Things are going... oddly.. for me.

I had a nice and relaxing weekend (though it snowed, even though last weekend it was 70 degrees out. hah!) for the most part.

I saw Pan's Labyrinth, which rocked. I did a bit of painting and almost beat Zelda. Plus Natasha and I got to hang out and goof off in the snow, which is always fun.

However, they've started laying people off at my work (5 months after they hired them) and it's really bugging me. Why would you agree to pay someone a certain amount and then turn around 5 months later and say "oh, sorry... even though we knew how much we would be making we made a mistake and have to let you go." That's BS. If I leave it will force them to hire someone for more money, which is a nice "fuck you" to the company.

Also, someone I know did a bunch of drugs (3 days up on amphetamines and then a bunch of mushrooms) and ended up in a mental ward. So, y'know.. ups and downs I guess.

Sorry to hear about your work and the person you know, though. Ouch, that must be really distressing.

My housemate's boyfriend/now ex was really nice, but yes, it was the best thing for their relationship. It was a mutual decision and of course she's upset, but she's also being very sensible about it all.
