I still can't believe that you are telling people who just want to play the game that they are harassing the boosters. That's like telling aborted babies that they are harassing their mother's wombs.
If they just want to play the game, they can leave and join some other server where there isn't any boosting. Forever Zefiro himself admitted he was harrassing other players. Straight from the horse's mouth. I wasn't there, I'm just taking him at his word.

I killed about 5 of them before realizing they were boosting. The harassing was talking to them over mic. Especially when it kept putting me in the game with them.

And yea, you technically were boosting. What's wrong is that you're harrassing everyone who's trying to play a different way. They aren't going out of their way to harrass you, you're harrassing them. One
Emphasis mine. The people boosting weren't actually playing the game, they were doing what amounted to a circle jerk in an attempt to maximize experience point gain so they could unlock the perks and abilities of the classes earlier to gain an advantage over other players. Because let's face it, there are perks which are clearly better than others and some of them come at later levels.
The developers do not want players doing this, evidenced by the fact that they made Private Matches give no experience to limit farmers. Taking it to Public Matches runs the risk of people who want to actually play the game joining, and the boosters disrupting their game time which is a bigger problem since they're actually playing as the developers intended and the game mode itself describes as opposed to just farming XP.
The people boosting are capturing nodes. That sounds like playing the game to me. The point of Conquest is to capture nodes, and that's what they're doing.
And just because someone's not actually playing as the developers intended doesn't mean they're in the wrong. People bought the game, they can play it however they want to, as long as they're not cheating. And no, I don't consider farming XP to be cheating.
The point of Conquest is to capture nodes, yes. It's to capture nodes to secure a victory against the other team, and you can kill other players to help secure this win. In fact, the game also rewards you for this. One might think fighting the other team is encouraged! Crazy thoughts on my part, I know.
And no, it doesn't mean they're in the wrong. Doesn't mean it's right either, and doesn't mean it isn't interfering with other's enjoyment of the game (as opposed to someone elses super 1337 experience gain!). Plus your argument that people bought the game and can play the way they want perfectly supports Forever Zerofire's reaction, so I think you may want to rethink that line of thought just a bit.
But yes, getting off this subject, the price is a tad steep, but I don't feel too cheated thinking about it.

Sure, fighting is encouraged. But it isn't necessary.
I agree with you that the 9 players boosting are interfering with Forever's enjoyment of the game. But as logic dictates, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. The utilitarian in me argues that the enjoyment of the 9 players on the server outweighs the enjoyment of one Forever Zefiro. The most good for the most number of people.
And actually, my argument perfectly supports both sides of this issue. Which is fine. There's no need to rethink it. Forever Zefiro can act any way he wants to, but he should be aware that he's gonna get called out on it.

I'm jazzed to have a second Decepticon leader chassis. Soundwave is distinctive enough that I haven't been able to come up with a color scheme that differentiates him to my liking. I can at least make all my other characters into an original creation.
I haven't yet gone so far as to give each of my multiplayer chassi a name/background, but the idea is ticking the back of my mind.
I see what you did there.
At least Soundwave gets color schemes. Barricade barely seems to change colors no matter what you pick. I still love the little scamp though.

Yeah, that's a problem with the Cons in general. "Which do you want, gray-green, gray-blue, or gray-gray?"
Being a disruptive force against a larger whole that isn't acting as you want it to... that's just being selfish and needlessly adverse.
Someone's still pissy about the civil rights movement.
That's right, harrassing boosters on PS3 is like fighting for civil rights.
It's a competitive multiplayer match against strangers. The playground that high moon provides has very clearly defined rules, and it's the boosters who are breaking them. They don't have a right to play however they want in a public match because it's a public match. Before the match even starts, there's an unspoken agreement to conform to the predefined structure so there can be some sense of a game. You can mess around with your friends in your backyard however you want, make up your own rules, "have fun," but you can't expect an anonymous opposing team in a regulated game on a real court to conform to your elusive, personal idea of fun. That's what custom games/private matches are for, and the fact that the boosters want to be able to run ranked matches like private matches is completely unreasonable.
TLDR, you enter a ranked public match on xbox live, you're playing to win. You're not the fun police. Trying to make sure everyone has a good time is a game you're never going to win.
Is there a list somewhere of all the XP bonus values in multiplayer? Just wanted to know if some abilities provide a better boost than others or anything like that.
Okay, got my soldier up to level 25! Looks like the leader's next on the list, so I finally get a chance to spam the almighty warcry myself for a bit. I'm going to miss the ol' scrapmaker, though...
For anyone who hasn't already tried it, I'd recommend playing a few rounds with flak armour equipped - it has a suprising impact on your survivability. I haven't got numbers, but it seems to cut explosions (even the fusion cannon) down to about 1/4 of their normal damage.

If you can find enough boosters to fill an entire game then go for it, or if everyone in the game agrees, then fine. But if just one person doesn't want to boost, then you shouldn't do it. Or if one person quits, then you should stop. Otherwise people are forced to join these games when they more than likely want to play the game the way it was meant to be played. The regular players don't need to cater to the boosters, it should be the complete opposite. I don't care if people boost. I just don't want to play with them. Call me crazy, but I find the games where my team tries to win, and vice versa, more fun.

I've been thinking of dropping Whirlwind myself, because it seems like it isn't that useful without the speed upgrade, but that necesitates dropping Flak Armor if I recall correctly.
Also: Whoo! After a week long break, I just rocked some face with my Leader. 15 Kills and 5 Deaths in team death match. Would have had better, but POKE 2.0 bugged and failed to activate. I think the break did me good because I seemed to just be getting frustrated a lot before.
No demo that I can find. It runs on the U3 engine, if your rig plays other U3 engine games well, it should be find for this game as well. It ran without any hiccups on my laptop, but it is also made for running games (Asus G71GX).
Just got a chance to try out some of the new stuff VERY briefly.
The new MP maps are pretty big. Both of them seem to promote vehicle mode quite a bit. One of them is a little bit more confined, which scouts should dig. The other is REALLY open and has quite a few sniper positions for a smart scientist.
I didn't get very far in the two new Escalation maps (note to self, don't ever do Escalation unless with a PA crew. People swooping in and stealing your overshield or your ammo even though they have more than enough to buy their own. Grrr...) The Autobot map has a mechanic with the liquid energon that I didn't get a chance to play around with, but looks pretty cool. The Decepticon map has the turrets, which seems to make things easier until you realize how open the level is, which makes it quite a challenge.
I should be online tonight on 360 if anyone wants to try to get to 15 in these babies. I still need to hit 15 on the original Decepticon map as well.
Also, it seems like you can no longer choose which Escalation map you want to do. It just cycles through and you can veto if you want to.
Onslaught and Scattershot both get the mini-nuke. Demolisher gets the ammo beacon, which was insanely useful. He might prove to be the all-star for the Cons that Prime is for the Bots.

I'm up for this as well. I can also give a bit of new info on the new Escalation characters.
Onslaught and Scattershot both have a new Energon Skill, "Guided Missile," which is basically the Soldier's Omega Missile move. It's pretty nice, though I haven't tested it extensively. Onslaught has Dash as his standard move and Scattershot has Barrier if I'm not mistaken (would have to double check). Both seem to be pretty solid characters.
Demolisher gets Ammo Beacon as his standard skill, which is damn good. Basically gives unlimited ammo and boosts damage, though the cooldown is pretty long. His Energon Skill is Whirlwind.
Jazz has Moleculon Bomb as his Energon skill, though I can't recall his standard skill, and Shockwave has Hover and Shockwave, which might be the least useful skills in Escalation unfortunately.
Edit: Whoops. Teaches me for skimming Space Pope's post. XD I missed his character descriptions at the end.

I dunno, shockwave seems to be a good "oh shit!" power to use when clearing out some breathing room. Granted it does jack all against Brutes and Titans but against cloakers, machinegunners and spiders/holograms it does fairly well.
I'm not a huge fan since getting into close range is often times a bad move. It's not useless mind you, but I find it just doesn't compare to most of the other skills characters get in Escalation. I almost never find reason to use it myself, but I find it's rare for me to be surrounded by enemies in close range. The new Guided missile ability seems to be leagues ahead, since it can be used at a range and seems to have a pretty sizeable AoE.
When pope and I got up to wave 17 in Escalation, I was using Bumblee who has Shockwave. It can be incredibly useful for clearing things away from a downed ally (or an ally who about to become downed) long enough for your teammates to swing in and draw aggro, while you revive. That said, Whirlwind is invaluable for taking down Brutes very quickly.
