Ok, so I'm trying to get Champions Online working. According to their tech support, the problem seems to be packet loss between their server and my computer. This does seem to be the case, because this is what I got from a traceroute the dude told me to run:
Tracing route to patchserver.crypticstudios.com [208.95.184.25]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

Trace complete.

Notice a pattern there? So I googled atlas.cogentco.com and saw this:

http://www.justbroadband.org/routerwatch/te3-3.mpd01.par01.atlas.cogentco.com

I'm not entirely sure what I'm seeing, but it says to me that atlas.cogentco is shitting the bed these days and is likely the source of my problem.

I would really like to play Champions Online, so

1. If I call AT&T tech support is there any chance I can get them to route me through somewhere else?

2. Exactly how do I best explain this to them?

Thanks for any help.

edit: Another tech support guy now says that this likely isn't the problem and that it's an issue with the client, I don't know what to think anymore.
