Relating to the story further on in the game:
Does anyone know where the hell Lucy goes around Sequence 6 or 7? She just disappears from the room and I couldn't find her anywhere outside. What I did find was a red trail of footprints in Eagle Vision going from near the back entrance to the drain down below the old training area, though I'm not sure if that appeared then or was there from the very beginning. It's strange.
The footprints were there the whole game.

I assume its the path they took dragging all the equipment in from the van (since it ends at the bottom of the stairs near where they parked at the beginning, and leads all the way to the doorway in the back.)

Though why they were red, and why it was important for them to be there anyway is a big question.

    Even in AC2 I thought
Lucy was a Templar. It was all just entirely too easy, I wouldn't be surprised if the blood on her shirt from the beginning was really that of an actual Assassin meant to retrieve you.

Is it possible that the red footprints aren't from the present day, but Desmond seeing the footsteps of that thief who betrays Ezio and company? Some sort of residual Ezio memory bleeding through to Desmond?

I never finished AC2 and I'm having no trouble in ACB. But then I find the story ridiculously dumb and I skip every cut scene I can.

I seem to get such rotten luck some rounds.

I spawn really close to the person chasing me, but across the map from my target.
Most times it happens several times in a row, and then I lose because its impossible to reach my target before my assassin finds me.

Also, why is there SO little other NPC personas that are the same as me?
Whenever I look around closely, the ratio is not even at all.
I know its supposed to be random, it just seems very skewed.

If I spawn and there is not another NPC like me around, I'm fucking dead within 20 or 25 seconds.

I'm also not level 14 yet, so no morph either.

Punching stunned dudes in smoke bombs is pretty fun though.
Especially if their assassin kicks them in the face or something while stunned.

I think it's more straight forward than that.
It's clearly not just red footprints, if you look at the steps, they're smudged. It's bloody footprints, probably the bloody footprints left by Ezio after the attack.

I woke up at 5am to play this game. I opened my eyes, didn't feel tired and just got straight up.

I only do that for certain games. I did it for prototype and tfu (I know that last one is because Im crazy).

Anyway, so I have some breakfast, boot it up and I run around a bit then decide to fight this group of 4 guards with my giant kickass claymore.
I kill streak a couple of them then I'm on the last guy and he's this agile guard who dodges my claymore kill streak move. So I go to kick him, he dodges it. I swing he dodges it. This continues in succession for a few seconds until I get mad and throw my claymore at him.
    He didn't dodge that.
What a great start to my day.

Other moments of cool that happened yesterday.

I aggroed a crossbow guard and sick an assassistant on him. He shot me in the meantime and I'm like "ow" in a casual sort of manner and try to drop line of sight. He starts running towards me with his cross bow out and my assassistant cooly jumps on the roof, walks up behind him and blows him away with a pistol.

Another one I called an assassin on a guard while riding a horse and the guard noticed the movement and comes over to me going all "oh yeah you think you good waving your hands in the air eh? eh?" and pulls me off my horse and starts pushing me. I just stand there, waiting, not resisting, while he screams at me about random shit that ends in "urk".
Then there is death and such and I calmly get on my horse and wander off.
No need to get mad at dead men.

Oh yeahhhh an important UI improvement they've made.

You can change the target once locked on with the right stick before you attack. (edit: bolded the correct stick. it's the camera stick. i said left before because it is early in the morning ) Like before a fight starts.
Press towards the target you want from the perspective of your current target.

eg if theres 3 guards (2 mooks "*" and your current target "T") and you "8-)" standing like this with you behind the pack and you are currently locked on one of the guys at the back

    *
    *T

    8-)

and you want to target the lead guy, press forward.

    T
    **

    8-)

you would press left for the other guy at the back etc etc.

    *
    T*

    8-)

it's very handy. works the same as prototypes target switching.

I was thinking about doing this but my Gamestop wouldn't let me do an even trade and I read the Lens of Truth analysis that showed a frame rate difference of only .05 FPS lost between the PS3 and the 360 versions. Both are locked pretty good at 30 FPS. But then again I've never read one of their reviews before so I don't know if that site is reliable or full of shit.

I trust comparisons a lot less than my eyes, having played the PS3 version and seen videos of the (very smooth in comparison) 360 version

GameStop wouldn't let me do an even trade either, so I traded in Brotherhood along with New Vegas which I absolutely cannot stand, so it's win-win. They actually owed me three dollars and change.

Damn, I just had one of those moments in Multiplayer that makes me love it. I had killed my target up in the roofstop and I get the alert that my pursuer is behind me. I take off, and 2 more of the red arrows pop up, another behind me and another to my right. I get to the edge of a roof, use the smoke grenade and jump. Lose the two pursuers that were behind me, bu there's still one left. I land on the ground, turn a corner and use my disguise ability as I blend into the crowd. The guy ends up running past me.

Felt like such a damn bad ass.

It's less that your eyes would be telling you the truth about the frame rate and more that you happen to like the feel and look of the 360 better. Which is fine in and of itself.

I don't really trust my own vision in terms of being able to tell, not because I think it is abnormally unreliable, but because I know it is normally unreliable. Like everybody elses.

(I'm just trying to head off someone starting a silly argument with you about wether or not there is actually a framerate loss. There's multiple sources that state there is not. However you prefer the 360. Which is an entirely rational reason that nobody has to argue about.)

Weird, mine let me do an even trade. I'm the dissenting opinion tho; I only notice bad framerate on the 360 but the textures more then make up for it. The lighting is worse too but only in a few specific instances.

I honestly wish I could somehow enable a bullettime slowmo cheat or something so I could do the "stomp on their fucking head" kill streak in glorious slow speeds.

you know how sometimes you will stab a guy on the edge of a rooftop and fall down? In AC2, you often were facing directly away from the wall and couldn't catch yourself. ACB has enabled a back catch where he will turn around and grab behind him.
So I stab a guy knowing this, see that I'm about to fall and hit grab.

Instead I get a really sweet looking bug where Ezio steps off the falling corpse in mid air and hops lightly back onto the roof. I know it was a bug because shortly after he did the mid air step off he did the "grab" animation in the air.

But I chose to ignore that bit because it looked cool.

Also one of my assassin's leapt two fucking stories from the ground up onto a guy on the roof. I'm on the roof a short distance away watching my guy leap up from the middle of a street, arc up into the sky and down onto his target while I'm going :O. I swear the assistant bugs have been deliberately left in just because they are awesome.

but don't keep repeatedly going for it if you are hating the game that much. do something else. if that's all you have to do, then id suggest you turn off all your hud and go for a ride around the city.

you will be amazed by all the little details that are in this game.

like the women with little umbrellas and half eaten apples. the herald speeches are also neat to just hang around and listen to. the ambience and voices of people are great. i spent two hours today just wandering around listening and seeing. it's a beautiful game.

you can only use them when you replay a memory. then once you are in the replay, you go to the options menu and there will be a cheats menu. they disable saving when on.

    that too

but don't keep repeatedly going for it if you are hating the game that much. do something else. if that's all you have to do, then id suggest you turn off all your hud and go for a ride around the city.

you will be amazed by all the little details that are in this game.

like the women with little umbrellas and half eaten apples. the herald speeches are also neat to just hang around and listen to. the ambience and voices of people are great. i spent two hours today just wandering around listening and seeing. it's a beautiful game.

No, no, I like the game plenty. Single player, anyway. But timed fucking tomb runs and no-hit missions will turn me off any game.

A lot of the ambient dialogue is amusingly terrible.

Some would say I am quite artsome!

The no-hit missions aren't too bad to be honest, but the timed tomb runs can die in a fucking fire.
