Also, wonder if this is a permanent thing with 2xp (well, double from the demo).
I haven't really struggled with leveling till 20 where now it's about 3-5 games a level instead of 2 or less.
Also, saw my 4th Prime already. Saw my first... thursday or friday I think.
Are you on Xbox with the gamertag Nocren <some number>? Saw that gamertag today and couldn't figure out why the name seemed familiar.

Don't know if you any of you guys saw this, sounds like solid changes to me:
We’ve been closely monitoring the class balance for the first week and have decided to make our first set of tweaks. Our game statistics and feedback from players show that we're off to a fantastic start with each class performing very well. However, within each class there is some room for improvement to make all the weapon, ability, and upgrade options equally viable:
Infiltrator
Scatterblaster damage increased to 15 per pellet from 12 – Those who got early access to the demo know the scatter blaster started off as a beastly weapon, we overshot our correction and we’re hopeful we've found the right setting.
Fireblast upgrade burn damage increased from 15 per second to 20 per second – The reduction in pellet damage was not being offset enough by the fire damage, so we’ve upped the fire damage a bit, each shot will do an extra 10 fire damage.
EMP Intercooler upgrade now changes the grenade recharge to 10 seconds instead of 7.5 – We know its super fun to run around throwing emp grenades willy-nilly, but it was too much. Besides, you can get the Intercooler pickup and still go crazy.
Scientist
Gear Shredder homing increased – This weapon is showing up as the weakest of the scientist weapons and we think the best way to improve it is to increase its homing function.
Sentry Damage increased from 8 to 10 per shot – The sentry was not quite giving the offensive boost we were hoping for, this should help.
Destroyer
Reduce the Thermo Rocket Cannon damage from 300 to 250 - The Destroyer was showing up as the most powerful class by a small margin and we think the Thermo Rocket Cannon is a big reason.
Chaos Rift Combuster Damage and Damage Radius significantly increased – You should be doing closer to 300 damage if you manage to hit a guy with both the initial blast and a cluster bomb. Hopefully this make the Combuster a better option.
Barrier Cooldown increased from 7 to 10 seconds – 7 was too fast, it was practically always available
Titan
Harvester damage reduced from 20 to 17 – This combination of damage output and healing was too much, we’re preserving the healing functionality and reducing damage.
EDK Techvolt damage increased to 140 from 115 – The beams look cool, but it needed a little more bite.
Flak Shield can absorb 500 damage instead of 666 – The flak shield was showing up as clearly being a better choice than whirlwind so we’re slightly reducing its power.
Some nice changes overall, don't really disagree with any of them.
I feel like PBR could use a little additional hip fire spread, but I guess maybe Scientist isn't doing well enough that they're worried about that yet.
Wonder if the changes to the Harvester will get me to try a different weapon. (I doubt it, but maybe)
Oooh, ya, that was him. Your name seems familiar...I kinda like the smallish community this game has. I've even recognized a few names from WfC.
I'm eico on Xbox if anyone ever wants a healer. Or I will try to heal you in between being chased around the map for the entire match. I've primed...Infiltrator is pretty annoying pre-grenade, Titan is pretty annoying pre-shield, and Destroyer without the slow barrier...blarg.
How many times have I hit the ability for Titan, trying to throw up a shield, but end up spinning in place? Soooo many times.
Those changes look great. Seem to match up with my experiences for what needed to be adjusted, and I don't see anything to really complain about.
Oh, also: If anyone wants a teammate, my X-box live tag should be under my profile. I might not be available often (my girlfriend just moved in with me, so I've been busy with other things) but if I am, and hop onto multi, I would be happy to join you. Only have my classes to about level 10 each though.
TBH the online mode has been neutered from what it was. It just feels empty now, balance issues notwithstanding. Removing content entirely is never a smart solution. Also you on screen just feels too small, like you're standing in an enormouos bland cavern. The scale is wrong.

One REALLY nice thing I like about those notes: They give you the reason for the change. I like the "oops, we nerfed this too hard" and "This isn't what we had in mind with this, so here's a change".
@Maddoc If you see me on Steam and want to play, shoot me a message. I'm usually down to play stuff. I played some TDM solo yesterday, and I didn't fare well at all. I'm going to fine tube my sensitivity a bit and give it another try at some point today.
I do not get the love for flak shield, at least for me it absorbs hardly any damage (it lets me last about 1 second longer), it slows me down and makes it easier for people to target me or they just back away and wait for the sheild to go down and kill me, leaving me to think that shield was useful
I prefer whirlwind even if its damage is less than WoC just because its always hilarious to do what I call the whirlwind ambush. Which is watching someone approach you as you hide behind a corner then activate whirlwind just in time for them to walk straight into you and die. Also its fun watching people panic and flee when ever you use it. Especially useful for driving people away from conquest points.

I suggest also yelling "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!!!" while doing this.
The online isn't balanced. That's all there is to it. Pretending otherwise is just the usual fanboy pandering. When you fire 5 locked on missiles at an enemy and die from being hit twice there's a problem.

Yeah, as a scientist, I can dodge a lot of locks and waste a lot of missiles because people get into cover as I do the same.
Are you having specific problems here or just generally bitching? Cause with specific problems, we might be able to help if you're willing learn and change your playstyle somewhat.
This is why I play conquest, or the equivalent, in just about every online game. I suck at pure deathmatch stuff. Always have, always will. My best KDR is about 0.9, and that's years in Warhawk. I just always die, a lot.
So, I try to be useful in other ways. I can capture nodes, or act as a decoy, or be a general pest. It's not glamorous, and I never get to the top of the leaderboard, but at least I feel useful.

Do you upgrade your weapons in MP like you do in the SP campaign? Because the Riot Cannon is clearly the best gun ever, but I imagine that final round in the clip upgrade would be a bit OP.

Yeah, there's a challenge for getting top scorer in TDM.
Got that once.
I actually like CTF in this though (learned you can use abilities while carrying, just can't transform). That mad dash for your base while your teammates either escort you or roll/fly to your rescue is awesome. Plus you learn all the ins-outs of a map.
Headhunter can be fun since its like TDM but with an alternate scoring method. I wonder though if there's a similar thing to Halo's version though (if someone manages to turn in 10 heads at once, their team wins automatically)?

Sort of. Each weapon has 3 addons that are unlocked via level, and you're only allowed one at a time instead of all, but the Riot Cannon can get Planet Buster (but not with extra ammo or faster RoF). Also the scrapmaker gets a new one (dropshot - no spin up time) and Path Blaster gets a Planet Buster-style one instead of Gambler (last shot is more powerful instead of a random one).

Hmm, I may have to try and wrangle my brother's copy again to play some MP. I probably should just buy it for myself... it turned out way better than I was expecting, and MP sounds cool.

Yeah, weapons/abilities are level locked, while the body parts are purchasable via energon earned via leveling or completing challenges. Unless you buy the parts via DLC (then those are free in game) or want the special heads (Dinobots, Insecticons, and specials that are level locked).

Flak Shield with Energon Harvester allows you to win some truly ridiculous close range encounters. Just use it when you need to reload, and drop it as soon as possible so that it's ready to go when you need to reload again. Mix with a heavy dose of dashing around and jumping.
I've gone 1v3 and killed two people by myself (At which point the cavalry arrived and helped me kill the third), and frequently leave close combat skirmishes with full health. Sometimes more health than when I started even.
Have you ever considered that you might just be bad at transformers?
I am annoyed I was away from the forum and didn't get to ask this question.
What I find fascinating is how some people heavily endorse certain classes.
Like I acknowledge I am a bad Titan, but I think my Destroyer and Infiltrator rock. So hearing of people doing amazing with Titan right now (and I've witnessed people do well) is a great thing.

wow.
Yeah, I'm pretty bad at most classes. Except infiltrator. That one just clicks.
strangely im terrible with infiltrators in this one. Even though it was the first class I got to 25 and I was good with one in WoC, I think its the lack a boost to damage after you de-cloak anymore
0
MaddocI'm Bobbin Threadbare, are you my mother?Registered Userregular
It sucks that you don't get the damage bonus for attacking out of a cloak or attacking from behind anymore, but it's definitely helpful for sneaking around behind Titans or Destroyers or capturing nodes.
I'm doing pretty well as an Infiltrator right now. I use the subsonic repeater with ammo clip upgrade whenever I'm up close, and use the Path Blaster to help pick off enemies who are far away (usually with support from allies). I can absolutely destroy Destroyers or Titans up close, but I'm absolutely horrible at hitting other Infiltrators.

Yeah I love the Infil, but starting to fall in love with the Scientist now
PBR is great, but actually the pistol thing is pretty strong too, just a little tougher to hit with
the assault rifle is pretty solid also, and being able to fly everywhere so fast, and two abilities that are both pretty great, healing or a slow turret
just wish you could goddamn barrel roll like in single player, what the fuck HMS

Well actually I usually use the PBR for close and medium range encounters, and the pistol for long range tagging.
I actually switched back to the enlarged ammo clip on the PBR, I like auto fire, but my tendency to simply hold the fire button down instead of choosing my shots causes me to waste a lot of ammo, and then I'm reloading at the worst time.
The scientist is absolutely my favourite class, I love the mobility and the freedom. You can fly circles around most enemies, and retreat to a safe distance if they tag you and pick them off from long range.

Please shoot me a PM if you add me so I know to add you back.
I have a lot of trouble using the Scientist myself. Partially as I have been getting some obscenely bad teams lately, and I feel absolutely helpless as a Scientist without some support.
Trying to get better though, mainly as the Swoop skin looks amazing.
Trying the Gear Shredder a bit since the balance pass. The homing seems to make it a decent side arm, but I do not know what the point of charging it is.
MaddocI'm Bobbin Threadbare, are you my mother?Registered Userregular
Charging seems to do dick all since the blades spread out. I've tried to use it as a "buzz saw shotgun" at close ranges before but even that doesn't seem to do anything.
Anyway Scientist is 100% easier for me to use with the Healbeam and Energon Recharge. Being able to sustain yourself in a firefight just by tethering yourself to a damaged ally is goddamn incredible.
Yeah, that's what I've found. All charging seems to do is let you unleash all three of your shots at once, except the weapon can fire fairly fast as it is, and firing individually you can place shots more accurately. And you can, you know, dodge and move like you are not knee deep in mud.
And I did a lot better after switching to Energon Recharger and Heal Beam as opposed to my perk less sentry. I also just realized I got the accurate perk on my Assault Rifle, so hopefully that will help out a bit too.

Maybe it'll change once the patch hits, but the Sentry feels useless to me.
Dies too easily, floats up in the air high enough that it can occasionally be difficult to hide it, and never really did enough damage to dissuade enemies from just running or driving past it.
