Passed on it, thanks. Also KING'S FIELD OHZ MY GODZ. Such good times. The first time a skeleton emerged from a chest I about shit myself.
GEH
The first two made for some really creepy sequences - the termite nest, the mines, the passage of death, Orladin's palace - but The Ancient City was on a completily different level of awesome. The subtlety of the music and background noise, the overlooming darkness of most areas, the slow but ever persistant onward creep of enemies - nothing gets your blood pumping like slowly creeping down a cooridor, watching for enemies and traps, and then turning around to see the shuffling, armor-clad figure of a zombie slooooowly approaching down one of your few - or only - avenues of escape and maneuver. If these dudes ever got around to making a roguelike it would be an absolute smash.
So... Singularity for $19.99?
I've heard decent things about it, though I can't speak from personal experience as I'm waiting for a sale on Steam to buy it myself.
Crap, Mass Effect 2 for 10 bucks...I haven't even beaten the first one...
EDIT: If "One of the all-time favorite Nintendo characters" turns out to be Kirby's Epic Yarn for like 20 bucks I am going to be pissed, since I pre-ordered but haven't gotten around to actually playing it yet (stupid Rune Factory and Fable 3).
"One of the all-time favorite Nintendo characters" was pretty misleading, since it was Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. And I was so damn close to buying SoulSilver, but managed to hold out.
Beating the first one is so worth it, for getting to keep your Good/Evil character.
So apparently Earthworm Jim is FREE to Xbox Live Gold Members...in Japan.
Im not so sure what the policy is on creating accounts for other regions, so I wont get into it here, but it was easy.
The only downside is I know no Japanese, and I guess my XBox was out of free 1 month gold trials. Like an IDIOT, because I NEVER LEARN MY LESSON, I tried creating 2 accounts, and used 2 48 hour codes (one of them specifically said "Good for promos and discounts!" that came with Left 4 Dead 2), and neither of them worked, so I guess Im out of luck.
People online are reporting success with any form of free 1-month trials.
Now I just wish I could navigate any sort of menu's to make sure that they don't have any billing information (don't see how they could, I never entered any...) so I don't end up with wacky yen charges.

Super Meat Boy ought to be available for "pre-order" right now for $10 on Steam. I use quotes because it actually releases today, but if you wait until it's actually downloadable you will pay full price. In a few hours the price will bump up to $15, so if you're the type who hates yourself but loves to hold onto money, now is the time to grab it.
Okay, I don't feel so bad; I bought Hot Pursuit on 360 at that same price on Black Friday. :P Amazon must have a shitload of those things, because they've had deals on Hot Pursuit this entire time.

I couldn't resist the deal for Plants vs. Zombies on 360 today. My cousin was visiting and had it on XBLA, so we played it a while on there and I beat it. Does anyone know if my saved game from the XBLA version will work with the disc version?
Considering how close the 3DS is and that I can't think of any good DSi-exclusive stuff I'll take a pass on that, and the rest of the deals don't sound very enticing either.
EDIT: I'm guessing that last one is Halo: Reach, which I got during the first day of the sale. Hopefully they're keeping the 50% price cut from last week.
GameFly is once again doing there "Its so fucking cheap it is disgusting" thing, where for a week things are so cheap you get sick to your stomach because you're so poor and have a huge backlog and it's just too good to pass on. Last year I got WET for $12, Madworld for $8 and my brother a Rock Band Track Pack for $8.
The best thing is - GameFly is the BEST. BEST. place to buy used games. They ship super fast, are in amazing condition - and the best part - the manuals, inserts and cases are pristine. They literally must just open them, take out the discs, and store everything. They have always still had the plastic seal (just cut down the middle) in my case, and they always contain any sort of "buy it new" codes and stuff in the box. The Rock Band Track pack still had the export code in it.
Yesterday they had BioShock 2 for $9, and Splinter Cell Conviction for $9, and Transformers War for Cybertron for $12. They MAY still be on sale now, but it switches games daily around 3-4PM EST.
Also all of this is free shipping.

Walmart's apparently spread its retail dominance over so much of the country that it no longer has a need for your usual economic motivators like ... um, profit. The store is offering shoppers a $35 bundle which includes either a Nyko-brand Wii Remote or a Power A Wii Pro Pack (which we demoed earlier this year), and their choice of one out of a list of pre-selected games. At that price, you'd expect the bundled games to be shovelware, but the inclusion of Epic Mickey, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 2 might convince you otherwise.
We don't know how long this deal will be available, but considering you can purchase a Wii Remote, Nunchuk and a game for less than the standard retail price of a Wii game by its lonesome, we're going to wager that it won't be available for very long at all.
It's been long enough; I need to grab Just Cause 2 for the PS3 again
I stopped because there was a glitch on one of the oil rigs that prevented you from getting 100% on it, which in turn prevented you from 100%ing the game
I stopped playing pretty much immediately because that is a gigantic game that was beckoning for me to 100% it, and I wasn't going to settle for 99.8%!
Toys R Us has a Buy 1, Get 50% off sale on all videogames & accessories, which for all intents & purposes is the same deal you'd get during their B2G1F sale.
I was planning on getting a combination of Kirby, Sonic, or Donkey Kong, but today's Amazon deal may make that much easier.

Nope, only Vanilla WoW comes with game time.

EDIT: Woah, where did all this shit in the lightning deals box come from? And why the hell is it all expired?
HOLY SHIT BOYS WE'VE GOT A LINEUP CHANGE
EDIT: Aw man, Lords of Shadow for 35 bucks, should I get it?
Ah well, it's been a while since I played a Castlevania, as good a place to get back as any.
Thanks for the info, I just called them up and they credited me the difference with zero complaints.
DotD is Just Dance 2 for Wii for $25.99 and the current lightning deal is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for $29.99 (PC) or $34.99 (PS3 / X360)
EDIT: I'm guessing that last one is Halo: Reach, which I got during the first day of the sale. Hopefully they're keeping the 50% price cut from last week.
Seconding this.

It apparently sold horribly, so that's not a bad guess at all.
That's Purple Wednesday for you.

This deal is somehow still good, gentlemen. Kirby's Epic Yarn is on there too.
Total price is $70
$35 is the base price, plus $35 for the game
I have no need for a shitty third-party Wiimote
EDIT: It apparently ended at midnight
Nope, it's still working for me.
Edit: Hm, this apparently only works for some games on the list now.
Im am OFFICIALLY OUT OF MONEY.

I can remember playing The Journeyman Project games as a wee lad.
I can tell you that GOG's Journeyman Project 2 runs like an absolute dream.
XBL : lJesse Custerl | MWO: Jesse Custer | Best vid ever. | 2nd best vid ever.
Front Mission Evolved for PS3 / X360 $34.99, PC $25.99
And Professor Layton / other brain teaser games are on sale for the DS, including
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future $20.99
Professor Layton and the Curious Village $20.99
Professor Layton and the Diabolocal Box $20.99
Kirby Super Star Ultra $20.99
Brain Age $13.99
Brain Age 2 $13.99

It appears that the Kirby Wii game will be a lightning deal in a few hours.
I was planning on getting a combination of Kirby, Sonic, or Donkey Kong, but today's Amazon deal may make that much easier.

It looks like a terrible version of LittleBigPlanet.
I know the Prof. Layton games get a lot of love here, I'm thinking about picking them up as a gift for my wife.
