacred site and murdered them all

remember when Thane saw salarians being harassed by Eclipse mercs so pulled a headshot that made Garrus blush

remember when Liara T'soni got pissed off and biotically Falcon Punched Shadow Broker agents

shit, Wrex was too scared of messing with SB

remember who killed the Thresher Maw before Shepard, without Shepard

remember who was hardcore enough to get the motherfucking entire krogan species to stay in line

remember who pulled out a gun on Shepard and looked him straight in the eye

sure, nothing to deserve his rep

    Magically?

Also, I agree with the below, ME has great potential for more random bantar like that Garrus and Tali bit, and they have yet to do as well with it as the Dragon Age team has with their IP.

Anything that comes out of Oghren or Zevran's mouth is hilarious in those small talk things in cities and travel. I would love to see the same from people on the Normandy crew, or characters like Grunt and Joker and Mordin and others.

Via the magic of alcohol consumption.

Hey, here's kind of a random question for you guys- does anyone know if this game looks good on a small HDTV?

I'm currently playing it on a 42'' SD tv, and I can't read the text for shit. I'm thinking of grabbing a small high-def for my room (I live with four other people, so room is best) and as such would want a small one, say around 22''. Has anyone played the game on a small tv like this? Is the text clear? Will it look pretty

I'm playing it on a 24" computer monitor, 1920x1080. Shit looks good.

As long as it's hi-def, you should be able to read the text fine. My television is 32", which I think is a good compromise between size and space.

killing a thresher maw is okay, I guess. I mean it's not a big deal to me.

Wrex's peace is extremely fragile and could fall apart at any moment. Even the Urdnot camp, capital of his rule, is still a total shithole.

what's the big deal about pulling a gun on Shepard? people do it to her all the time. Hell, Grunt grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against the wall. But he was able to take a couple of shots instead of going down easy like a bitch.

We first see Wrex being thrown out of a club, and see him a second time given a stern talking-to by C-Sec. He takes this, of course, like a bitch. When he finally joins Shepard, he says how dumb Saren was for betraying the Shadow Broker. What's he scared of? Liara handled SB just fine. Liara. The breathy nerdbait. Then we see Wrex in combat, thinking "well this isn't the kind of guy who goes looking for trouble, but when he's on the bounty you better watch out!" Except he dies to the turrets like a bitch and then has the audacity to killsteal Fist when he's down and unarmed. "I always finish my contracts" oh you're so edgy Wrex.

then he boards your ship and just stands on the bottom floor being useless, except for some resoundingly average merc stories and whining about krogan. He ran out of ammo hunting one guy on a station? With nearly-unlimited bullets? That just tells me he's a shitty shot.

This needs to be rectified in ME3.

I can't tell whether you're trolling or actually believe the nonsense you're typing.

    a) regardless of how stable wrex's society is, he's the first krogan to ever do something like it. Tuchanka is, by far and large, a desolate wasteland, why should the "captital" be any different?

    b) IF you decide to execute wrex in me1, he takes multiple point blank shotgun shots before finally breathing his last breath.

    c) In regards to citadel behaviour, what to you expect him to do. It's been established that wrex has insight in krogan behaviour and recognises its shortcomings. telling c-sec to fuck off and starting a gunfight isn't going to end well for wrex or the standard view people have of krogans.

    d) Liara isn't exactly nerdbait anymore, she's gone a wee bit crazy. Furthermore she doesn't engage the SB in the way Wrex would; you can't compare the two in that regard.

    e) going by popular opinion, the person wrex was hunting was Aria. Going by the recent dark horse publications, she single-handedly took out a bunch of collectors including a praetorian. Surely if wrex can injure and stand up to Aria he deserves some sort of recognition.

    a) the point is, Wrex is hardly keeping the species in line and his rule is more symbolic than anything

    b) he goes down like a bitch after Shepard smacks him, and doesn't get back up

    c) so he's a pussy. Shepard has plenty of gunfights on the Citadel, even before becoming a spectre. he's long given up on trying to better the krogan, what does he care about their reputation?

    d) Liara fights SB's agents with her fists and her gun and her mind, what would Wrex do?

    e) that was some time ago, when Aria was weaker and less experienced.

    b) It's shepard. he has plot punches.

    c) It's shepard. he knows plot-fu. He hasn't given up or he wouldn't be rallying all the krogan together in an attempt to save the species.

    d) Liara fights the SB via espionage, hence why she works as an information broker. I'm just going to assume wrex isn't capable of trickery and deceit to that degree.

    e) And you're basing that on what?

Do the krogan seem in line at all in ME2? Even the Urdnot camp seems pretty reluctant about the new policies. Wrex is ruling by force instead of the mutual understanding and cooperating of the krogan tribes, and that will never lead to long-term peace. The Urdnot camp is the center of his kingdom, if he can't sort shit out there he'll never save the species.

plot punches were a little less effective against the likes of Grunt or Zaeed, just sayin'. I call it as I see it, if Wrex goes down like a bitch then he went down like a bitch, it doesn't matter if it's for the sake of plot.

Wrex has given up at the start of ME1, he's reinspired after saving the world.

You didn't read the Redemption comic where Liara was kicking all sorts of ass.

Aria has been on Omega for a long time but isn't an old woman yet, people tend to be less adept when they are younger. Like how she couldn't handle one krogan merc. You can't assume that her collector-killing abilities existed during the Aleena business, or else I'd imagine Wrex would already be dead.

I do, and I think they should be eradicated. I know real cooperation will never happen, because krogan are too inherently assholish and don't even understand their own situation. The one hope is that they will all unite to fight the reapers with Shepard. Their aggressive culture cannot be sustained, but they are unwilling to change it, even after hundreds of years.

If the Cerberus logo is on something, it is either
    1. About to turn evil
    2. Already evil
    3. About to get killed by Shepard
    4. Already killed by Shepard
    5. Already Shepard

has just made me think that in ME3 there will be a cloning project to replace Shepard after he leaves Cerberus. Only the new Shepard will be evil. And your Shepard will have to kill him. And first they fuck.

the way i see it, she has a great basis for a character

it's not like there are no cool asari, she's both an educated field archaeologist with an extensive knowledge of ancient alien cultures and a great passion for it, and she's developed some survival skills as a byproduct. and she's fully prepared to both take on bad guys and scissor some ladies. i could see some cool characters coming from that background.

the problem is that she's acts nothing like the background she comes from. she's a wet drip with a breathy voice and a baby face who is nerdy and shy but somehow has amazing weapon skills and psychic powers. nerd fantasy, then.

It had some pretty annoying flaws but i wouldn't say it sucked.

I do miss the control you had over your squad mates appearance/weapons. But God, sorting through all the weapon upgrades to get the good ones was a pain in the arse.

The 150-item limit and the way it always bounced to the top of the list when you omni-gelled any mod were the really, really craptacular bits about the inventory. I can't believe nobody thought to tweak at least the latter part in a patch.

The rest was clunky, sure, but it was manageable.

I do miss being able to switch up squadmates' armor.

For ME3 it'd be nice if the outfits had selectable color areas like Shepard's do.

The black and orange theme they had going with some, but not all, the outfits was pretty rad. Made the team look classy.

EDIT: Also if they do any type of inventory I think it should be more literal - every item you carry should somehow be represented on the player model.
