Rumor is Lego Harry Potter is doing well. Anyone else hear the same thing?
Haven't heard anything about sales, but the 'reviews':winky: have been pretty positive.
The game is fun when it works. Too bad its buggy as shit.
My girlfriend bought it last Friday, and we burnt though quite a bit of it over the weekend, only to get stuck in a room under the charms classroom in Hogwarts (during year 4). The room has a dragon that's supposed to flip you up back into the classroom, only he doesn't. Now we're stuck, and because of the autosave, we have no way to restart the story and go elsewhere. The only thing to do now is start our save over..... so we've been doing free play instead, hoping for a patch to come out (yeah right).
In checking the interwebs, we discovered we weren't the only ones to encounter this bug, and apparently there are a few others.
Other than that, the game is pretty awesome. I was enjoying it much more than Lego Batman.

I know a surprising amount of people who have bought it that normally wouldn't bother with a Lego game, myself included
Anecdotal obviously
But it's pretty good and deserves the sales
I have no issue calling it the best Lego game out there. And I am not a Potter fan, at all.
I'm glad you enjoy it
But I really have to wonder why someone who wasn't an HP fan would pick it up
LEGO
Well yeah
It's a fun formula, but for example, I wouldn't pick up the original Lego Star Wars, because, you know...prequel trilogy
And I didn't pick up LEGO Indiana Jones 2, because, you know...Crystal Skull.
That and general LEGO games burnout. I'd probably get a Back to the Future LEGO game. Ghostbusters... Shit, there are a bunch of properties I'd probably suffer* through more LEGO 'fun'.
*I am aware that LIJ2 made some changes to the formula and this might improve things. I just don't care enough about the film IP to even bother at the moment.
Yeah, I had one bug during Chamber of Secrets, but luckily I was able to exit, restart that save point, and it was gone.
We've tried a few things, including restarting and nothing works. I can't remember the last time I encountered a bug like this in a game the reders the game unplayable.....unless you count the time I played KOTOR on the 360. That's not really the same though.
And exactly what good games are being cast aside DW?
WiiHD is still out there, seriously guyz! Why won't you believe me!
I still say the only reason why Nintendo would skip the holliday season for a new console launch is if they know they won't be able to make enough units to make it worthwhile. Which I seriously doubt
Not a lot of great stuff, but I want to talk about why Darkstar One isn't listed on the major retailer sites. And what's the word on Blacklight: Tango Down? Good game? Generic name?
It's not a big deal, I know that much. Space "sim" that lets you customize your ship, battle, trade, all that good stuff. I'd be interested if it's cheap, but I can't even find it.
So Blizzard's officially gone batshit insane and decided to make it so if you post on their Forums (any of their forums, not just WoW or SC2) after Battle.net 2.0 fully rolls out, you are forced to post with your real name. I wonder how many people cancelled their subscriptions today.

It's a good thing my real name is Harris xXbLaCkDeAtHkIlLeRxX, isn't it?

Oh my dear lord that's awesome. Blizzard's forums will probably gain 30 IQ points overnight.
Sacrificing any shred of privacy is a small price to pay to eradicate the stupid.

Sometimes I wonder why the fuck they do the shit they do (you know, this, the LAN thing, etc). Then I remember: Activision Blizzard.
A lot of people get paranoia over stupid things and their "right to privacy"
Yeah man, it's totally unreasonable to be annoyed that I need to give out my real name to post on a video game forum.
I think it's a bad thing. I would still vastly prefer that either A) you have a universal 'Alias' that you use to post on the forums, removing the level 1 alt crap
or
Clicking on a character shows all characters attached to that account. Either way, it's a better solution than every Tom, Dick and Harry knowing what my real name is. That's not information I'm necessarily comfortable with being easily available on a WoW forum!
With social networking its fairly easy to match a real name to an account and an account to an address, so those stories where someone knifes someone else to death over COD online arguements? Expect them to increase

And Santa would be right too. I haven't played a bad Lego Game, so yeah, I would have gotten it anyway.

I want to be the cane.
I already sold it for beegees tickets.

Also this statement doesn't even make any sense, nerd
Lego remakes of the last four Harry Potter games would be Lego Harry Potter Years 3-6
Close. Half a malamar.
They caught onto me when I tried to sell it for a bag of marbles and two hookers.
I stand corrected.

$50, and it releases in a few weeks instead of this week.

Actually on the balance this is a horrible idea.

Internet = anonymity.
I think this should be pretty obvious, specially for privacy reasons. There's a reason nick names exist in the first place.

A lot of people get paranoia over stupid things and their "right to privacy"
I still don't understand. Requiring names removes that anonymity, right?
I can't believe I have to post this...
Some people just want to be fuckwads.
Other people just don't want internet strangers to have personal information.
So I see you've played twenty hours a week for the last six months? Yeah we'll get back to you on that interview.
I mean people wouldn't be so protective if employers and creepers didn't pull a wide variety of shit.
Though I'm curious, as this might bring up a number of issues in regards to european data protection and privacy legislation.
Name I used? gofuckyourself.
I know, I know.
I'm also ashamed that I didn't capitalize it.

I understand that people don't want random strangers knowing their name.
But it seems, at first glance, that requiring real names will cut down on the idiots. And that sounds good to me.
