    Quick question Joker, when you sent out the addresses, did the same people get each others' addresses or is it like a round robin?     You need to send a track list. Making liner notes is half the fun of a mix cd.

    Well this is a busy time

    I will try my hardest to do the entire thing tonight and get it sent out tomorrow

    Because I work until about 1am tomorrow night and then leave at 6am the next morning for Colorado and will be gone the entire week

    So if I don't have it done by tomorrow it will be super late

    I forgot to post this yesterday. I will try and remember to do so today. Hopefully it will arrive in the States in the next couple of weeks (it would cost a fortune to get it there any quicker, and I have bad experiences of USPS taking a while to deliver packages once they have it).

    Get some bubble wrap and throw the CD in the bubble wrap and then get a small shipping box from the Post Office. (Assuming you live in the US here.)

    They only charged me $5 to ship it across a fucking ocean.

    I reconciled my laptop and my PC's music, added the stuff I bought on my iPhone, and will have mine in the mail by Monday.

    I'm not entirely sure i'm capable of album art, or other such snazzy things.

    Also clownfood, this cd is the inaugural burn for my new CD burner. The first CD I've burned on my PC since my old burner died 5 years ago. You're special!

    Yeah, I don't think I've ever burned a CD on this computer :P Just after wrapping up my mix, and I think it flows really well. That was a surprising amount of fun, however I'm not able to put in any luxuries such as fancy album art or anything due to my lack of a printer :( It's just gonna be a solid CD + hand-written tracklist.

    Okay so

    I am leaving for vacation in about 12 hours and will be returning one week from today

    This means my swap partner should probably not send it out within the next few days because my mail slot isn't that big and I wouldn't want it to go missing

    This also means it will be a week before I send mine out

    I apologize for the delay, but hell if I expected this thing to get started so quickly!

    Having no artistic talent, I'm thinking CD in a thin-profile case. Maybe a printed out track listing.

    All done. I can mail it on Monday, which will give me enough time to put finishing touches on the album art. Don't get too excited, though; I can't draw.

    I picked a really tame theme, so the songs are pretty standard. I've already got ideas for the next.

    Yeah, ordering these songs on a CD is going to be a challenge too. They're a bunch of different genres, with nothing in common except that they're in French. Hard to have an overarching theme to structure them here.

    I only got about 50 minutes as well, 10 songs I think. Could have done more, but I would have had to do way more work and stretched my theme. No reason to stuff 80 minutes on there if it's just a mix cd.

    Alright, mix is all done.
    I'll try and do something awesome for cover art/insert thing. It's going to take about a week to get there (Afghanistan), sorry. =/
    However! You get the awesome oppurtunity to have a special layer of 100% certified Afghan dust coating the package/cd/everything. So...fuck yeah!
