Oh, did not know that. I thought maybe a guest lecturer appearance or something smaller only because of how busy he has been. Good for him doing it though.

New Avengers
Ultimate Spider-Man
Scarlett (bi-monthly)
Takio (OGN with Oeming)
Powers (which comes out.....whenever I guess)
Moon Knight
Some top secret project according to the Architect press release
And on top of that he's part of the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, isn't he? That's a lot of stuff on his plate.
I love that Grounded seems to be entirely about Superman telling people how to live their lives, usually ending with the moral that anyone could do what Superman does in these situations.
But, it's bullshit. Normal people don't have super-hearing to overhear a child getting beaten. Normal people can't use their x-ray vision to see piles of drugs in stash houses, and then use their heat vision to burn said houses. Grounded would be a shitty story either way, but if Superman was spending a year not using his powers, learning what it means to be "normal" again, I could at least see the point.
It seemed pretty bad, but at least nobody was brutalized.
Yeah that was pretty bad
Shame really

Even beyond the title The Sentry: Fallen Sun (a groanworth pun on something that didn't even really make sense when it was hung on the memorial for Captain America), and the fact that it's a comic that pretends that anyone cares about the Sentry (which they don't, outside of the truly amazing Jeff Parker/Paul Tobin scripted Age of the Sentry, which was more of a tribute to the Silver Age than something that actually related to the character himself), the third worst comic of the year was just riddled with some downright lousy storytelling.

I think the low-cut top bugs me the most. For what seemed to be an effort to give Wonder Woman a less sexy, more serious costume, displaying a bunch of her cleavage seems really counter-intuitive.

Where else is she supposed to keep a knife while she fights? Her pockets? That is the true meaning of the cleavage window. It's better than the bulletproof codpiece on Batman's new outfit.

At least now the top has strings to hold it up. In her traditional outfit, her boobs should be flying out with every jump.

I think Wonder Woman should look sexy
She's Wonder Woman. Being incredibly attractive is a thing which she does
Luckily that wouldn't happen, because she's a cartoon character.
I'm of the mindset that the aesthetics are more important than the logistics. In reality, Batman's super-duper kevlar wouldn't reveal his every muscular striation. But it looks cool, so who cares?
Edit: And Solar, I personally don't think Wonder Woman should look overtly sexy. She can be beautiful in kind of an austere way, but she shouldn't look (and I hesitate to use this adjective) skanky. I think new-Wonder Woman looks skanky.
The most interesting thing about Wonder Woman is her status as an ambassador, and her outfit ought to reflect that. Ideally, you'd be able to look at her and infer how the Amazons see themselves and what image they want to convey to the outside world.
Thor would be a good example of this sort of thing, as he projects a sort of larger than life heroism and overwhelming power that is characteristic of Asgardians. You look at him, and you can make educated guesses about his culture and how that affects his relationship with our world. He's attractive and familiar, but also alien; he's noble, but also imposing.
Personally I think DC should really be worrying about the quality of their output as opposed to how much its costing
Also it says a lot that in order to do this they're making books have less story.

I would say in the past three months DC books have taken a noticeable spike in quality compared to summer of 2010.
Superboy, Detective Comics, Knight & Squire, Emerald Warriors, Batman Inc, Action Comics, Batgirl, these are all books with a new creative team or member in place recently that really brought up the quality of these books.
And if less page counts mean death to the splash page, I'm fine with it. Skimming Avengers #8 in the store last week you cut 3-4 pages from it (Red Hulk and last double page splash) and there's no overall difference to the story.
It really seems like DC is trying to bring back top talent to all of their books. Bedard and Milligan are great writers, and it kind of upsets me that now I'm going to have to pick up another Green Lantern monthly just because all of them have excellent writers on board.
Of course this is in addition to putting Lemire and Snyder and Cornell on books and attempting to put Nick Spencer on Supergirl and then on Thunder Agents. In the last year, they've really made a lot of progress in terms of writing talent.
launching Red Lanterns as an ongoing right from the beginning is pretty ballsy. i figured that if they were going to give the other corps their own titles they would at least test the waters with a mini-series to see if anyone cared.
with that said, i'm seriously on the fence about picking up Red Lanterns. i think the other corps have diluted Green Lantern and the story has gone on way too long. Johns' GL ongoing is a mess right now and I mostly blame how unfocused it has become with Johns trying to juggle all of the various Corps at once.

The man works hard
I mean it's not even like he does series for a few issues and then leaves
He has written two Avengers books a month almost nonstop for years and all Ultimate Spidey issues
And his work is filled with dialogue as well
Runners up: Titans - Villains for Hire, Cry for Justice, Sentry: Fallen Sun, Rise of Arsenal
That sounds like something JMS's Superman would say
That sounds like something TexiKen would post.

Surprised Borders hasn't gone bankrupt and out of business yet in the past two years, but that's going to hurt smaller publishers and Diamond.
Grounded totally deserves worst issue of the year
At least RoA was entertaining
Edit: Read the first page of the article. Nemesis was tied with Titans

It's Ka-Zar, so yay. But Jenkins has been in a very long slump in the past years or so, ever since his last Sentry mini with JRjr.
You got your MODOK in my Mojo.
edit: and DC is drawing the line:
See that WW outfit looks good!

And the letters page returns to DC comics. No longer than 500 words please.
The artist didn't even bother to differentiate between him and Barry in the group shot.

It wouldn't have really made sense, as Wally's currently a pretty happy guy, but I always thought that costume looked cool.

I'd rather they add a recap page to their books.
