Yeah the SVU is fantastic. It was the last sniper rifle I ran with for the gold star and I got the gold star in like 5 rounds.

Yeah, there were two suspicious dudes on the Dome tonight, MrKeisu and Madog. Both had crazy K/D (54-7, 34-5 for instance) and multiple people calling them out in chat. I'm really hesitant to call anyone a hacker, because I think there's very little actual hacking in BFBC2 and I didn't personally see these two doing anything blatantly hacky. But they were also being assholish about the whole thing, so I'd suggest banning on that alone.

Hailthefish, that was another dude who was crazy good with the SVU, but his K/D was not so ridiculous and I saw him playing the game normally. But that was just my impression of him.

CETANE was probably using a wallhack, or being conservative with his aimbot; me with a saiga and a squadmate was sneaking around in the back of Laguna presa, when he just stepped out from behind a rock 10 feet away into my crosshairs; We both fired, but I died instantly to an svu headshot, and his next shot triggered the death scream from my squadmate. I just find it suspicious that he was so accurate with a sniper rifle at 10 feet away.

CETANE's stats don't look out of line, wall hack of not. Madog was level 5 two days ago, now is 32, and has such interesting things as a 17 KDR as a medic and 85% of his numerous kills with the PKM are headshots.

Looking at Madog's stats, there's no way he's NOT using some sort of aimbot or other hack. Massively positive KD ratios in every class. 90% headshots.

Ranked servers have to have PB enabled in order to be ranked. And yeah, the guy last night had CETANE as his clantag.

The dome's IP doesn't show up as streaming to PB when I searched at PBbans.

And rRoot, the cetane from last night did have a clan tag in his name. It was [LFGTFO] CETANE. His actual clan tag was [AK], same as the cetane you linked, so... :?

You're reading your filters wrong. The Dome is not grayed out when PB is checked as required in the filters. There are only a few (like 20) non-PB servers anywhere in the world right now.

As for the wallhack claims, maybe he was using motion mines.

Also, for reference, since PBBans doesn't stream for us, because they are jerks, I have to go and have their manually generate a bfbc2_pbbans.dat file, which, because DICE does not allow FTP access, I have to open and copy all the data from and paste it into another thing to get the server to recognize it. I usually do this once a week to update the server for any bans that haven't update in general PB system yet. I do this once a week, and I just did it now.

People willing/loving to cheat are common. They're not proud about their K/D, no one (sane) with an aimbot thinks it's skillful. They think it's fun though, and do you believe they sympathize with other people on the server, based on your experience with random people on the internet?

Hell, a lot of them might be young and don't even know better. Hacking is very uncommon though, and I'm always perplexed about the arguments against PC games because they're so full of hackers. I think I met two hackers in MW2 in over 600 games.

Hacks aren't expensive. More often than not it's just a couple bucks out of your pocket for a month subscription to a private hack forum/distributor. And when private hacks are released public, people can get them for free and use them with no problem, but more risk. Some hackers I've known hack because they simply don't like the game they bought and are trying to get their moneys worth of enjoyment out of it by making you miserable.

I use a Saiga or USAS as a Medic. I treat reviving people as my full time job because it puts that life back into our score. More often than not I want something that'll put a guy down quick at close range.

For Recon I used a Saiga for a bit until I got the T88-S with a red dot. I switch between that and the Saiga. You'll get a lot of your recon points from sneaky C4 tank/objective bombing runs and motion mines.

Some people like playing a game with the restriction of its ruleset. Other people like playing a meta-game where they're in competition with the developers rather than other players. It's a bit similar to all other meta-games including discussions about weapon variables and community-generated game modes. I think you can name a couple of forums that make a hobby of testing the resilience of certain online multiplayer games via coordinated invasion.

For people that hack, getting banned and having to buy new accounts is analogous to getting killed in-game and losing half your xp/gold or whatever. They're willing to spend real time and resources on it because it's more engaging to them as a hobby than simply picking up a game, playing it like it was meant to be played, finishing, and then moving on to the next one.

This is all a result of the absence of a moral code of conduct enforced throughout video games. Nobody's ever really taught it on face; they have to observe by the example of those caught and publicly punished by the system. This moral ambiguity is common throughout the internet because nobody set any universal ground rules.
