I think Carl looks cooler then his dad. Heck, Carl has a TOP HAT guys.
Actually, I might give Carl a shake in CS, his game is based less around infinite loops now, right?
Yes. Loops are still a pretty big part of his gameplay, but usually only 2-3 reps.
That's fine by me. Plus his new projectile looks pretty snazzy. I think I'll mess him with a bit in CT to see if I can't get a feel for him before CS hits.
Yeah, the general rule for fighting games is AI is never like a human opponent. To get better you need to fight actual people.
Make sure you actively try and better yourself while you do it. Slinging your character against practiced assassins wildly as I do will not improve your skills.
Part of it is that because of a few shitty firewall rules on the part of the admin of my local network, a few PS3 games just will not get to the internet. A few do, and PSN tends to work, but namely Demon's Souls and Blazblue get hung up on the firewall.

Take that shit back to the arcade my brother
Meet people in the streets and bloody each other's noses over how cheap that dude's Carl is
The only problem with that advice is arcades aren't readily had in many areas. So how good the advice is depends on where you live. Going to these ranbats (assuming it wasn't a one time thing) is assuredly a step in the right direction though. Actually it's more than many people do.

Yeah fortunately quite a few of my friends love them some Blazblue. One even has an import copy of CS.

It's a fluffy white Spitz in the background of one of the stages. It looks just like my pet who passed away and they put him there just to fuck with me. :P

how newb friendly is this? << mostly a sf dude, played some GG, kof back in the day >>
It's GG friendly. Everything links into everything. The limited edition of BlazBlue had a DVD explaining every tiny mechanic, but those videos are available on Youtube as well.
Oh, that takes me back to a year ago. I came back from Field Training and it was waiting for me from Amazon. My birthday gift to me. And I would watch the DVD on my laptop while imitating combos and such...

Really. It is simple enough to get basic and intermediate-level combos down.
The rest will be learning things like spacing, safe blockstrings and mixups, how to maintain pressure, baiting, you know basic fighting game stuff.

it is very friendly
instead of tiny frame links, you have easy gatlings with 5 frames of input buffering
however, combos and blockstrings tend to be much longer and more complex, but it is mostly dependent on character. if you choose like ragna or jin, it's much more basic
there are also (on some characters) a lot of things to keep track (additional meters, projectile counts, frkz, object placement). playing one without those things generally makes a character friendly to new players

Guess that explains the mask.

Relius turned his wife and daughter both into puppets/robots. Ada is carl's sister.
Platinum is already taking that role anyway.
Just crazy.
Check the edit.
Pleasant chap, that Relius.

Why does my American Eskimo's death keep coming back to haunt me?!
Oh Venus! Why did that fucking vet want to charge so much just to tell us there was a problem with your liver?!

It's Valkenhayn's werewolf form.

Makoto could get Chipp's colors, I would have thought Valkenhayn would have got a Slayer outfit, and I have no idea for Trinity.
