First off, I believe that line is bullshit. But one of my friends doesn't and I am trying to make a good argument here. I personally believe that a guy with no backbone just comes up with that line as a crutch. Now since linksville is no more, I was wondering if anyone had a link to that one comic that had two guys discussing this. One guy was so upset that his friend (a girl) is dating someone that isn't him, saying things like "I was always there for her. I made her happy" blah blah blah, and then his friend points out that he was just basically just manipulating her into liking him in the first place. I really need to find this comic. Anyone? I wish I could be more descriptive but that's all I got.
Yes, that's the one! Thank you very much. Lock away.

I know that pretty much ends the thread but my theory on the "girls go for assholes, not nice guys" thing is simply that assholes exude confidence much more prominently than 'nice guys.'
I think it's less of a "he's an asshole" and "he's nice" thing, and more of a "he has a spine" and "he doesn't" situation.
