I was set up for a taunt kill in the hall next to defense's 'C' exit on Steel. Doomgaze come around the corner as huntsman sniper, takes aim, and misses the headshot.
And dies.
That was such a wide range of emotions in about a second. As soon as I missed, I thought to myself "Wait, he's still a good 20 or 30 feet away from me. There's no way that will kill me". Then it did.
The best analogy I can come up with is the feeling like when you're in a chair leaning back too much, and there's that split second where you swear you're about to topple over. Then there's a split second thought of "I'm fine, that was stupid" right before you actually fall over.
We should play that on the servers. One team goes all C&D spy, they pick a hiding spot and aren't allowed to move, other team tries to find all the spies.
we did that once in game as a class rush sort of situation. We just hid on Nucleus in all of the most ridiculous spots and then popped out when the round was almost over to rush the point.
I played it the other day on one of the SA servers. It was like 22 C&D spies vs 2 pyros and every spy that died went pyro after. It's actually in favor of the pyros I'd say, even with the spies being allowed to move. They'd declare the last 2 spies winners regardless if they were found but I have a feeling they would be anyway with 20 pyros running around.
