It would be really funny if they roll out a bunch of different "Is this the new Man w/o Fear?" teasers, given the amount of rage this thread saw re: Nova.

It's entirely possible, and it would be pretty interesting to see if anyone else is in the running. Maybe Echo as the woman without fear? That would be cool.

I'm just a little worried that it's sort of trying to ape on Green Lantern a little bit. Space Cop without fear seems a little bit on the nose to me. Though I could be looking at this through oversimplified cynic glasses.

Marv Wolfman specifically created Nova as a Green Lantern knockoff.

They already put out a second one at the X-Men Panel, just with Gambit on it. Sooooooo...

They did?
That pretty much means this whole Nova thing is just a storm in a teacup. Hah! I'll bet marvel did than on purpose to get people riled up, I can dig that!
I think the Nova Corps are more US Marshals in Space rather than Cops in Space, in the Old West sense.
They are certainly not just a police force, because they also act as a military force in times of need. Honestly they are what the plot demands, which is not a bad thing.
Marvel is so sexist. I hate the implication that only men can be without fear. It is stereotyping women as cowering in the kitchen and Marvel shoudl be ashamed of this promo.
I cant believe you had to click this spoiler to tell it was a bad joke.
So - this show looks good! The designs look good, the animation looks good - and then they have to ruin it at the end with a "not everyone makes it, characters will die" speech at the end. Jesus fucking christ, DC.

At least they didn't go with the "characters will get raped" speech.

Just wait until they find some excuse to adapt JT Krul's classic Rise of Arsenal storyline to teen roy.
I bought it from my local comic shop, which is stuggling. Plus I'm already feeling bad because I'm cancelling most of my titles and going into trade mode, which means more business for Amazon.
Plus I don't want to wait another month for my RoK (I order things from Amazon on a monthly basis so as to minimize shipping costs).

I just want to say the name Generation Hope for an X-Men title is stupid.
Gillen writing it makes it worthwhile (unless he gets Land as his artist), but damn that's a bad name. It's like the first page will have a Maya Angelou poem on it.
There is great stuff on Earth and in Space. Prince of Power/Thor/all the godly stuff is working really well right now, and is just as good as the Cosmic stuff. All I'm saying is that Nova is in space and that's where he works, and bringing him to Earth regularly doesn't really fit. on the other hand, the Godlike dudes in space should work just fine, and I'm really looking forward to the Chaos War thing by Van Lente coming up. He writes the best comic produced by Marvel right now, hopefully he can keep it up.

This does make all of you geese look like really silly geese.
They got us good, I'll admit that!
Nova is cool as hell but he isn't a cop, he's a general.
I'd like a comic where they focus on a low powered cop solving crime in space.
Whodunnits get more whodunnity when you take in the fact that the shooter may not have even been in the atmosphere.

I wouldn't be suprised if the man without fear was Daredevil.

For some reason, they don't seem to be appearing on the net at all yet.

My guess is that it will eventually be Echo. But it'll be fun to stick a bunch of random people in that role.

No matter what you are doing
No matter what you have done
Joining the Avengers is always a big deal
also I do think Nova is radical
Never once did I say Nova is not radical

Generation X to have dimension hopping adventures
Angel to continue banging Paige
No Generation X
Fact
Along with Mondo and Skin and even Blink
While flying, no less. A tricky thing to pull off.
that was not good
(Earth still rules)
We need a Nova in space killing aliens and a USAgent on earth beating up Ronan the Accuser and Iron Man killing the Supreme Intelligence.
Nova to join the Space X-Men
What then
The Answer:
Pet Avengers in Space
Getting some of the X-Men back in space would be cool. Havoc, Polaris and Rachel Summers were all cool in War of Kings.
Rachel Summers is never cool in non-Excalibur
