TDK is completely stand alone. It is a great movie but to the degree of what TLB said, I want over the top in my comic movies. Less Hulk fighting dad-cloud and more Spidey fighting Sandman.

Awww....Ant-man won't be in the Avengers movie. Ah well, it just means Nathan Fillon has a movie all to himself.

Anyone else think that, if they were to make more Star Wars movies, Nathan Fillon would be perfect as Han Solo?

I've been saying for years that Nathan is a young Harrison Ford. Only not as successful. That should be a crime.

Trailer is up for the new Avengers cartoon airing on Disney.

Looks pretty cool. It could use Spider-man and more Black Panther though.

But at least there is no Wolverine.

I want my comic movies to be chock full of silver age wackiness

I want my Fantastic Four movie about them stealing Blackbeard's treasure for Doctor Doom

I want my Spider-Man movie to have Spidey fight The Thumper, Paste Pot Pete, etc.

I want my movie Batman to throw car batteries at people and wear pink costumes.

I want my Superman movie to feature Super-ventriloquism, damnit

So you want Batman and Robin?

Batman and Robin was the closest representation to what I want all comic book movies to be like

there was not enough car batteries being thrown or shirtless swordfights

There were nipples on the bat-suits. Nipples.

That was the tip of the iceberg for me, but very indicative of the quality of the whole movie.

I will admit that upon reflection, it could have been a good comedy. The reason Batman and Robin was bad wasn't because it was ridiculous, it was because it wasn't all that well directed.

There's plenty of room for the ridiculous in modern superheroes.

Hell, my favorite idea for a Spider-Man movie villain is still the Spider-Slayer.

    AmazingSpider-Man025.jpg

    It would be awesome.

    Blue Beetle

Looks pretty cool, short as it is. I have doubts over whether a show could consistently have that level of special effects, primarily due to how incredibly underwhelming Heroes was in that regard. But I think Jaime would translate well to a show aimed at teenagers.

    So does Clark.

Also: Batman and Robin sucks. It isn't amusing in that stupid funny Batman '67 way. It's just lame. It might be more enjoyable if it weren't considered part of the Burton series, but even then it wouldn't be very funny.

Personally I blame Alicia Silverstone and Chris O'Donnell. I kind of even liked O'Donnell in Forever. But B&R has too much George Clooney not giving a shit to balance out Silverstone and O'Donnell being unwatachable.

I was just thinking about how there was that scene in the first season of Heroes, where Peter and Sylar's giant climactic fight was depicted as flashing lights blinking from beneath a door. The Beetle stuff does look kind of like what you'd see on a Sci-Fi Channel original movie, but I assume that's still more than the budget for a typical hour/half-hour TV show.

But I'm pretty ignorant of the inner workings of TV production.

Look in the bright side, at least we didn't get Marlon Wayans.

No, seriously, guy was supposed to be Robin. He either got paid out to not be in there, or still gets royalty. Kenner, or whoever had the toy license at the time even had a toy ready for him which they hastily repainted.

One would think. The only reason i can think of is Wayans had signed a contract and then everyone found out he was playing robin and lost their proverbial shit.
