Apocalypse is one of those bad guys who is mega powerful but always gets beaten because he the bad guy, you know? It's like, yeah, technically he's immortal and invulnerable etc, but he always gets taken down in the end. The history of some super-villians is "got beaten by the X-Men, got beaten by the Avengers, gut beaten by Spider-Man..."

I like to think it is Apocalypse's horrible incompetence that ends up beating him 9 times out of 10.

Dude ain't never gots a good plan
Did in AoA. Noticably Parker was executed in that timeline. Hmmm.
Imho ending of the Avengers 2 was pretty awesome too:
Apocalypse and his four horseman spawned into the avengers tower because of the broken space time continuum
Plus, his new four horsemen now appear to be some varation of Wolverine, Tony Stark, Spiderman and the Scarlet Witch.
Whoa whoa whoa. I thought the Horsemen were
Daken, Red Hulk, Anti-Venom and Scarlet Witch.
That's seriously what it looks like to me. So either Bendis has had the worst idea ever, or the art in this one is even worse then the first issue, and I hate saying that about JRJR.
I got nothing wrong with it being any of those dudes. It's a nice change and mixes things up a bit, and seeing them fight the Avengers will be fun. But I do hope it's the heroes who have been turned, as that's a little bit more fun.

I mean, it's all opinions, but I think three out of four of those characters are possibly the worst ideas Marvel has had in recent years.

This looks more like JRjr's DD art, whenever he dealt with Mephisto or Blackheart or the Heave/hell aspects, he really made those things more rough and sketchy.
Apocalypse looks like he should go hang out in Invincible or something, or he shouldn't wear white after labor day hurp de durp.

Well, one or two of those guys I don't really like myself. But this is an entirely new context and new light we're seeing them in, not as they are currently portrayed at all, so this could go very differently and be lots of fun.
Its an interesting choice on Apocalypses part to have 3 of them growing out of literally horses, that seems like it would have more drawbacks than benefits.
When I saw them, I figured Alternate Universe, and for some reason I thought that was a female Hawkeye horseman on the right.
I also have a sneaky feeling, it's gonna be an alt universe apocalypse that they have to work with against an even bigger threat, and he's gonna be some half and half evil/good.
If it's Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Scarlet Witch that would make more sense because they are all Avengers.
Based on the CBR preview for AVENGERS #3, I think it almost has to be:
(spoiled for size/spoilers)
You can see Wolverine's three claws underneath his giant claws (instead of the weird wrist claw that Daken has), and the Iron Man horseman appears to be firing repulsor blast thingees.
Ya, with Hex Bolt's, there's no mistaking Witch now.
Agree with Wolverine cause of the 3 claws, and those definately look like repulsor's.
and if Spidey, it's gotta be a Spidey where he's still symbioted in some way ( Tho I was hoping for some Anti-Venom). Altho I guess the other's are twisted enough to not automatically pull the symbiote card for Spidey.
Edit: the teamp-up is still 100% possible tho, a giant battle is how the Avengers say "Hi"

Cable has beaten him a billion times with little to no psychic abilities
Magneto ripped him in half, again no psychic abilities
I am pretty sure Squidboy beat him up and took his lunch money once
How did that work? Is Apocalypse made of metal?

Step 1: Horsemen
Step 2: ????
Step 3: World Domination
Well Horsemen is a pretty good first step in any plan.
but then he just has them putter around
MY HORSEMEN I NEED YOU TO
BRING ME A SANDWICH
ALSO, TAKE OVER THE WORLD
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
Best results seem to come from picking douchebags as Horsemen.
Yeah, you'd have thought instead of picking Angel and Gambit and all those dudes he would got for evil mutants who like killing people.
Apocalypse is too dang theatric
there is no such thing and Dr. Doom is insulted you would think otherwise
I find it more shocking when genuinely evil people like Sinister get free reign with a power-up.
this week's punisher was pretty dang sweet, but was really just a prologue for Punisher vs Daken next month
Doom isn't theatric
Doom is Doom
I was kind of "meh" on the preview. I really liked Boschi's work in the last issue and was disappointed to see he wasn't drawing this one.
Daken, Red Hulk, Anti-Venom and Scarlet Witch.

At the moment but he's getting his own costume with his new series.
I cant remember, last time I saw him I think he was just in street duds.

I hope I am wrong tho.

Iron Horseman: War (red horse)
Scarlet Horseman: Famine (black horse)
Spidey Horseman: Death (pale horse)
I'm not very up on the horsemen, does the "horse" each hero is assigned to be have any significance?
