So I played L4D1 on the PC a lot. A lot. But now I play on the 360 due to shitty PCs. My friend was always trying to get me to buy L4D for the 360 (fat chance) but I eventually caved and bought L4D2.
On the PC I always played expert but the first time playing this with my pal and a string of randomers we didn't do too well on normal. I didn't survive two campaigns and actually died normally. The randomers would never use their mic (which they must have 'cause 360!), would run ahead and med kit whored. Versus was even worse.
What I'm saying here is, please God tell me that some PA people are active on the 360 because even my pal refused to use the game chat for versus and said we must use private making even the slim chance of teamwork between the four of us impossible.

The main issue is that there are alot of open areas that makes being the boomer an exercise in frustration. Hell, spawns are hard to get in general at times.
Yeah, I've ended up playing that one a few times the past couple weeks (as much for variety as anything else). Found it to be a lot more fun than I expected it to be, as I've typically thought of that one as the weakest original campaign.

DK does have an awful finale... but SF has tanks that don't always spawn- which is annoying when a tank for team a spawns but not for team b.
Plus that stairwell is camping heaven. Sure you can spit but its pretty easy to move out of it there.
that finale is pretty brutal on real vsl wouldn't worry too much about the stairwell. You don't get extra medkits in realism and separating the survivors is easier without the silhouettes.
As for spawning I think it works alright behind trees. But yeah some bits are rather open, others equally harsh.

I'd like SF more if the water actually made a difference. As it is, in vs, water does nothing of worth to the survivors.
Did another SF run. I like it on realism, but the finale bugged out again. Sometimes score increases, sometimes it doesn't - tank didn't spawn for them, did for us. Although the finale matters less on realism.
Wow this game is funny on XBL. I haven't played this game in about 5 months because nobody on my friends list is ever on really. So, I play MNC for awhile with PA'ers, decide I want to play a PUG to remember why I only play with friends and hop on.
Wait in a lobby for a good 10 minutes for everybody with mics. Everybody is talking about how they hate no micers and quiters. I tell everyone haven't played in 5 months, just want to finish a whole campaign....
First map we pretty much demolich them as infected. One of them quits. They go infected we almost get to the safe room, one survives. Next map, complete oppisite, nobody listens to me (used to play this game all the time) we get demolished, one of us quits. ANd it slowly goes that way as their team takes a hold. We get teamates on our team standing there doing nothing untill we vote them, even them leading, same thing happens.
The finale finally happens, and its just me one and the host on my team at this point, and he stops responding and his character isn't moving...
I love the game, hate the community. This is why I haven't played in 5 months and not sure the DLC will bring me back. The puggie is fucking annoying. I don't care if we win or lose, I just want to play a campaign. DOes losing suck? yes! But if everybody is talking and cooperating I don't care. I am a competitive son of a bitch. I play spades online to scratch my itch, I play games on line to scratch my itch, the fact is I'm not 15 anymore and can't play football,baseball,basketball etc... I love competition,but I'm not a sore loser.
So evidently a lot of you are late to the LFD2 XBOX party. I've never completed a campaign. I love versus. I suck at expert campaign. In verses you shoot your partner to get zombies/SI off them. in Expert campaign it has consequenses.
But I'm on the meta tag, I do love this game, feel free to send me an invite if I'm online and you want to play vs or campaign. The worse I can do is decline.
I've finally learned this with the MNC meta tag. If I want to play, I start a lobby, and invite everyone on to party and game. What are they gonna do? Say no?
